Madonna calls Obama, the "black Muslim"

These entertainment types are just plain stupid.  I liked her songs and her pics in the Playboy magazine many years ago but her political mouthings are just too funny.  At a Washington D.C. gig, that little Madonna, the epitome of leftwing thought ranted to the audience that our President is a "black Muslim".

HERE and HERE are the articles. The Rolling Stone has the video too.

So while the liberals and democrats scream at anyone who questions Obama's self proclaimed religious beliefs and his nation of birth, their own seems to be given a pass.  Oh, Madonna they say, she is just a singer, what does she know?  Well hell, maybe she knows the truth?  Could she have the inside scoop?  Is the press hiding the truth from the American people?  Why would Madonna say the man is a Muslim?

So, let us hear from the dumbass liberals who call people "birthers" or conspiracy nuts.  Please tell us how this woman can get up on a stage in front of thousands of people and say the same thing you excoriate others for even thinking.  We know you won't say anything.  We know the lamestreams won't beat the issue to death over many weeks like they do a little gaffe by Romney.  This is too funny.

Madonna, thanks for you calling your hero Obama the first black Muslim President.  It is on tape, we all heard.  You just can't make this stuff up.

  1. I saw the video, it didn't sound like she meant it literally. She was using hyperbole throughout the entire speech. It was all trash talk. I think she was just pushing buttons. That's what she gets paid to do.

BTW Todd, check out Nate Silver's latest. Obama rising, Romney falling. Now what are ya gonna do?

    8. LOL!!! Jen is back? Just couldn't live up to your promise. " no post till after the election".
Since Lefty news is just an extension of White House these days, and "their" polls will always show Obummer ahead.
Then there is that news about "O" and Co. arm twisting Gallop because the Gallop poll didn't reflect " what they wanted it too". So even Gallop is suspect, and tainted.

Back East where coal mines and power plants are shutting down right and left, jobs are being killed off wholesale, Lefty news still tries to show Obummer "winning!". You think the friends and family, not to mention the miners themselves, will vote for the guy that took their jobs away? Keep dreaming. Lefty news back there says "O" has the union vote from "their polls". I guess they missed the story of all the coal miners voting for Mitt. ( Ya,, UNIONS!!)

Romney was booed at the Daytona 500 in February during a campaign trip ahead of Super Tuesday. PER THE NYT: The crowd initially booed Mr. Romney, who occasionally struck a discordant note, as when he approached a group of fans wearing plastic ponchos. "I like those fancy raincoats you bought," he said. "Really sprung for the big bucks." And when asked if he was a fan of the sport, he mentioned that "I have some great friends who are Nascar team owners."

  17. Todd, it's kind of funny reading some of these comments. Looks like harrassment, with nothing interesting to add to the discussion. I watched Madonna's little clip as she gulped water between inciting racism and mob mentality. Makes me wonder how long it'll be when excited idiots start burning down and destroying America like they do in other parts of the world. Years ago I remember watching sports fans in Europe rioting over a soccer game and thinking, "I'm glad we don't do that in America." Not many years some disgruntled fans started doing that after a football game. And then there were the disgruntled Democrats who tried to disrupt the Republican Convention not many years ago. Journalist Huffington complained that the police arrested her along with others for their legal, peaceful demonstration. Online news and photos showed why. The demonstrators were breaking business and car windows.

The Occupy nuts are the latest example here. I would bet a lemonade on a hot day they would stop their rioting if we adults took away their Iphones and Gameboys.

But hey, it would certainly possible to see rioting in the US if the Romney/Ryan plans ever came to full fruition, ripping apart the American safety net for the less fortunate. The are called plants who start breaking windows and things. Peace movements have teach ins on non-violence and how to deal with the police if confronted before big events. http://www.warresisters.org/node/1277 is an example of such trainings. Or it is a group of anarchists who think smashing up things is the only language people understand because the almighty dollar reins above all else in America.

The first amendment is my permit to peaceably assemble, exercise my free speech, and petition the government for a redress of my grievances. When I am marching peacefully I am within my rights and police officers do not have the authority to redirect or cage us into free speech zones, any public property is a free speech zone.

You have to understand being cuffed and hauled away rarely results in a conviction or even a charge. I have never been charged but hauled off many times. It is a form of intimidation and removes dissent from the streets during a public event. Our nation was founded on dissent and those who sit in power always crack down on those who challenge their power.

Five Questions To Ask Those Who Sit in Powerful Positions

      1)What power have you got?
2)Where did you get it from?
3)In whose interests do you use it?
      4)To whom are you accountable?
5)How do we get rid of you?

If the answer is anything outside representing the citizens or the people it is the wrong answer if we want any form of democracy.

That those with the most power are those who are not accountable to the people such as the Koch Bros, Soros, international banking institutions, transnational corporations, and WTO. None of those people/ organizations are voted into public office so the public has no authority to hold them accountable except through our government. The problem is our government has been bought off and controlled for the most part by those same entities, therefore don't hold their masters accountable. Hence the bailouts of the banks while those who have lost their homes through unjust foreclosures. The subprime loans didn't cause the financial melt down it was the derivatives those mortgages were slice up and inserted into that caused the collapse.

While at OWS protest where people are questioning the powers that be have their rights totally violated and are the targets for police harassment and brutality?

An perfect example of the abuse, which has been tried in a court of law and the police/ university lost. A small price to pay to tamp down democracy, $1 million settlement. The message was sent and we haven't seen those types of legal protests at Davis since. It is intimidation plain and simple but you side with the powers that be so you see this use of force as OK.

Ben and Jen...The facts are that for most of my life I remember "liberal," and I use the word loosely, have stated that the U.S. Constitution (Bill of Rights) is worthless, but noted that they always use it to help themselves in and out of trouble. While researching the 2008 RNC demonstration ln the net I can't help wonder why it's always the Democrat left trying to silence the Republicans. Especially since our Congress has had a Democrat majority for most of my lifetime. Pretty obvious to anyone who pays attention. Todays Sac Bee reminds me of It reminds me of Sir Walter Scott's "Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive." Attack on consulate in Libya now called 'deliberate and organized.' http://www.sacbee.com/2012/09/29/4864834/attack-on-consulate-in-libya-now.html#storylink=cpy "In their initial accounts, Rice and other senior administration officials insisted there was no indication the attack was 'pre-planned.' It grew, they said, from a spontaneous protest outside the consulate that was inspired by the violent demonstration outside the U.S. Embassy in Cairo against a video denigrating the Prophet Muhammad, the founder of Islam." The video, alleged to have triggered a rash of violent anti-American protests, was made in the United States. However, then "President Mohammad Magarief, the head of the Libyan National Congress said the assault was organized and planned by foreigners, some with links to al-Qaida, involved members of a local Islamist militant group, and was deliberately timed for the anniversary of 9/11."

Do you suppose that those who eagerly destroy and shed blood make an excuse for installing a police state to keep the peace? I noticed that the first Wall Street demonstrators couldn't answer why they were there...merely following others. Then they were upset because their leaders were getting , but not sharing money to demonstate, by keeping it "safe in the bank." A blankety-blank bank mind you! Reminded me of the Watts riot, and aftermath when the rioters were dismayed that they'd burned down the place where they cashed their welfare checks. After reading this don't forget that when it comes to human nature "laughter is great medicine!"

I like dissent, protest and fighting for civil rights and against corrupt institutions of power. Its quite American to fight the good fight.

    1. Jen do you suppose those banks nearly destroyed the world economy all by themselves? Criminal acts? Who do you suppose had the power to do something entirely different than what was done? Who is in charge of what happens in this country? The leaders and the people who put them in charge! In America it is the Congress majority who pretty much are in charge of spending and borrowing. Who is responsible for our personal debt and not being able to repay our debt to all those who invested their savings in the banks? Personal choices. However, I think there was a political decision to allow people who couldn't afford new homes to borrow from the banks for new homes etc. Didn't I hear Barney Frank (and party)say there was nothing wrong with the banking system when others wanted it more regulated to protect banks and people's savings? Jen, have you ever noticed how many elected Congressional members were paupers when they started, and wound up milionairs? Super Ponzi schemes...that leave our local ones in the dust. Jen, when you talk about greed and it being American to fight the good fight... pay attention to what advocates do, not what they say. We're being fed racism, class envy and hatred just like those governments we considered bad, and went into endless wars against...beginning with the Federal Reserve Act and WWI that proved the Federal Reserve was a great tool to finance wars...and a global government of debt.

    2. The majority of the people in this country understand that Wall Street and the giant banks were the major culprit of our near great depression. Thats the bottom line. Not your capitalism-can-do-no wrong opinion. Romney and his uber-wealthy,unapologistic Wall Street persona is the absolute WORST type of candidate the Repubs could run in 2012. And thats why they are tanking in the polls, day by day, tracking ltower and lower. The Senate is gone for the GOP, the House is now in play. And Obama is building a bigger lead, day after day. Capitalism and business above human beings is being utterly rejected by the majority of our nation. People over Corporations is what is winning in 2012!

  26. Bonnie,
You truly need to branch away from FOX and right wing radio to shape your opinions. Protests have nothing to do with silencing a particular group but rather bringing a voice to an issue that has been silenced. Prior to the OWS protests the entire conversation was on austerity and balanced budgets. After the OWS the discussion turned to who has benefited most while the rest of us struggle? Big money has plenty of representation in our government but the average person has very little. Those in the OWS had a hard time articulating their cause because their cause is so gigantic and complex it is not understood by a vast majority of people in the US. Much like the Tea Party rallies and those who are in or running for public office as a TP candidate talking about things in the US Constitution that do not exist or were the Declaration of Independence. The most famous one was Keep Your Government Hands Off My Medicare, which is a government senior health care program.

Now to the democratic party majority most of your lifetime until the last 30 years or so, what has happened to our economy and government in that 30 to 40 years? When the Reagan Revolution (Conservative Revolution) happened in our government we have seen regulations expand (#1 promoter of regulations is big business), size and scope of federal government explode, incentives to move jobs out of the US, and our civil liberties get stripped.

Here is a graph with GDP/ National Debt from 1940 - 2005. If the graph went through to 2012 it would be almost a 90' angle.

The Tea Party supports the laws of our Constitution and Bill of Rights...the very laws everybody runs to when you think you're being abused. People who have never read the Bible hate Christians because there are a few hypocrites who give God a bad name. Go to the source! Because human nature is hypocritical. As for history...it does repeat. Different window dressings, but there's nothing new under the sun. Historians have often compared the U.S. to the Roman Republic (empire government). In the first century B.C., Cicero warned: "The budget should be balanced, public debt should be reduced and the treasury should be rebuilt . . . lest Rome fall." A century later the fiddling while Rome burns Emperor Nero declared, "Let us tax and tax again ... and see to it that no one retains wealth." Within two generations many Roman cities became insolvent, prompting Emperor Hadrian to adopt bailouts through centralized revenue sharing. Eventually, excessive spending and soaring debt forced Rome to inflate the national currency by replacing silver in coinage with base metals. And don't forget that Rome had it's army everywhere to establish it's global empire. Pretty expensive. During the latter years Claudius was elected tribune by bribing the electorate with free grain at taxpayers expense. The collapse of Rome was from within when the citizens voted themselves benefits without working. La dee da....

For the record I have been an advocate for constitutional rights and activist for over 20 years. Let me ask you since we are talking about the Bill of Rights, do you support the American Civil Liberties Union? http://www.aclu.org/key-issues

I have studied the US Constitution (USC), the framers and the origins of the ideas behind USC, and struggles to write the document along with it being ratified. I have read the Federalist Papers and Notes of Debates in the Federal Convention of 1787 by James Madison. I go to the sources and have done so my entire adult life.

    2. So let us all get this straight BenE. You are for the Constitution but oppose the Tea Party which is for the Constitution.

      Delete
    3. Todd,
The Tea Party are told they are for the Constitution but a vast majority of those people in the streets with the TP have never read the Constitution or the history of the document. They are told by the billionaire astro turf version of what the Constitution stands for and then go out and repeat the talking points. Lower taxes for the wealthy will create jobs, no regulations on big business, free trade agreements that only benefit transnational corporations, ect... All of these policies help the very few at the top and screw the rest of us.

Ask TP in the streets to name the three branches of government, can't do it. Ask them who elects the President, they can't do it. Ask them are taxes unconstitutional and they will say yes. Ask them to differentiate between the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution and they will not be able. Ask them how free trade vs selective import tariffs work, they will give you a blank look. Ask them if they know what year women were able to vote in a federal election legally and they will not be able to do so. Not because they are stupid but because they have been inactive in our democratic policies for so long they do now understand how it works.

I say it all the time, I like the fact the TP are organizing and being active in our government. I disagree with their ideas and solutions.

    5. Todd,
In 2010 when the Tea Party was hotter than a two-dollar pistol I traveled our congressional district and talked with Tea Party members everywhere we went. My opinion is right on the money because it is based on direct conversations. My favorite was people claiming the bible is directly mentioned in the Constitution and that Jefferson put it in because he wrote it.

I informed them that believing Jefferson wrote the US Constitution is a common mistake. He was one of many who contributed but it was James Madison who was in charge writing and shaping the US Constitution. I then proceed to tell them the story about the engraved quote on Jefferson memorial from his letter to Benjamin Rush-

"for I have sworn upon the altar of god, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man."

Many would say that it proves that he was Christian. Jefferson was Deist. Here is the context of that letter
      Thomas Jefferson to Benjamin Rush
      Monticello, September 23, 1800

      Excerpt on Christianity
"I promised you a letter on Christianity, which I have not
forgotten. On the contrary, it is because I have reflected on it,
that I find much more time necessary for it than I can at present
dispose of. I have a view of the subject which ought to displease
neither the rational Christian nor Deists, and would reconcile many
to a character they have too hastily rejected. I do not know that it
would reconcile the _genus irritabile vatum_ who are all in arms
against me. Their hostility is on too interesting ground to be
softened. The delusion into which the X. Y. Z. plot shewed it
possible to push the people; the successful experiment made under the
prevalence of that delusion on the clause of the constitution, which,
while it secured the freedom of the press, covered also the freedom
of religion, had given to the clergy a very favorite hope of
obtaining an establishment of a particular form of Christianity thro'
the U. S.; and as every sect believes its own form the true one,
every one perhaps hoped for his own, but especially the Episcopalians
& Congregationalists. The returning good sense of our country
threatens abortion to their hopes, & they believe that any portion of
power confided to me, will be exerted in opposition to their schemes.
And they believe rightly; for I have sworn upon the altar of god,
eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man.
But this is all they have to fear from me: & enough too in their
opinion, & this is the cause of their printing lying pamphlets
against me, forging conversations for me with Mazzei, Bishop Madison,
&c., which are absolute falsehoods without a circumstance of truth to
rest on; falsehoods, too, of which I acquit Mazzei & Bishop Madison,
for they are men of truth."

That is good to hear. All corporate media is propaganda and FOX is the worst of the bunch.

On the Rush issue, The Rush Limbaugh Show runs on the public airwaves because we allow him the privilege to do so. When he spews misogynistic lies and misinforms the public he deserves to get his public privilege to use our airwaves pulled. He can have his opinions all he wants and if he wants to go to the corner and spread his lies he is more than welcome to do so. This is where the propaganda of it is attacking his first amendment rights is bs, nobody says he can't say those things he shouldn't be able to do so over public airwaves on a daily basis where the public good is part of the contract. As you can hear, the plea to KNCO to remove him off the air didn't work, he is still there spewing his lies with bigotry, misogyny, and corporatist views.

Do you realize the Bill of Rights is a liberal idea that was aggressively opposed by the conservatives (federalists) of the day? Limiting power of the people from those who sit in positions of power, that was crazy talk. Jefferson, Madison, Paine, and Franklin were all adamant about there must be a Bill of Rights.

I know plenty of Tea Party members and have had long discussions with them about the Constitution and the founding of our country. Unfortunately much like George Rebane they have been led to believe that there was no debate on the Constitution and that it is a libertarian document. Neither are true, the US Constitution for its time period was the most radical progressive official document every ratified. There were huge debates and concessions made both both ideologies. The global view of the US Constitution and the new republic were it would last 50 years. The Civil War almost made it break up within 75 years but the Union prevailed.

Limiting the powers over the citizens from those who sit in positions of power, that was crazy talk. We have a Limited Constitutional Democratic Republic form of government. Well we are supposed to have it but increasingly we are creating an oligarchy that shreds our constitutional rights.

One of the major reasons Rome fell was due to the fact they depleted their main energy source (wood)to where they had to expand the empire. Once military empire is the key to sustaining power resources are progressively taken from the citizens to fund the military. The further they get away from home the more expensive it becomes. It is a house of cards. The US over the last 80 years has become a military empire securing strategic resources by coups and covertly backing US friendly revolutions in the guise of democracy. Today we have roughly 900 military bases in 140 different nations and the US spends 51% of the entire worlds defense spending at over a trillion annually. US defense spending has tripled since 1997 and Obama signed into law the largest defense budget in history.

    1. I can hardly control a chuckle. Notice all those expensive political election ads using the poor, the elderly, the children, and the sick to get votes. Historian Alexander Tyler wrote, "A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policly, which is always followed by a dictatorship....The average age of the worlds greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 300 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence: From spiritual faith to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to complacency, from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependence, and from dependence back into bondage."

So politicians make sure they get re-elected by appealing to the the voters so that they stay in power and in charge to wheel and deal at the top of the compost pile.

  39. Ben,
Don't know if you saw it..the most single bizarre statement I've ever read on here- yesterday afternoon Todd accused me above of "insulting institutions we like" and therefore I was fair game for personal attack.
Those poor institutions - with no one to defend them butt poor old Todd and Bonnie- my heart breaks in two..) Corporations are people, my friend...

The election cannot some soon enough! Our long national Romney nightmare will soon be over. With a strong progressive showing, I think Obama will be much more focused on issues we care about in term II.

Try and support what makes our country great sometimes an top trying to destroy it. Then maybe you will be viewed as more than the lefty extremists you are. I appreciate yu two ad sacks posting here though so Americans of good will can see what the left is all about.

    2. Corrupt "free enterprise", and corrupt religion. Yes, speaking for myself, I am very, very happy to trash.

Hey, did you see the multiple investigations and charges today against Bear Stearn/Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan? FINALLY, the Feds and state prosecutors in NY are moving on the crimes and frauds committed! Better late than never. :)

    3. I too suupport the prosecution of them if they are crooks. What is interesting here though is they were left alone until they decided to bail on Obama and go over the the other side.

In those like Todd's world Goldman Sachs is person with feelings. Sure Goldman Sachs has been in every banking crisis since its inception 100 plus years ago but hey, I know plenty of people who have no mouths, hearts, age limits, can't be incarcerated, can have multiple legal partners, can own other people just like them, unlimited international citizenships, and the whole time get the costs of doing business as a tax write off. I hope you are correct about an Obama second term because I cannot tell you how disappointed with his first term I am.

  41. Ben, I really believe that. And to me, the most exciting proclamation of the last several months was when Pelosi announced it would ALL-IN on legislation to restrict unlimited money donations, to effectively blunt Citizens United IF Dems regain the House (small but improving chance), and hold the Senate (that will happen). Between that and an expedited withdrawal from Afghanistan, closing GITMO, and putting people first for once...I really believe there is HOPE again. :)

  42. I will keep my fingers crossed at the same time will be pushing Obama and the Democratic majorities to return to the party of the people and leave the third way behind. The Republican Party has been in bed with big business since the 1880's and are a lost cause but hopefully the Libertarian party can get some traction on the war machine, banking, and stripping of our civil liberties.

  43. Todd, I first posted here because of the horrendous distortion of fact you spread. The name calling is your specialty. BTW, you think you're the only one who knows people who lived under the Soviet system.
My disabilities our service-connected, coming from my time in Nam. But you call me a wimp. Your ignorance is dangerous; you'd be in the S.A if born in Germany during the 30's; a coward who only roams in packs, no brains, a Jew hater. And Mr. Stupid who never understands subtlety,, nuance or irony, one need not be Catholic to have an Inquisition mentality.

It is totally pointless talking to morons like you. You think your tough, but you are a nothing. Not worth my energy as I had young students who knew much more than you. You were invited to come to my house a long time ago, to debate. Instead, you insult safe at home. With wimps like you we never would have made this country. I'm not 6'4" but I'd run you into the ground, because you don't have what it takes to be man, much less a combat Marine. I'd have you crying in a very short time.

Like the lady said in The Heat of the Night,--paraphrasing-- "I will now leave you and your fascists friends to yourselves", because you are truly an ignorant person. But her meaning probably escapes your limited intellect.

And I bet you don't even know who Umberto Eco is. You should read The Name of the Rose, it might help you to justify using the air you breath.

So, continue to make fun of the wounded returning from the wars, that is what your kind of Christianity is all about. American Taliban.

You're no dragon, just a slimy little tadpole, with mental comprehension on a Dick and Jane level.

  45. Here is piece from the best US Senator, Bernie Sanders.

"Yes. We must address the very serious problem of a $16 trillion national debt and a $1 trillion federal deficit.

But at this pivotal moment in American history, it’s essential that we understand how we got into this deficit crisis in the first place and who was responsible for it. More important, we must address the deficit in a way that is fair and does not balance the budget on the backs of the elderly, the children, the sick and the poor — people who are already hurting."

    2. Todd,
You can call what ever you want but it means little. You claim many things as communism but have no understanding what that actually means. Since you refuse to give your definition of Communism I will start it off for you.

There is no such thing as private property, the state owns everything. Now take your limited critical thinking skills and start from there what Communism means.

    3. BenE, you have a limited education about real life and our country. Bernie Sanders is your hero as are his policies and opinions. Berni Sanders is a self proclaimed socialist. Do the math. So when you smarten up, we can have a debate, until then, leep learning.

One thing I have learnes about your ilk in my life is you cannot be trusted to drive the car.

  46. Yes Ben, Bernie is right on. And educated people--university trained, curious, open minded, perceptive thinkers who can also navigate the hard knocks and rough and tumble of the moment, the kind that dared travel here and still dare to seek new knowledge and adventure. Others, like in the 13th century, never traveled far from home, learned nothing innovative; just worshiped imaginary idols, contributing nothing but intolerance.

  48. Right On Jen. Over at George Rebanes as usual they are going on about a non issue to try and steer away from the fact Warren is an amazing candidate and would much better represent MA than Brown. The extreme right like to throw around that Sanders is a self proclaimed Democratic Socialist but usually leave off the Democratic part, which they have little understanding of what it means. I think in the last decade the top 10 happiest places to live on the planet have been dominated by what would be considered Democratic "Socialist" Nations on our local hard right blogs. What do 9/10 have in common, National Health Care System and the 1 that doesn't has made for profit health insurance illegal.

    2) Norway

  49. I find Todd's irrational fear of "commies" quite striking. Sounds like we live in a time of Soviet bases in Cuba or something. Clearly a massive generational factor at work here that many paranoid right wingers cannot process. Anyone under age 45 or so understands these type of terms are insanely silly, irrational and reactionary. Our world has a multitude of problems, but a group of these shadowy "commies" running for US office isn't one of them. Maybe I'll be a "commie" for Halloween and go trick-or-treating...oooh...LOL! Sounds fun.

  50. Jen,
That is what I am talking about with Todd's absolute ignorance of Communism. Does that mean you are going to dress up like Nixon by Todd's standards. He started the agency that turned into Dept of Energy, EPA, Clean Air Act, spent more on social programs than defense, 74% top marginal tax rate, 25% unionized workforce, selective import tariffs, and was the first to propose Obamacare to the nation.

  51. Cool, do they still sell Tricky Dick masks like they did when I was a kid? :) Scarier yet would be a Paul Ryan or Mitt Romney outfit. THAT is scary!

Best opening statement Obama can make tomorrow night is to take a few minutes to thank Mitt Romney in his term as MA governor, the Republican Party as a whole, plus the conservative think tanks and such, that either proposed or implemented the vital and key elements of Obamacare- over a decade before the President finally got something passed in the Congress! He should be gracious and give credit where it is due- a national healthcare system through the private sector! Not exactly what I wanted to see, but something which appears almost exactly like the Republican model of the late 90s/early 2000s.

  52. Hey Todd, what exactly is your view of the "real world" Commie threat? Come on, spit it out for Ben and me. We're always open to learning new things. Don't be shy...are the Commies allied with and funding Al Qaeda cells in North Korea and Islamic Iran? Who is the leader of these Commies? Do we need more aircraft carriers built to counter the tremendous Commie threat? Is Sean Penn involved- maybe Alec Baldwin- in funding these terrorist alliances? ...lol...its fun with the paranoid time :)

  53. Jen,
What a surprise Todd redirects it back at you. Todd I gave you a big chunk already, lets see your three paragraphs. Aren't you a property rights advocate? Todd I am helping you out here big guy. A quote from the Communist Manifesto that outlines the absolute take over of property of the Capitalist or Bourgeoisie, those who make money with money or exploitation of other peoples labor. I don't know a single person who identifies as left in the US that believes these ideals. I know you believe that a tax on wealth/ property/ exploitation is equivalent to Communism but it doesn't even register on the radar screen of being the same. This is why your statements are so ignorant and off base.

Before your normal adolescent retort here is the definition of absolute

Absolute- Not qualified or diminished in any way; total: "absolute secrecy".

"The distinguishing feature of Communism is not the abolition of property generally, but the abolition of bourgeois property. But modern bourgeois private property is the final and most complete expression of the system of producing and appropriating products, that is based on class antagonisms, on the exploitation of the many by the few.

In this sense, the theory of the Communists may be summed up in the single sentence: Abolition of private property."
