That fracking vote was a mistake!

Looks like a democrat numskull hit the wrong button and voted yes instead of no to override a democrat Governor's veto on allowing fracking in North Carolina.  HERE is the article.  Rep. Becky Carney did the supposed oops and then tried to get it tossed so she could change her vote.  Nope, not under the rules.

So the process that is making North Dakota a rich state and some others too, will be allowed in the east coast state.  I think the democrat governor was wrong as did 2/3rds of both Houses in their legislature.  Can democrats be that dumb to try and stop something that takes place thousands of feet below the water table?  Apparently so.  I bet the democrat governor Perdue loves that Solyndra type money and actual energy removal from the earth just isn't sexy enough.

So thanks to the dumbbell Carney for doing the right thing even though you really wanted to do the wrong thing.  That makes my day!

  1. You might actually be the numbskull because NC has dry gas and ND has oil that is fracked. So now the good people of NC will fight it out in court. Fracking is a dirty, dirty business.

  2. Fracking is used for more than one type of energy removal so you are the numskull. No more anonymous after this comment.

  3. LOL Anonymous. Better just stick to the usual personal attacks.
Your knowledge of oil and gas extraction are sorely lacking.
Don't bother with the "burning water" hype either. That has been
proven to have been happening LONG before "fracking" was even dreamed up.

Even the EPA has had to eat crow on the subject.

  4. Wrong again Walt. Nothing you just said is remotely true. Why don't you ask the residents and the regulators in New York, who have an indefinite moratorium on the practice? Or the thousands of people in PA who have been drastically impacted. Or the residents of Ohio, who are just now having a monumental debate and questioning the massive costs of allowing fracking and large scale drilling.

  5. I wouldn't use my name either if I was posting pure ideology and half backed, vague statements.

First off, Indians knew of springs where "fire danced on the water".
This was before oil drilling even started. I have even visited one of these springs
in my youth. YA!! Before fracking! Imagine that....It's still a tourist trap today.

Second. Learn some basic chemistry. Volatile ground gases dissolve in water. Just like in any soda can. Even ground water is under some sort of pressure, and great enough to allow for that gas to dissolve and suspend.

The Environmental Protection Agency has dropped its claim that an energy company contaminated drinking water in Texas, the third time in recent months that the agency has backtracked on high-profile local allegations linking natural-gas drilling and water pollution.

In addition to dropping the case in Texas, the EPA has agreed to substantial retesting of water in Wyoming after its methods were questioned. And in Pennsylvania, it has angered state officials by conducting its own analysis of well water—only to confirm the state’s finding that water once tainted by gas was safe.

So much for your " Nothing you just said is remotely true."
People like you are so easy to unpeel like an over ripe onion

  6. Two isolated EPA investigations? LOL. Ooh. Walt, the bigger picture is so much broader. The NY Times has done many pieces on the impacts of fracking, and the shattered communities. The last issue of Sierra magazine did a wonderful expose of the problems from fracking, all over the country. So, all the people (the conservative farmer in Ohio) who they interviewed about the impacts to their properties are lying? Don't THINK so. Of course there are right-wing governed states that don't really care about their environment or their health care systems- ie, Texas, run by the dumbest governor in America, Rick Perry. But places with a more thoughtful regulatory atmosphere get it- New York State.

  7. Just more BS with ZERO substance, NO facts.. Uh,,Uhh,," the new york times said,,,,, And an article in a ( rabid eco)Sierra mag. said,,,, Uh,uh, yaa!
they said it, so it must be so."
Do some actual reading and research like I have. You know jack squat
about this practice, but get sucked right in with the rest of the anti oil
loons. The FED EPA can't back up the claim. Period..There is your "big picture".

Now go fill your tank with pond scum, put wind mills on each bumper, and tile the roof with solar panels. ( you can get a bunch on the cheap down at the dollar store. you can ind them on the Chinese made solar powered radios you give to kids.)

BTW,, I have noticed Peruses dropping like flies along the roads recently.
maybe those "high tech" batt.s have given up the ghost.
I will stick to the proven internal combustion engine. Newer isn't necessarily better. The same can be said for the light bulb.

  9. Better get on the phone to the EPA, and tell them just how much smarter you are.
So take your web pages as evidence, and any other ground breaking proof you may have. Demand that it be taken to "O" immediately so he can sign an executive order
to have fracking ended with a stroke of his pen.

Sheila Jackson Lee is waiting to hear from you.
Do you even know who she is without google? LOL!!!
