Why are liberals so mean and nasty? Shortcomings?

If we listened to what liberals say about themselves you would think they are all the second coming of Jesus.  But what we all have come to understand about the liberal is quite the opposite.  Whether it is individual liberals, groups of them and for the most part, the American Media and Academia, they are the opposite in actions as they say their words mean.

University life in America was once a place of openness and students were able to gain an education balanced by the educators.  Then, somehow the system became infected with a 90% plus liberal professorial makeup and all has changed.  All PC, no fairness and all propaganda all the time of liberal ideas and actions. (they even burned college conservative newspapers)  Is it any wonder our higher education institutions have become second best? (basket weaving 101!)  And, these liberals in charge of the eduction process control everything and you cannot rid the system of them because of tenure.  Same at lower levels as well. (Ann Coulter was shouted down in a college by these liberal fanatics)

Then we have the media.  Once it was a bastion of fairness and one could read articles that had no bias against anyone.  Then it changed and became populated by  left-wing activists who hate anything other than a liberal democrat.  Of course these so-called journalists were trained in a liberal arts college by liberal activist professors who would flunk them if they didn't espouse the liberal mantra of life.  God, we pay these professors big money and most teach a couple of classes a week (using helpers the balance of the week) and does anyone think the cost f college is a bargain?

The mainstream media is a disgrace.  They have taken the track of favoritism to the left and the country is actually center0right.  When FOX News started on cable it became an instant hit because for once center-right listeners/viewers got to hear things they actually agreed with.  Same for talk radio.  Rush Limbaugh allowed us to hear the other side the lamestreams would not allow us to hear (I experienced this with local radio KNCO and KVMR).  Newspapers as well were liberal bastions.  Any conservative/republican statement (if even published) were always below the fold and/or on the back page continuation.  Any liberal views were above the fold and in the first paragraphs.  I got to experience that many times in   our local newspaper.

Then we have liberals who claim to be unbiased people of the "middle".  What a crock.  They are all over the Internet, the blogs and some publications.  One thing I noticed many years ago is this.  When there is an issue these "MOTR" (middle of the road) people always trash the Republicans, or recently the Tea Party, while never doing the same to the liberals or the democrats.  Yet they claim no allegiance to either.  Sorry, you MOTR people are just plain liars.  The strategy is always lefty by them and we know it.  When anyone points these things out, they go ballistic and start their personal attacks and namecalling vitriol.

I used to listen to these people and tried to engage them in a decent conversation but I soon learned they had no interest in that.  So, these people attack and in the old days, (even today in many cases), the right tries to be nice and understanding.  Oh, golly maybe these liberals are right, we need to go to counseling and find out what is wrong with us.  That was sarcasm.  Just watch the over the top attacks the House and Senate Liberals make on conservatives and the Tea Party.  They use very inflammatory language but the Republicans still try to play nice.

Locally I have gotten into many discussions on blogs, in public hearings and in conversations on the street.  Liberals even at this level are as nasty as they are at the highest levels.  They cry and whine about everything conservative and there is never any introspection of their own philosophy.  They never question themselves, or give any ground on their positions or opinions.  We are always supposed to come to them and then that is called a compromise.  They never come to our position or even make an attempt to move towards us.  Even though the facts show we are correct.  So, they argue.  Soon they realize they are wrong because the argument goes personal and they attack your parentage, whether you served in the military, and how many girlfriends or wives you have.  They think those tactics will shut us up.

It does work in some cases (mainly in DC), but for me, I take these bastards on to the end.  Then at the end they cry like little kids and take their football home.  They leave to go lick their wounds that people like me cause them.  Ideology wounds.  But still, after I and others defeat these liberals in the truth and facts, they still refuse to change their opinions.  They would rather make fools of themselves by disregarding the truth rather than admitting they were defeated by a GASP, conservative.  I really have come to enjoy these debates/arguments because I just can't let these people wreck our country any longer with their lying ways.  I must, I am compelled to straighten out the record of truth, justice and the American way.

    2. You won't be very happy at the conclusion of the Boehner meltdown and fallout...:).
WSJ/NBC Poll and the panic that it set off in the right wing is all you need to know! The Tea Baggers jumped the shark and there is no recovering.

  2. A very good day for America and Nevada County. First, Pascale is free and back home, and the Republican House is in open revolt against each other. We will soon see the end of the Republican Party, and the Tea Party, as we know it. There is no doubt that Wall Street and big money donors with billions of potential losses at stake will force a simple bill to reopen and raise the debt limit. Boehner will be preparing his retirement party after taking a really stupid gamble he could not win, just to save face. He lost. And thats a very good thing for America.

    2. So Conrad, why did you pick a black man's name to post here?

Regarding this DC stuff. I am amazed that you liberals are just a bunch of status quo people. I thought you were all fed up with that, but it appears you were all fibbing. At least the Tea Party has tried to change DC to force it to balance the budget and stop deficit spending. But you two just want business as usual, piling on the trillions to our kids, and grandkids. Phony outrage is what you have and now no credibility in this argument.

  3. Today, the House will pass the Senate bill to reopen the US government and raise the debt limit. Then ALL American legislators will figure out the best way to approach the budget, through revenues, investments in this nation, and selected cuts as appropriate. The Tea Party way or the highway was a humiliating failure.
An utter embarrassment and disaster for the Republican Party, who will never win another national election in the foreseeable future after that clown show. Tail between legs John Boehner, Eric Cantor, Ted Cruz. Humiliation, failure. Well deserved.

    1. Maybe what you say may happen, anything is possible but doesn't that make you mad? DC status quo, nothing will really happen, smoke and mirrors. The Tea Party at least forced a lot of the behind the curtain stuff out into the open for discussion. Lastly, they are there 24/7 for two year terms. Why is it all this happens right at the end? If they were serious in DC about what you are cooing about, why not do these things in a timely fashion. Laws and the like are never good when shoved through at the last minute. California legislators have taught the DC ones how to do this.

    2. Wonders never cease. We both seem to agree with the premise that laws are never good when shoved through at the last minute. Obamacare could have been much improved if health care experts could have educated the public and the Congress on why it was important and how best to implement. Many of us would have much preferred a simple expansion of Medicare for example. The insane antics of the Tea Party could have been avoided, saving everyone a lot of time, effort, and money, and our economy would have been miles ahead right now with a decent jobs bill in place, and no shutdown to derail economic growth. Interest rates would be much lower right now without all the anxiety in the market, and would have really helped the construction and RE industry, helping jobs as you well know.

    3. ObamaCare is about insurance mandates, not health care. The democrats shoved it down the throats of America without one R vote and they had to commit bribery to get the last two or three democrats to vote for it. So its beginnings were fraudulent. Also, the democrats would not allow one amendment from a Republican so the law was strictly a one party partisan law. Out of that democrat corruption flowed the Tea Party. They are nor radical at all. They are the responsible people in this process. Though I am not a TP member, their three tenets of governance should be a no brainier for all except those that want more debt, more government and more interferences in our personal lives. ObamaCare allows, mandates through fear of penalty, the governments access to your body. For a party of progressives and the "right to choose" you must see the folly. I am unable to accept the government owning my body so we will be in conflict until the law is repealed.

Regarding interest rates. They are still at historic lows since Bernanke pumps 85 billion a month into the system to keep them low. The reason the housing and real estate are slow is the regulations, the Dodd Frank Laws and the overhaul of the banking business. So rather than lend for real estate, the banks buy the 85 billion and use it to trade with each other. So you get the status quo and America is going in the crapper on jobs and the economy.

    4. The American economy, which Repubs rave about starting in the Reagan years, was 100% about using debt as the lever for prosperity. The boom cycles, whether in technology or real estate, were built upon debt- private AND public spending- and made Republicans rich, leaving scraps for the poor. Now all of a sudden the Repubs who made their fortunes want the government to suddenly go to austerity- scrap entitlements and benefits for less fortunate Americans who didn't benefit from the last 30 years debt spree? Not quite. Gotta find a balance between new revenues, spending cuts on waste, and continuing targeted investment in infrastrure and industries of the future, which equals JOBS. Not trickle down this time, but a bottom up approach.

      Delete
    5. We share some of what you said but there are many holes in the rest of your theories. Boom cycles are a part of real life. When there are good times, all the boats rise, then when the markets are saturated, the boats sink. That is real life. The problem with the down cycles longevity this time is the government tried and did get in the mix. This skewers everything. When they took over the car companies and crapped on the bondholders, I would think you were real happy since the bond holders are the "rich" (of course we know middle America buys a lot of bonds though) and the government then took that theft along with taxpayers money and gave it to the unions and their pension funds. Yep, that is called the you know what flows downhill. The poorest American as the record shows have a car, a microwave, two or three TV's, food stamps, welfare, Section * housing and child care. This is just a few things. I would suggest your trickle down worked. The money from the 50% of Americans who pay Federal income taxes was redistributed to your favorite income groups. So what is your problem with that? You won.

Regarding jobs. As a free enterprise man, I dealt in the real jobs world. Over the years I hired 100's and put millions through the economy. Every year the politicians and the bureaucrats passed more and more laws and regulations and I finall had enough. The cost of a single family home has become so great you will never see a "bubble" here again. You pals in the government have priced your favored groups right out of the market.

The solution is of course is less government and regulations and freeing up the people to innovate and not be robbed of their private property (money) needs to stop.

    6. As all national polls and national elections indicate, the American people don't buy your trickle-down, Tea Party theories, all based in personal greed and all based on fantasy land. The 2012 election and this latest fiasco shows the public rejecting the extreme Tea People "theories". The wealth and income gap is greater than anytime in modern history, and clearly due to the Reagan/Bush/Bush bubble years. All based in debt, all based on wall street leverage. Blame Republicans, blame the Laffer Curve blame personal greed.

      Delete
    7. You are exactly wrong. The reason there is any disparity now is based on the issue of taxes and jobs. At this moment there are the most Americans ever who are out of the work force. This leads to issues of personal finance if you are not even trying t work. The number of jobs that are full time for the middle class have shrunken dramatically under Obama. So, look arond it is OK, no Tea Party person will bite your leg. Besides, these Tea Party members are mostly seasoned citizens, retired military. You just need to be respectful.

    10. The elderly and American veterans command respect just on that basis. They are entitled to wear as many dirty red t-shirts as they want and join whatever groups they supposedly think are going to help them. But when they actively disrespect the will of the electorate in national election after national election, exhibit racist behavior toward our President, and intentionally support the damage to our economy, the respect ends. My father, an elderly veteran, understands the lunacy of the Tea Party and their intentional damage they inflicted, just to make a point and wave their flag.

Do you realize America saved about 170 billion dollars in the 17 days? Sure we had to spend a couple of billion so a net net is good for the country.

  7. December 20th. Oh what a difference a month makes, eh? Obamacare's a disaster, young people want him impeached, he earned 3 of 10 Pinocchio awards, on and on it goes! So quickly the tide turned. The Republicans who stood strong, were right! Obamacare should at LEAST have been delayed for a year! Or should I call it the (un)affordable care act since all of a sudden calling it Obamacare is racist! Oh how fun it is to watch the left spinning in the wind! So much hot air let out of their balloons!
