Romney up 5 points over Obama today and other political stuff

Rasmussen has it own daily tracking poll and I cite it a lot because it polls "likely" voters.  Other polls use registered voters, adults, or some other criteria I consider suspect in their results.  HERE is the article today from the Rasmussen site.

Romney appears to be unscathed by the hundred million dollar plus, negative ad blitzkrieg Obama has done since mid May.  If fact I think he has lost a lot of ground with the voters.  Obama and his advisers seem to think they can trash Romney for sending his own money and the people will be boondoggled to disregard his, Obama's, expenditures of their tax dollars for his pals in the "green" industries.

Liberals like Obama are simply arrogant and in reality, never think their pronouncements will be understood by the "masses" in America.  If they actually had respect for the people they tell us they care for, why do they never learn the simplest of facts?  That is a "paycheck".  The American people will show the liberals in charge they are not as stupid as the liberals think.  2010 was the beginning.  Even Republicans who snub the folks will get a comeuppance as they did in 2010.  Richard Lugar, Bennett from Utah and other R's who have not listened are now on the sidelines.  Many democrats are at home now because the people across America have booted them out of office.

Sure, we are a people with a lot of patience but at some point Americans say WHOA!  We are Americans, not the French for goodness sakes.  We have built a great place and it is so great many people from all over the world try and come here.  Heck, 20 million people from south of the border, most sneaking across that border, can't be wrong about the aura of America.  Our "leaders" though, in my opinion, have forgotten the reason America is such a draw.

I read the Union opinion section this morning and I must say the articles by the lefties need to be read in juxtaposition with the articles from the righties.  When I read the lefties it is no different than the talking points of their masters from higher up the democrat food-chain.  The foot soldiers of the left are stuck in a rut and appear to be unable to see reality and write about it.  One nut did a screed on  Doug LaMalfa, my candidate for Congress.  Of course there was no critical thinking, simply an Obama-like attack on LaMalfa which led into the authors screaming against Republicans.

Then we have a nut writing about the Colorado killer telling people to carry a tire iron rather than a gun for self defense.  The author of that piece had to simply be silly, right?  Then we have a defense of the destruction of the dredging industry in California (40,000 jobs too).  The author doesn't disclose the vested interest in the demise of the "private" dredgers and replaced by the government taxpayer funded dredgers taking their place.  These kinds of misinformation are the strategy of the left, not the right.

Then on the Opinion pages we have a article by a Tea Party member asking the liberal detractors to accept his invitation to a meeting so they can see  the members don't have alien heads.  They can even speak to those little old gray haired ladies and retired service members.  What a concept, rather than writing lies about the Tea Party (we know the left is just doing it for political gain) they could see and hear the truth from the very people they have never met.  But it will not happen, the left is peopled by cowards.

But I encourage the left to keep writhing their screeds so all Americans of good will can ascertain their intent.  I credit the lies of the left to be so over the top they have lost a lot of their credibility.  This is shown in the polls.  We are a long ways from November in political terms.  Many things can change but in my view, the conservative underpinning of our country will turn out a voting tsunami to throw the left from office.  It may not work in California or the northeast states, but for the rest of the country, I predict the lies told by the left will not work.

I watch the polls from all over the country and I am seeing a trend at all levels of government away from the left and it's destructive policies.  Americas is much better than what the left has tried to make it become.  As a free market person the people I relate to are those that wish to uphold the qualities of America and not try and divide us all through liberal envy tactics.  I am glad to see the discovery of the billions of dollars, mis-reported here in California.  Why? Because it is just further evidence of the incompetence we have allowed to be given power over us.  If the money we spend is so unregulated it is time to get people into power who actually care we taxpayers should be protected and respected.

Romney is ahead of Obama in the polls and I am confident the nation will agree his policies to restore our country to greatness are better than Obama's whining and class dividing rhetoric.  A positive, sincere message by Romney will outpoint the lies and fibs of the liberals.

  1. NBC News/ Wall Street Journal has the President up 6. You know more than they do? LOL. Real Clear Politics has never shown Romney in any type of lead. Never. People cannot stand the guy. He's a uber rich dork of the highest order.

All you need to do is study the Electoral Map. Obama still has the clear edge there. Huffington Post has a fantastic section every day on this.

  5. Robert...Here's some Associated Press news concerning California budget omissions. SACRAMENTO, Calif.—More than $2 billion in California taxpayer money has apparently been stashed in hundreds of special funds unaccounted for by the state Department of Finance, a newspaper reported on Friday....An examination of more than 500 special fund accounts, like the $54 million discrepancy in state parks money, showed a $2.3 billion "discrepancy" between state controller and Department of Finance numbers, according to the San Jose Mercury News...Dozens of state departments told the governor's budget aides earlier this year that they had a combined $8.8 billion left in "rainy day" reserves for their special fund accounts. The controller's office, however, said there was $11.1 billion in cash reserves for the accounts...That does not necessarily translate into hidden funds," Department of Finance spokesman H.D. Palmer said. "In many cases, there will very likely be legitimate accounting reasons for the difference in those funds."

  6. Just to rub it in a little, Our local Libs preach "compassion" but only give
    token lip service to it.
What we I was involved with last week was compassion in it's truest form.
Giving fully without asking for anything in return. But keep slamming Glen Beck.
What he and his organization did for Dallas/Ft. Worth, and surrounding arias was on a biblical scale. This week the personal stories will be hitting the web.
I hope those that have talked bad about Glenn Beck read some of those personal testaments. WE did, what you talk about doing.
This had vary little to do with polotics, of Right VS Left. But we were all aware of what needs to happen if the United States is to survive.

    We had a great week.

  7. We can't say that about all of them. I met a few dems that hopped the fence to join in on the hard work. I met a dem or two that made a good life for themselves and know that "O" has to go if that want to keep what they have built.
It's the takers, and not the givers, that are the problem. We do have some good people with a D next to their name,( Like a guy named Murie from here) But they are the exception to the rule here in Ca.

This one is for the pro wind power gang. I happen to have made a great friend of a major builder of those bird blenders. If you like those things, may I suggest you contact you favorite elected official and demand they PAY the contractors that put them up. DOE has screwed this company over. The good old " the check is in the mail" is alive and well. You got the money coming out of the taxpayers pockets for the damned things, now get "your" elected DEMS to use that money to pay the builders.

  8. Walt how about asking the Republicans to honor The Budget Control Act that required equal cuts to social and defense if the Supercommittee couldn't come to an agreement on the spending cuts to offset the debt ceiling increase. Without discussion, the House voted to scrap the defense sequester, 220-201. 21 Republicans voted no. The Republican have voted to spare the Defense Department from sequester cuts and take required budget savings from other departments. Seems the Republicans can't keep a square deal. So typical.

    1. How bout Reid putting all the 30+ house bills up for vote that he is sitting on? Since the LIBS in power, see their power coming to and end, they want to take the nation down with them. Forget the Senate just shot down the latest Bill to keep the tax rate down? But of course,, try and pin that on the Conservatives.
The people of this nation see this for what it is. Kiss the Senate good bye and "O" with them.
LIBS have sealed their own fate.

BTW Remember the Tea Party? Just because any story on us has been spiked by Progressive news, we are alive and well and spreading the word.
There were plenty of Democrats that have jumped the fence and have joined our point of view. I know this personally. I met many in Texas this last week.
The Tea Party has gone GLOBAL! Australia, Grease,Ireland, Portugal,China. Italy. Just to name a few. ( over 20 in all)

So enjoy what little time is left in power. The USA will never become what Progressives want to turn it into.

  9. Walt you didn't or couldn't answer why the conservatives are backing out of an agreement they made. Taxes are at all time lows Walt. I could care less about the Tea Party. 2. Walt, he is an OWS pal and supporter so it is no wonder he is so off base. Regarding the taxes. The Treasury gets 2.5 trillion in and sends out 3.7 or more. The left wants more and more and is insatiable for your hard earned dough. It is not a revenue problem it is a spending problem. But the libs just don't care.

      Delete
    3. Walt there are numerous reasons why the US was formed from England. But the actual original Boston tea party occurred because of a protest of the British government and the East India Company on tea that arrived in America. Basically the Brits wanted to tax the tea hence the Tea Tax. The protest, in general, was about taxation without representation. The tea tax followed the much hated Stamp tax.
The difference today is the US does have representation, both in the Senate and in the House. So assuming today's tea party has any historic ties to the original party is pure hyperbole. Hate the US? Where do you get such moronic ideas Walt? From Glenn who taught you Love?
Todd, you can continue to make claims against the OWS. It really just shows how out of touch you are on a day-to-day basis with the vast majority in the US.

    4. Walt as you can read from Ken Jones he is really in a dreamworld politically. He is a supporter of the now almost defunct OWS. I hope he continues to expend energy on them. Also, he calls you a moron and then whines when confronted with his bad info. It is just another lesson from a liberal the people get to see.

The Tea Party, of which I am not a member, helped win 63 Congressional seats in 2010 and along with Sarah Palin, are going to win a bunch more this go around. The liberals can't hack the success.

Today Chick-fil-A is being overrun by adoring fans. The left has opened a bees nest. I bet old Ken Jones supports the "kissing day" his minions are saying they will be doing to dis the business. What a hoot!

    6. Todd I made no such implication that Walt is a moron. I simply stated his one specific idea was moronic, large difference between the two. Why do you try and incite Todd? The Tea Party success is minimal. If Sarah Palin is your measurement of "success" then you set a very low bar.

Now a "kiss in" has been planned. No problem... Just throw up a curtain by that booth.
So you think this is a way to get people to vote Lefty? Have at it. So when the votes come in, the first thing you will be saying is, " Uh, what just happened???"

The more these people eat, their lifespans decrease, thereby accelerating the demographic and cultural transition to the mid-21st century.

      Delete
    11. Ken Jones said "Where do you get such moronic ideas Walt?" is not calling the person saying it a moron? Yikes, lib logic is truly scary. Inciting is a lib ploy, not a conservative ploy. Liberals are always using their "secret" code to make fun of those they don't like, then claim plausible deniability for the results. I have your number. Try harder.

Chick-fil-a is a successful business and the liberals are on the run. They tried to boycott it and now the black pastors are supporting the business. So Robert, save your blasphemy for others. I am on the same side as the black pastors.

    14. Todd I will try and explain the difference between an actual moron and a moronic comment or idea. Roberto Goizueta was the CEO of Coke in 1985 when Coca-Cola introduced "New Coke". New Coke was a complete flop. Within months Coca-Cola brought back Coke Classic. As CEO Roberto Goizueta took responsibility for what many deemed a moronic decision. Mr. Goizueta earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Yale, so he was certainly no moron. Real simple difference between the two Todd.

      Ken Jones

    15. So let me get this straight Ken Jones. When you call a comment or an act someone makes "moronic" that really has nothing to do with you actually saying the person is a moron? Wouldn't that be like saying the act of pedophilia does not mean the person is a pedophile? I think you have twisted liberal logic into unrecognizable wordsmithing. You had better find a better way to insul so we don't pay attention.

When likely voters in the three battleground states were asked whom they would vote for if the election were held today, here's the way it broke down:
    •Florida: Obama, 51 percent; Romney, 45 percent.
    •Ohio: Obama, 50 percent; Romney 44 percent
    •Pennsylvania: Obama, 53 percent; Romney 42 percent

  22. Walt I looked at Google and I found the commercial that I assume you are referring to when Ms. Warren states that "we need to be more like China". These are her words direct from the ad:
"We've got bridges and roads in need of repair and thousands of people in need of work. Why aren't we rebuilding America? Our competitors are putting people to work, building a future. China invests 9% of its GDP in infrastructure. America? We're at just 2.4%. We can do better. We can build a foundation for a strong new economy and get people in MA to work right now."
Where is Ms Warren stating anything about Chinese human or worker rights? Family rights or the individual’s rights? I did notice that the most prevalent websites to discuss this "issue" were the Daily Caller and Glenn Beck. Two very biased and factually challenged sources.
As far as Rep West is concerned, one can dislike the man and his politics and this has no reflection on his military career. You don't like Sen. Kerry and he had a distinguished military career. Does that mean you hate the military Walt? Why are you concerned about a speck in your friend's eye when you have a log in your own?

    1. And Ms. Warren is exactly right Ken. Our infrastructure is CRUMBLING, and the Eric Cantor and Cry Baby Boner House sits and does nothing. The President has a Jobs Bill ready to go, to get millions of people back to work doing things no "job creator" in private industry is going to do. You OK with crumbling schools, roads and bridges there Walt? You know someone besides the Federal Government who will take care of those things?

      Delete
    2. Walt as you can read Ken Jones spins the meaning of Warren's words probably given to him by DailyKos writers or Obama's staffers. What Ken Jones misses (and I am shocked since he is so intelligent) is that a average Chinese worker makes $5,000 per year as opposed to ten times that here. I guess he and Warren want to return to those wages for the middle class? Obama spent a trillion bucks on a "stimulus" for "shovel ready" projects didn't he? Oops, that's right, the infrastructure took a back seat to unions and only 6% or 60 billion got to the potholes and bridges.

Also Ken Jones forgets about the Swift NBoat men who served with Kerry and their exposing his true service record to the light of day. Kerry is a fraud and his Senate testimony was unAmerican. Kerry is a lousy Senator and an opportunist. He marries moneyed women and dodges taxes on his yacht. What a guy.

Alan West is a very smart man and very articulate. He is black and a conservative. The liberals call him names behind his back which no one in polite company would say. The Jones get to speak their tripe because the West's defended their rights in the military.

Robert and Jones would vote for and support with every fiber of their being anyone other than a conservative. If Stalin was on the ticket and promising the Ukrainian farmers wheat, (knowing he murdered 30 million of them) they would check his name and ask for his leadership. Warren and Kerry are their kind of people.

    3. Stalin equated with Eliz Warren. Check. Now thats quite the insight.

    4. Elizabeth Warren,

      American Hero. Senator from MA.

I can live with that. I'll probably send her a few dollars tomorrow.

    5. Todd I quoted Ms. Warren verbatim. No spin. As far as Sen. Kerry he earned a Bronze star, a Silver star and 3 purple hearts. The swift boaters lies were all debunked. I would say that Sen. Kerry's military service allows you to post the crap you spew daily. In fact Todd you owe Senator Kerry a huge thank you for his service to our great country, not insults and lies. Have you no shame?

      Ken Jones

    6. Kerry is a fraud why would I honor that? (I'll settle for my dad and grandsd's service). Only liberals would support and honor a liar like Kerry. He threw his medals over the fence at the White House because he was a proud veteran? He then trashed his fellow soldiers as murderers and worse in front of the Teddy Senate Committee. No, Ken Jones, you are the spewer in chief of liberal hokum I tell the people the truth about your ilk and you go wah wah. What a hoot!

  23. So the Demmies want to double down on " You didn't build that"? Have at it. It's two extra nails in the political coffin for the price of one.

New bias? You really want to go there? Go right ahead. May I remind you of ABC? How about MSNBC?
Or the rest of Progressive news. Nope,,, NO bias there what so ever.... rrriight,,,?
Keep the ammo coming. I know exactly how to use it.

BTW,, Glenn has plans for Ohio. ( that should really get you going.LOL)

Unlike LIBS,, I honor our military.Nice try.

  24. Hay guys,,( Libs) hear the news out of Ohio?
Oh,, my apologies.. "your" news probably didn't let it out of the bag.Jimmy Dimora was sentenced Tuesday to 28 years in prison for his conviction in a wide-ranging federal public corruption case. The 57-year-old Dimora, also a former Democratic Party chairman in Cleveland, was convicted of racketeering, bribery and other counts. His trial capped an investigation that led to more than 50 convictions involving county officials, employees and contractors who traded bribes for government jobs and contracts.

    "O" just lost a huge donation bundle.LOL!!

    ReplyDelete
  25. What donation bundle might that be Walt? This particular was indicted, convicted months and months ago Walt. Walt, following along? There hasn't been any donation bundle, wouldn't be now, and wouldn't be in the future, Walt. Not sure the Obama campaign was really banking on that Cleveland bundle now Walt. LOL.

    1. Old news? LOl.. His sentence came down on Tuesday.
No bundling? Sure about that? "O"has taken plenty from other bundle rs,and gave them positions in his empire. Maybe just because he didn't get caught? Look at what they found him guilty of! Just a guess.

Then we have the accusation from Harry Reid. I'm sure you have heard about that. So Harry can make a claim like that with nothing but and anonymous source to hide behind. Well Name him! Lets have that info.
This isn't the first time Prince Harry has made wild claims with no evidence, and the press let it slide.

    2. Yes, Harry Reid has a reliable source within Bain that reports that Willard The Mitt has paid ZERO tax for several years straight.

Willard, oh Willard, what are you hiding in those returns??? We'll eventually find out. Its a political problem for the Mittster, as he bumbles his way to another gaffe.

      Delete
    3. Obama never paid his taxes for many years when he was a "community activist" and a insider made that allegation as well. I guess we will have a massive uptick in BS now.

  26. Only Willard the Mitt Romney would be idiotic enough to promote dramatically increasing military spending, while slashing every other social program in America. He will lose the election over this thing, and his absolutely insane, and bumbling foreign policy. Most of America has had quite enough of the same Bush policies which created the stagnation we find ourselves in today.

    1. I think you have it exactly backwards. Obama is seen as a wimp now on defense and only the liberals give him a thumbs up for that. The rest of the country sees the health of all as worthy to defend and fund.

    2. All of the polls on this subject show we are tired of wasted US adventurism which is a major component of our fiscal problem. Trillions of bucks wasted in far away wastelands. For nothing. People are hurting here at home. Most Americans prefer spending some of that money on our own people. The bumbling Romney has no military credibility.

    3. I trust him with our military a lot more than the sorry excuse Libs decided to affirmative action into office.
"O" did such a great job in foreign policy didn't he? That's why we are sending warships into the Middle East once again. Will "O" get permission from Congress this time? ( doubt it) The only country that is still our friend is Israel, and that is on shaky ground thanks to Obumbler.

  27. Under " other political stuff"
Gov. Moonbeam overextended and over predicted just how much
he (Ca.) was going to rake in from Facebook. ( like this is shocking news)
Well,, Called that one on day one. Brown over spent by two Bil. right out of the gate despite taking away state cell phones as a PR stunt. He figured on the FB money to cover the over expenditure. Well,, Only less than half is what the state is getting from what it's "estimate" was supposed to be.
So count on Brown to hit the air with more begging us to vote for more insane taxation... Nope,, NOT going to happen. But of course there is the handout brigade that will vote in favor of them. The money won't be coming out of THEIR pockets. So of course they will believe, " stick it to the other guy. I won't have to pay them."

  28. Walt,
Yes indeed, the President HAS done a wonderful job on foreign policy in his term. He has totally changed the dyanmic of so many of our uber expensive quagmires and stalemates that that abject moron GW Bush got involved in. The Prssident has regained the respect of the World formerly held by his office, prior to 2000.

Willard the Mitt is simply a rich, disloyal patrician who was un-patriotic in his use of tax evading offshore accounts. He's a person with no military connections or background, and who seems to be ready to drop bombs and pull triggers at the first sign of his paranoia and fears. Talks a big game for someone who has never faced a military or international crisis. God, he cannot even make a speech without some dorkish, disrespectful or downright dangerous rhetoric. He's already raised the suspicions of world leaders who saw his dreadful performance on his recent trip. His advisors are basically the same neo-cons as during Bush. Yup, just another GW Bush.

  29. The American people know a conman when they see one. And in one Mitt Romney, we have a tragic and stunted man, whose hubris, arrogance, snobbishness and comfort with lying will be his undoing and demise.

    ReplyDelete
  30. LOL.. What we have here is a bunch of Eskimos that "O" and Co. can sell ice too.
"O" has turned the nation into Fred Sanford's yard, and you want to give him four more to finish the job? Not going to happen.
The jobs report is out, and it sucks as predicted. Here in Ca. the real unemployment number is 20.3%! ( U-6 table)So by all means, vote LIB. There are still some people working. But you can fix that problem too.

    ReplyDelete
  31. So "O" wants to win Ohio? Good luck with that now since he has filed suit
against three whole days of extra voting for our military there. YUP,, thats going to score points for "O".
