Harry Reid is from Uranus, Mitch McConnell is from earth

I just watched about fifteen minutes of back and forth between the majority and minority leaders on the US Senate floor.  They were debating the lack of activity of the Senate on the job they are sent there to do.  Budget, appropriations, military etc.  It was simply great!

It was so clear in their debate why America is in such trouble economically.  Reid is the Senate version of Obama.  Reid accepts no responsibility for the lack of progress and for goodness sakes America, he is the boss!  Just like Obama, all that is wrong is the Republicans fault!  Now the democrats have 2/3rds of our executive and legislative branches yet those wascally R's are mucking it all up.  Of course Reid blames R's for his inability to bring legislation to the floor for debate.  Even though McConnell had in his hands a report from Senator Inouye, democrat chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee that he sent nine of the twelve bills to Reid to be debated and voted on.

Reid's response to Mitch and his own guy Inouye?  Complain about the Olympic uniforms made in China!  The man is a loon!  Reid is holding up legislation because he will not allow any amendments to any bill.  Why would we have a Senate where one party, the democrats, would not allow debate?  What is Reid afraid of?  This really has nothing to do with the election since Reid has maintained this policy since he became leader back in 2006.  It appears to me he is acting just like a typical liberal.  If I can't have it my way, then I am taking my ball home,  If the R's want to debate, go debate somewhere else and not on the floor of the Senate and not with us.  Burn those uniforms Reid says, let's talk about that!

How can a Senator, reading the job description of the Senators, reading the history of the Senate, decide that his job is to stop everything at his personal desk?  What about the country he is supposed to be running?  It appears to me the democrat leader has decide his policy of no amendments, no debate and lack of movement on the bills he was sent there to do is less important than some personal problem.  Reid actually read an OP-ED for Ornstein, the resident liberal at AEI that blamed the Republicans in the country for Reid's lack of accomplishments!  I almost spit my coffee across the room when Reid was reading that stupid editorial.

But that is it.  Reid takes no responsibility at all, he blames others just like Obama does, for the lack of progress on anything getting done. Reid even blames House R's for the stalemate.  The House has sent many bills to Reid who won't allow them  to be debated and/or amendments offered.  Reid thinks he is be the Senate Caligula.  He is somehow in the rules of the Senate, given this power to obfuscate and deny.  Just like Willie Brown did back in the California Legislature, the destruction of republican-democracy was foisted on us.  They need to change the rules. 

The McConnell pleas for debating and amendments fell on deaf ears and  Reid is a tone deaf legislator.  If anyone wants to see why there is a "divide" at the top of our governmental system, all one needs to do is listen to Harry Reid.  It is incumbent on the American people to throw these democrat bums out of office if we really want anything to be fixed.  If they are replaced by R's we have a better chance of the Senate actually doing its job.  But if the R's gain control and so the same stuff, we will need to replace them as well.

America is too valuable, and hell, I sure like being an American.   Harry Reid, step down and let adults take over the reigns of the Senate.  Just like Obama, you blame others for your inability to do your job.  We want true leaders.  Heck, I'll even take Joe Lieberman as leader until the election.  He is supposedly a "indie" and maybe his middle status will allow things to be accomplished.  Well, and maybe hell will freeze over.  One can only hope.
