Two million Californians out of work, lamestreams spin it as a positive!

I find it so interesting on how the lamestream media spins unemployment figures.  In both the federal system and the state system we see a huge desire to spin up the the numbers of people who are employed in order to jinn up some sort of subliminal message of success for the democrats and Obama.

The reason I say this is I saw the reverse effort of the lamestreams during the Bush tenure in the White House.  As a home builder during those years, it was almost a daily duty for the lames to put a negative spin on a 4.5% unemployment rate!  Home builders usually lead the way in the employment sectors since people want a home if they are doing well in their jobs.  With such a low unemployment rate for almost his whole term, the lamestreams had to figure out ways to put a negative subliminal message into the brains of the great unwashed.  They moved the goal posts on a daily basis to make it appear the rate that day was either worse than the day before or the rate was a bubble.  All to dis the Republicans.

I  see how the lames spin the news now and it is the reverse for Obama and the democrats.  Since 90% of the newsmen vote democrat, it is no wonder they do the spin to make things appear netter than they are.  Federal numbers have been above 8% for 42 months now and when they ticked down from 8.2 to 8.1 the press had a Obamagasm.  When they tick up they are reported as an anomaly or a layoff from the military.

HERE is a good review of the numbers and check out the totals.  Two million fellow Californians are unable to find work and many businesses are getting out of the state and yet numskulls in the \lamestream spin a job increase!  This article shows that the rate dropped to  10.7% in our state but the spin is at least it isn't 11%!  Same for the Feds.

Maybe after the years of environmental studies the high speed railway to nowhere will be hiring men to build it?  Fat chance, most will have left the state by then.

There is too much hanky-panky done with statistics on jobs.  I see the jobless every day.  I talk to fellow contractors in our area who have not worked for two years.  They are bleeding their savings accounts to zero.  But the lamestreams tell us something different.  If Bush or any other Republican was in charge over the last few years, the media would be reaming them daily rather than kissing their posteriors.

The spin would be to throw the bums out.  The daily mantra would cause the uninformed to take up pitchforks.  But, since the democrats are in charge the lames say be patient, the policies will begin to work, trust your leaders.  Yikes!  Well at least the 33% rate for welfare is working. The facts show the economy is over the cliff, Obama and Brown and those democrats wrecked the place.  If you want to have jobs, if you want to be able to realize the American and California dream, you have to boot the lefty politicians and place the adults (R's) in charge.  Otherwise, the only people left will be civil servants and the lamestream media reporting the good news dished out by the civil servants.

  1. The Bush years and his policies led us to the financial bubble. All that supposed great employment was built on a house of cards. Romney doesn't have a single specific policy that is any different than Bush, who led us to where we are today.

Anyone seen George Bush? He is MIA and will disappear for several months! LOL. What a Party!

    1. Yeah I saw him and so did millions last week in interviews. You must live in a cave Robert. Many millions of people did real well in the Bush years. Maybe you should try harder? Besides, you guy Obama voted for all those TARPs.

    2. I did "well" too, until the bubble hit and took everyone back to square one. It was all a false and cruel illusion of prosperity. Just like Bush's vision of America. Nothing left except the abandoned developments.

    3. What abandoned developments are you speaking of? Since you did well and then lost it all, were you prudent and saved anything? Why if Obama is doing so well does the nation have such high unemployment and huge trillion dollar plus deficits?

    4. I hate to burst Rob's bubble, There was an unfinished spec. home subdivision just this side of Linda for many years. ( I almost bought it myself some years back.. Damn....) But someone else got their hands on it and it's a great little neighborhood today. There is only a handful of empty units.
So where are these "planned ghost towns" you speak of Rob?
I have seen pictures of ghost cities in China, but not here.

Maybe it's Detroit and Chicago you are referencing. Their populations are down by half.

  2. That's it. Take a swipe at Bush. All presidents but one or two, after their time is up, stay out of the lime light. Clinton is one of those exceptions.( And Bummer will most likely keep his mouth close to a microphone as well. He loves being "it".

As for unemployment book cooking, now that "emergency" UP checks have stopped
going out, of course the UP look so much better. Those people are no longer counted. The under employed don't get counted either. Any numbers they can get away with not counting, they will, and have.
Funny how a fraction of a percent is supposed to be good news.

  3. We don't need to go through another unsustainable bubble, built on tax cuts and de-regulation. Sustainability my friend- the only solution.

    1. The country needs more tax cuts and less regulation.

    2. That will accomplish nothing except to enrich the richest of the rich.
      How sweet.

    3. Do you dislike the "rich"? Why would allowing people to keep their own money be a bad thing?

    4. Maybe Rob can go to one of the local hobo camps and find a well paying job. ( since rich guys don't create jobs in his view)
Let us know how that works out.
There is always a space at one of the street corners or off ramps,
There is a story about a panhandler that racked in over 60 grand.
Maybe he can hire Rob to stand in for him. ( 70/30 split)
Be sure to get a retirement deal out of him too. Then unionize
the panhandlers. SEIU is in desperate need of members. OH Darn... Teamsters are courting the bum union.... You may need to find another.

  4. Clinton is not different, he stayed out of the limelight for eight years and then came back in when Hillary was running for President. Other presidents have had similar leaves of absence.

As the EU is now demonstrating in spades, socialism is not sustainable.

    1. As I recall George, Clinton kept his face and opinion in the press all through the Bush years. Both 1 and 2.
Gore was no differant. Compare that to both Bush Presidents. We hardly a word out of them. No criticizing of the current Prez. Clinton had plenty of criticism of the Bush's.
At least Bill is putting the screws to "O" as well. And well deserved.

    2. Clinton was what Carville called the girls Clinton liked, trailer trash. He can't keep his yap shut because he is a narcissist. Carter too. Bush one and two have class. They had their shot and now are letting the present occupant do his thing. That shows maturity, something Clinton and Gore never had.
