Zimmerman Interviewed by Sean Hannity last night

As I am preparing to get to Auburn this morning for the train rife to San Francisco, I scratched my head on whether to say anything about this issue.  Well here is a short ditty on what I came away with last night. HERE is one take on the interview.

Zimmerman is not the hulking physical monster he was made out to be by the press in the original stories.  He is rather soft spoken and in my view does not appear to be anything the radical race baiters tried to convince everyone he is.  In fact, to give this interview was brave since we all know the Jesse Jackson's and Al Sharpton's and the Congressional Black Caucus will be parsing every word in the interview.  We know they will try and parse his statements into some racial hatred diatribe.  But they will be hard pressed to do so.

Hannity asked a series of questions on the timelines the public already knows about as well as the 9/11 taped words.  Zimmerman began the interview with a heartfelt apology to Martin's relatives and all who have been personally affected by this event.  He then went on to make us aware of exactly what happened.  I believe him.

I am not going to relive the tragedy here today but if anyone wants to hear the interview I think it is on FOX's website.  When one looks back at the hysterical race baiters allegations of this event you just have to say perhaps people should wait until all the facts are on the table before screaming racism or profiling or whatever.

  1. He said it was God's Plan that he killed Trayvon.

What a total bastard that Zimmerman.

    2. I think you misread what he meant. It was that he had a gun to defend himself, not that Trayvon would be killed.

    3. That was his instinctual answer. He later tried to retract it, but too late. Zimmerman is simply a pathetic loser of a human.

  2. Obviously your not a person of faith, or you might have understood
that comment. People of faith believe that what ever happens to them,
or their actions, good , bad or indifferent are part of GODs "bigger plan".

Save your name calling for Muslims that blow up women and children with suicide vests on buses or crowded squares.

  3. You're so right Walt, Christianity is a massive hoax. Islam is a religion of slavery. Yes, all religion is a force for mostly bad.

  4. Called that one,, Attack what you don't understand. Funny how places and happening that are stated in the Holy Bible have been found to true.

At least with Christianity your safe from losing your head or getting punished in the public square for being a non believer.
You can't say that about rabid Muslims. "Convert or die". That is what we hear from "the religion of peace"

    1. Walt,
I suggest you go back and read Christian history. Run a timeline of what Christians were doing at years 100,500, 750, 1000, and compare it to the a bit younger Abrahamic religion, Islam. If you want to make it even simpler look at Christianity in North American history.

I am very spiritual person who has complete faith in a higher power and believes in the teachings of Jesus. My faith doesn't come to me through an institution but through a connection I have with all things. We are all related; animals, plants, water, rocks, stars, sun, ect... and we need to have respect and share our existence with all of our relatives. I love the fact that people come together and share their faith but what I cannot accept is the denial of history.

This passage is where I choose to go when connecting with the Christianity and the new testament.

      Mathew 25
      31-46
      The Sheep and the Goats

31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life. ”

    2. I just knew someone would have to jump in his time machine to paint Christianity in a bad light.
Try sticking to current events. Christianity is the one under attack these days.
Here is a clue for ya'. There are plenty of Democrats that go to church every Sunday, and in every denomination. Christianity isn't just a Conservative Republican thing.

  5. I'm safe without either Christianity OR Islam. Having a great life without either one. I don't understand it? LOL. No, I see what kind of anti-intellectual thought it breeds, manifested in today's loony evangelicals and clingers.

Zimmerman killed a human being without any clear reason. He lied to a judge about his money. He needs to be punished.

Why is it, that in cases of self defence, LIBS are always on the side of the perp? Just like when a local nut beat an old man to death with a large tree branch. It was the local Lefties that stood up to make excuses for him.
In the big picture of self defence, the Left is always out demanding prosecution of anyone who protects themselves or others with a gun.
Why are most( not all) Progressives pro thug? Is it that " forward thinking" we keep hearing about?

  6. If get into a bar room fight in at the Nevada Club, you're going to pull a gun out and shoot, or are you going to man up and fight back with your fists or beg the guy to stop- like 99.5% of those who engage in such activities?

Zimmerman is a coward, alleged murderer, alleged molester and proven wife beater. That much I do know. Why the hell was he tailing a kid with no weapon? WHY? Why would a weak, helpless coward do that?

  7. For one, I have never set foot in that dive. And two, if some thug starts some
crap for no good reason other than to try and prove how tough he is, he better hope I'm not packn'. ( you guess if I do or not)
There is no such thing as a "fair fight". I'm a firm believer in superior force.
( translation) When confronted with harm, fight to win by all means necessary, and firepower if available.

See the oldster that shot two would-be robbers? Too bad he didn't have a bigger gun. The thugs lived. Now we have to pay for their recovery and trial.
Then we have the Liberal version. The old man shouldn't have had a gun in the first place.( an innocent life may have been harmed) He should have yelled that he had a gun and gave the fine upstanding members of society warning that he had one, and should have asked them to leave first.,,, That is what 911 is for. Let the police handle the armed angels.

Sorry,, I will not be a victim to make some Lefty happy.
If I am in fear for my life, or I see another person who is in danger
of violence, ( and if I happen to be armed at the time) I will take action.
Like the saying goes. I would rather be judged by twelve, than carried by six.

BTW, Zimmerman is only in this jam because a certain news outlet messed with the 911 tape just to stir up trouble. They got their desired result. The only consolation is that the ones who edited the tape lost their jobs. I hope Zimmerman sues that news org for everything they got.

    1. Walt,
A 17 year old young man is dead because he didn't fit the profile of Mr Zimmerman's liking. Zimmerman was told to leave him along and he didn't. Zimmerman was the person that was armed. Zimmerman was the one who pulled the trigger that ended a son, brother, boyfriend, and friend life. Trayvon Martin had his future stolen from him by a scared little man. What ever the trial brings either guilty or not guilty it will not bring back Trayvon Martin. The law is written by human beings and no matter what the verdict is in the case George Zimmerman will have to live with this for the rest of his life, that is the worst punishment a person can receive. This is one of my favorite quotes form a Mike Ness song.

"We're not punished for our sins but "by them".

    2. The jury will sort all this out but you do reflect the hysteria of the race haters. Perhaps you should watch the interview and looks at the statement of the witness. Also, BenE, could you explain the broken nose and the wounds on the back of Zimmerman's head? He says Trayvon was bashing his head onto the concrete curb. Let me know after you hav watched the interview.

    3. Todd,
I am actual impressed that Martin fought back against his armed stalker. The case could get thrown out for any number of reason and that wouldn't change the fact a 17 year old who went to the 7/11 to get snacks before a game on tv is now dead because he was profiled, stalked, and eventually killed. The point you seem to be missing is Zimmerman shouldn't have been any where near Martin, since Martin did absolutely nothing wrong. Guilty not guilty doesn't change that Martin's life was taken because an overzealous vigilante wrongly profiled an innocent kid and ignored directions from 911 operators. Todd, what would you think if one of your kids, grandkids, nephews, or nieces were killed in a similar fashion?

      Delete
    4. Profiling? That is just a Libby term to be used in a derogatory way.
So a proper identification and description is profiling?

Go back and listen to the untouched tape again. Zimmerman stated he lost sight if the thug. What a 911 operator says is NOT a lawful order.

    5. Walt,
You're unbelievable. Tell me Walt in all your wisdom what was Trayvon Martin doing that warranted a 911 call and a vigilante to follow him?

      Delete
    6. Ben,
That is THE most important question, and certainly the opening theme of the prosecution. I noticed that no one of the Sean Hannity persuasion has ever asked that question, nor will they ever answer it.

Regardless, George is now in a heaping helping of extra trouble with the idiotic interview on Faux News. I'm pleased.

      Delete
    7. So Ben, if the witness stated Trayvon was on top of Zimmerman and bashing his head into the concrete, Zimmerman should not defend himself since he said he feared for his own life? It is obvious you have little critical thinking skills or even the smallest of an open mind. You also appear to not have read the "unbiased" news sources or the video link I gave here.

    8. Todd,
I am talking about WHY the entire incident happened. The question is Why and How did Zimmerman/ Martin come into contact with each other? Why did Zimmerman think Martin was suspicious? Why did Zimmerman call 911? Why did he continue to pursue despite being told to stay put? How did the altercation start? And last but not least was shooting and killing an unarmed youth justified?

You continue to want to try the case on your blog. Here is why this discussion cannot be seen as guilty or not guilty. Say there is a murderer of an ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend and the police botch collecting the evidence. The murderer gets off or the case gets thrown out. Does this mean the guy didn't do the crime? No it means the police botched their job and now a murderer is walking the streets. This is one of the reasons the US government Obama/ Bush don't want to try Guantanamo prisoners in a US court. The illegal and immoral act of torture will become part of the official record in a court of law.

    9. You didn't watch the video interview did you?

    10. Todd,
I listened to Sean Hannity for to many years and do not respect just about anything he does, so an interview with him as the so called journalist will have little merit with me. So no I didn't watch your video.

Can you recognize despite being the most fair judicial system in history the US judicial system has many tiers of justice? People of color are generally on the bottom tier. White collar crimes are pursued least and have the lightest sentencing where blue collar and crimes of the poor are sentenced much tougher. If you add color to a persons skin the sentencing becomes even tougher. It makes sense since the first 70 years of our nations history there were huge segments of the population that weren't even considered full human beings. It took until 1920 before we broke the 50% of the people who had the right to vote for the legislators who made the laws they had to live under. I am guessing since you have little empathy for others who might not have been as lucky as you and been born a white male in the United States of America.
I very wise quote from Utah Phillips talking about making the transformation from a Korean War Veteran to a pacifist and relaying a message from his mentor, Ammon Hennacy in Salt Lake City.

"You came into the world armed to the teeth. With an arsenal of weapons, weapons of privilege, economic privilege, sexual privilege, racial privilege. You want to be a pacifist, you're not just going to have to give up guns, knives, clubs, hard, angry words, you are going to have lay down the weapons of privilege and go into the world completely disarmed."

  9. DUDE,,, I have been paying close attention to this from the start.
He would be a free man today IF not for a doctored tape the press made
to boost ratings. Like I said. They got the desired results.
Furthermore, if you have been paying attention here, I have been
on Zimmerman's side from the start, because I smelled a rat in the story.
Anyone who had half their hearing could tell the tape was chopped up.
The thug was not shot from a distance like it was first portrayed.
Then the cry went out that Zimmerman had no injuries. That was soon
    proven wrong.
Now he has a judge that sounds quit biased against him. Now a friend of the thug
is accusing him of molestation.( after how many years????) I don't buy that one bit. Someone just wants to cash in on the situation, and stir the pot even more.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Maybe the one that have Zimmerman judged guilty
would have preferred he'd been shot with his own gun.
It's part of the record that Martin was trying to take it
off Zimmerman in the struggle on the ground.

Should neighborhood watch be outlawed as well?
It sure lessons the chance of a thug getting hurt.
Martin was far from the quire boy as he was portrayed to be.

Remember. Martin snuck up behind Zimmerman. It wasn't from 20 feet away and yelling
" Why the hell you following me?"
It there was anything close to that, then you might have an argument.

  11. Oh Boy! While Todd and Walt extole the con-artist Zimmerman's virtues, lawyers all over the country are incredulous now that good Ole' George put himself in major legal jeopardy at his trial with his devastating comments like "it was Gods Plan" and "I had no regrets." Oh really George? God's plan ha- to kill a 17 year old unarmed young man?

Nothin' but a two bit con-artist, liar, and accused murderer and molester. All in all, a fine young man to represent the finest of his right wing fans!

    1. The gun nuts are indeed in a frenzied state of defensiveness today. Absolutely reject any consideration of background checks when buying a cache of semi-automatic weapons at a gun show. Can't have that now, its too European. Rather they believe every American should walk around in fear of people not like them, and everyone should have an arsenal in their home. god bless America...

  17. If everyone can become armed via permit, which ONE person in each theater will be assigned to be the armed guard for the night? Will the audience vote on this before the show, or will they draw straws? Longest NRA tenure? How will you decide this? Simplistic statements are so convenient, but the logistics of making your dream a reality are kinda messy. Can't allow 75 armed people into a movie theater. Ain't going to happen, Todd.
