Farewell from a American Citizen

My sis sent me this in an email today.  It is from a friend of hers who was originally a Swiss citizen and who became an American back in the 90's.  He is headed to Australia.  He is saying what many people in America have been saying and I thought it would enlighten a few people into why America is in decline, economically and culturally.  This fellow knows what communism and socialism are.  He is seeking freedom.  Good luck! Oh, I have copy/pasted and do no editing.

Goodbye to all my friends in Southern California

The first time I moved to San Diego in 1992 it felt like home right from the start. The ever present sunshine and outdoor activities were just what I was looking for coming from the frozen North, Banff Alberta, Canada. Due to different circumstances I returned there in 1994 only to move permanently to Southern California in 1996 this time to Oceanside.

In 1999 I became a flight instructor and never had to stay on the ground again for more than maybe a few days at the time. No question flying is my passion, there is nothing else that comes even remotely close to floating over Mountain tops, Lakes, Rivers, Beaches, and yes jammed up Freeways. Having flown in the Canadian Rockies, over most of the 48 continuous US states, as well as regular trips to Mexico, it all had been most memorable experiences in my life.

My American dream was not to become rich and famous, I only wanted to make a living doing what in my eyes is the greatest invention since the dawn of mankind FLYING AIRPLANES - and I succeeded.

To say goodbye to the country that turned my dream into reality, to the friendships that developed over the years, the outdoor activities in most perfect weather year round the list goes on is sad and a difficult thing to do, say the least.

With disbelieve and great concern I watched an exceptional Nation spiral downward, yes it had been a long time coming. But the events of the last four years of “hope and change” were astonishing to me. Massive Government expansion and intervention in to private industry. Over-regulation of businesses to the point of unaffordability and fast eroding personal freedom. The ever mounting debt and devaluation of our currency it must leave every clear thinking person in dissolution.

Then came the November reelection of President ”Barry Soetoro or is B.H.Obama”, ( who is exactly is he)? In shock for several days I realized that “moving forward” would be more than I can handle. Growing up in a free country, but the threat of Communism always at the doorsteps through all my childhood makes me still very nervous today. Vaguely I remember the building of the Berlin wall, though I was too young to know what it meant, but from the anxious discussions the adults had I knew it was something very bad especially when every few days or weeks you would hear of somebody being killed at the wall who attempted to escape the oppressive East Germany tyranny. In 196 the “Prague Spring” when the Soviet army crashed the freedom movement in then Czechoslovakia had been more real to me. At our schools we had to practice several times orderly conduct and proper behavior in the school’s underground bunker. Looking back on that now, Czechoslovakia was a long way from Switzerland, but it sure freaked everybody out. Only then I learnt about the previous Hungarian Revolution in 1956, where thousands of young man fighting for democracy also had been slaughtered by the crushing Soviet army. So many horrific stories were told by people who found refuge in Switzerland during the Soviet occupation of Central and Eastern Europe and were able to flee their oppressive governments’ of course many did not make it to freedom. When you have to build walls and fences to keep people in, there must be something very wrong. If Communism/Socialism is so great, why were people risking and sacrificing their lives to run from it? Yet the cloud of oppression and the decay of personal liberty have been “moving forward” faster in America than ever before. The demand for social justices and wealth distribution from the left caters to those who feel the country owes them and certainly there are plenty of freeloader in fact probably all who voted for Obama. With carefully crafted lies and deceit the Liberal scholars have taken over the hearts and minds of an entire generation and ridicule the critical thinker. (Watch the documentary by Ben Stine “Expelled no intelligence allowed” (a few years old now). It shows the assault on rational logical thinking manufactured in “Hell’s kitchen” and used in our public schools and universities. Our youth is being indoctrinated to the lie that Capitalism has failed and Socialism is the answer. Where have we heard this before in history?

I have studied our “anointed” Leader for the last four years, including some quotations in his two (mind boggling) books, for example: his unfavorable few of white people, (he was ashamed of his mother’s race) his uncompromising believe in socializing medicine and government interventions in energy, his unapologetic Muslim upbringing in Indonesia admitting to heavy drinking and drug use during his Collage years. Yet all his records are sealed, who is the mystery man? Studying his mentors of the past and his present associates, his speeches, where he says one thing and then does the total opposite and an endless list of executive orders, altogether it has many similarities to the 1930’s Germany. My friends, please check out the dictators of the past and how they rose to power, it is the same pattern every single time, create massive debts with economic and financial meltdown, nationalize industries to “save” them, free handouts, for the “moochers” heavy progressive taxation on everyone, takeover of the health care system, indoctrination in the schools (read the Marxist manifesto). I hope my conclusion is wrong, but I am not willing to take a chance. Good luck to the “new America moving forward”.

I get the same lame argument over and over from some of my friends: We are still better off than everybody else in the world. Answer: For how much longer? What happens when hyperinflation sets in, the Dollar collapses, food shortages, your money becomes just paper, interest rates will skyrocket? Too pessimistic or just the logical consequence: Inevitable implosion? How much longer can we sustain the extension of government, printing money to pay for the interest on the endless barrowing of funds, keep raising the debt ceiling? The Government produces absolutely nothing other than massive expenses, look at any socialist system and find one which works, there are NONE. Eventually they run out of other people’s money the result: Poverty, unrest, chaos in the streets!!!

What exactly does “moving forward” mean? Is that the continuation of “hope and change”? We take from the “evil rich” to redistribute to the lazy and incompetent. We use food, intended for people and livestock to make biofuel, protecting the environment and leave the massive reserves of crude oil underground. We choose to import oil from our enemies, who by the way STONE their homosexuals, but then we boycott Chick’s Filet and other businesses because the owner is for traditional marriage. Should maybe those who are so upset with the ”narrow minded” hold up signs in front of gas stations and Mosques too? Why is it “cool” to embrace the homosexuals, but we outlaw (at least for now) pedophilia and bigotry? Should not ALL perverts get equal treatment?

Why should it be a woman’s right to kill her unborn baby in the “safest place” the womb? What about the baby’s right? What if she gets murdered, the killer gets charged with double murder, where is the logic in that? We killed about 56 Million unborn babies in the last forty years of legalized abortion, which equals to around 18% of the entire US population; rap your mind around that! Further why should we take away guns from law abiding citizens? At the same time we legalize marijuana (so far in three states)? Tens of thousands of people have been killed over the years in alcohol and drug related accidents. Where is the outcry to confiscate alcohol, drugs and cars? Personally I am not confident with my President holding a beer summit on the Whitehouse lawn, what if some sudden crises came up? Was alcohol a player when our embassy got attacked in Libya or was the failure to react preventing the murderer of four brave Americans just incompetence?

For those of you who think it is only four more years, are you sure? Could it be an absolute power crab? After the uttermost failure of the Republicans at the November election, what could possibly turn this around? There has been already a bill introduced to eliminate term limits for the presidency, do your own research.

Also I am not comfortable to know that my taxes and the forced healthcare mandate funds will contribute to abortions, to an utterly failed education system and indoctrination.
My heart goes out to those of you who cannot just pack up and leave. I will miss you All and to my Christian friends: May God protect you. To my heathen friends: SORRY you made your choice

  3. I am extremely excited that this person is leaving the country. Perhaps he can be a Pied Piper?

The hate and negativity toward Obama is a cancer. He's not great shakes, but he is Zeus compared to GWB, who should have been impeached, found guilty of treason and sedition, and hanged till death on live national television.

Great Divide indeed. Check your charts folks, those who read and embrace nonsense such as this have a lot of 'splainin' to do. Those of us who are positive and moving forward, regardless of what is happening in Sacramento and/or Washington D.C., would really appreciate it if those of you who need to wallow in "everything that's bad" could kinda keep it to yourselves, join a self-help group and find out if maybe something internally is the issue.

Apparently you haven't noticed. We're moving on. Ask your favorite Millennial, they'll be more than happy to explain it to you great detail. Your Relevance Ship has sailed!

    Asta La Vista, Baby...

    1. If Michael was around during the Revolutionary War my guess is he would be one of the cowards hiding under his desk while the Patriots were fighting for freedom.

How do you explain the ineptness of the Republican Party that allowed Obama's reelection? There is no other plausible explanation that they threw the fight much like when they picked Sarah Palin as McCains running mate. McCain was very electable with a reasonable Veep.

If you are concerned about the current situation in this country you have to look at the pathetic state of the Republican party as the only opposition party.

    1. PaulE, I already covered this in a previous post. R's hold most everything in America except the US Senate and the Presidency. The loss by Romney was only a couple of percent, no mandate for the O. Obama had a billion dollars to pay people to vote numerous times and he did well with that demographic. Romney made his share of mistakes but one never should take anyone lightly in the game.

  5. The election was a rout by historical standards, 4% popular vote and and 332-206 EC edge. My point is how can you have confidence that the Pubbers won't throw the election again like in 2008 and 2012. I mean really, to embrace a candidate whose policy for immigration begins with "voluntary deportment" is nuts. McCain was actually electable till they sabotaged him with Sarah Palin who has not even completed one term of national office and cant even keep her job at Fox News. To quote you "What a hoot"

    1. Palin, yep, just like the one term Congressman Abraham Lincoln. Totally unqualified for office. Yep, Paul you are just too smart for me and the Republicans. Regarding the term "rout". If you are serious with that statement then I assume you were smoking something odd when you dreamed that one up. Besides the close loss in the Presidency, the democrats held the Senate which is the usual outcome in the scope of things. R's hold the majority of Govs, legislatures and Supremos. I'd say you are exposing your ignorance in the big picture.

If winning by 126 EV's isn't a rout than what is. This election was over by 9PM. I was doing news for KVMR and the Pubsters had already tossed all the pimento spam balls and other deli delights by 9:30 and cleared out when I stopped by the headquarters .

By the way, we are a Republic you know and popular vote means nothing. You would have howled "we was robbed" if you were an Al Gore supporter who, as you know won the popular vote and lost the election. The problem is that you as a genetic Republican refuses to acknowledge what a disaster the last two Presidential elections were for the Republicans. They were so inept that the only rational thought is that they threw the fight. Any reasonable campaign could have won either election.

Sarah Palin has shown who doesn't have the intelligence or talent to even hold a minor pundit role on cable television and you hail her Presidential capabilities. Really Todd

The Pubbers lost ground on both the Senate and House by the way and when the Dems win in 16 as they will surely will they will pack the Supremes for the indefinite future. It must be tough to be optimistic in your situation.

    1. It's OK PaulE, your meds for delusional outbursts are in the top drawer. Fascinating how two people can see the same things and have a 180 degree different view. But, as usual PaulE, I am correct and you are not.

  7. Your prediction of Romney by 8% in the last election is evidence enough of who is delusional. It was Obama by 4 (rounded off) showing you were 12% off the mark. Blog on Todd but no one will take you seriously based on your recent record.

You have no standing to call anyone delusional.

You were 12% off the mark in the last election picking Romney by 8%. Of course Obama won by 4% (rounded off). It's your blog but I doubt anyone will take you seriously based on your recent record. I'm sure you picked McCain and what's her name as well.
