Here we go again. A terrorist jihadist organization has taken credit for this heinous act in a peaceful, quiet Scandinavian country. There was also a gunman dressed as a cop who some reports say, murdered 20-25 children on a summer camp in Oslo fiord. HERE is the New York Times story. HERE is the story on the youth camp.
If all of this ois true about the jihadists, I would like to see our local leftwingnut Islamic fans give us their take on this. What peaceful religion?
OSLO, Norway (AP) — A homegrown terrorist set off an explosion that ripped open buildings in the heart of Norway's government Friday, then went to a summer camp dressed as a police officer and gunned down youths as they ran and even swam for their lives, police said Friday.
ReplyDeleteThe attacks killed at least 16 people in this peaceful nation's worst violence since World War II.
A police official said the 32-year-old ethnic Norwegian suspect arrested at the camp on Utoya island appears to have acted alone in both attacks, and that "it seems like that this is not linked to any international terrorist organizations at all." The official spoke on condition of anonymity because that information had not been officially released by Norway's police.
"It seems it's not Islamic-terror related," the official said. "This seems like a madman's work."
The official said the attack "is probably more Norway's Oklahoma City than it is Norway's World Trade Center." Domestic terrorists carried out the 1995 attack on a federal building in Oklahoma City, while foreign terrorists were responsible for the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.
I have read the latest reports and it is still not clear. There is a jihadist group taking credit fo the bomb. There is now 80 plus young people murdered and it is simply terrible to comprehend this.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't a "terrorist jihadist"... it was a "terrorist fundamentalist Christian" from the right.
ReplyDeleteI revised Todd's closing rant above to correctly reflect the facts that are now coming out:
ReplyDeleteIf all of this is true about the fundamentalist Christian terrorist from the right, I would like to see our local rightwingnut Christian fans give us their take on this. What peaceful religion?
The latest is a neo=nazi connection. No Christian I know uses his Christian religion for nazism.
ReplyDeleteThe latest information is he's a fundamentalist Christian terrorist from the right and might have some past interest in the neo-nazi, white power movement.
ReplyDeleteNo Muslim I know uses his Islamic religion for terrorism.
You are so predictable. No Christian would do this an you know it. You are simply trying to make hay to protect your Islamic beliefs.
ReplyDelete"No Christian would do this"?... one self proclaimed Christian just did.
ReplyDeletePS: I'm not a Muslim nor do I practice Islam.
So here's some more info on the Oslo bomber/shooter:
ReplyDeleteNorwegian news agency NTB said the suspect wrote a 1,500-page manifesto before the attack in which he attacked multiculturalism and Muslim immigration.
Looks like Todd was 180 degrees off on his original rant.
A 1,500-page manifesto written by the suspect in Friday's bloody terror attacks in Norway lays out right-wing extremist views and vows that a "European civil war" will lead to the execution of "cultural Marxists" and the banishing of Muslims.
ReplyDeleteYeah the guy is quite a nut.
ReplyDeleteTodd! A Nut? Come on man, he is a typical everyday Christian. At some point all us Christians will be forced to confess that we want to exterminate all infidels.
ReplyDeleteThat is what the lefty atheists are trying to do. So predictable aren't they?
ReplyDeleteLast night a reporter on TV (13)commented that the terrorist was angry with the gov labor unions (although he was a former member) and that the youths he fired on were also union members. That's all I know and wonder if anyone else heard this coverage. What's going on with this reporting appears to be psychological warfare designed to confuse and stir people up...
ReplyDeleteThere is a Wall Street Journal article which says the same thing.
ReplyDeleteNo Bonnie May, it was not a union camp and he didn't shoot kids that were union members.
ReplyDeleteThe kids shot and killed at the camp were attending a political summer camp, many were children of members of the governing Labor Party.
