97-318 for a nix on raising the debt limit

With some saying this was simply a political ploy by republicans to put the lefty democrats on record as wanting to raise the debt limit, I disagree.  There are times when the country wants a sense of the House, you know, the People's House, on importnatntant issues.  This is what I gathered here.

I listened to the dethroned Steny Hoyer the old Majority Leader for the democrats, spew his left wing revisionist history and of course, HE BLAMED BUSH!  It was comical.  I think his ilk should simply retire before they embarrass themselves any more on the public stage and the taxpayers dollar.  Even though he personally voted for an additional four trillion dollars of debt in a little over two years during the present Obama administration, he blamed BUSH! I was rolling on the floor!

There was about 80 democrats that voted with the Republicans so that made Hoyer's verbal rant all the more funny.  So at least for a while, there won't be an additional 2.4 trillion added to our credit card which will be paid for our kids and great grandkids.  GOOD JOB!

Oh and BTW, there were 7 who voted "Present", all democrats.  They must have taken their lesson from Obama's voting style.

  1. Ya,,, Blame Bush. That's going to get some votes your way. Good luck getting that past the people.
These Leftists ( and a few RINOS) have got destroyed this nation with union pandering and with this "social justice" ," give me a handout"
people. And all in just over two years.
Have these tax and spenders even passed a budget since "O" took office? Don't forget "Crapulis". It all went to big union and public employees.
And the list goes on. ( no,,I didn't forget Obummercare. But I sure would like too)

  2. What about Governor Chris Christie’s image as a cost-cutter? What abuot him using a state police helicopter to get to his son’s high-school baseball game, leaving New Jersey with a $2,500 bill?

  3. http://content.usatoday.com/communities/onpolitics/post/2011/06/chris-christie-helicopter-reaction-/1

Christie now says he will NOT pay back the taxpayers for the state police helicopter ride he took to go to his kids baseball game... seems the Tea Party needs to get onto this misuse of publ;ic funds!

  4. I am sure there will a woodshed visit if this AP story has any validity. I find it interesting the USA Today ran it and the story uses a New Jersey newspaper as a source. Also, how do you square this from the story you linked too?
    ?"
State helicopters cost $2,500 an hour to operate. Col. Rick Fuentes, superintendent of New Jersey's State Police, said in a statement there was "no additional cost to taxpayers or the State Police budget" for the ride to Montvale in Bergen County."

  5. Oh and BTW SteveE. I support your view on the little shacks.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Todd, it's a true story and Christe has responded. Christie says he will not pay back the taxpayers for the state police helicopter ride he took to go to his kids baseball game... his sons baseball game not some government related event or function.

You posted the lame excuse and cover story he is trying to sell. Sorry, no sale. He used a taxpayers funded helo to go to his kids baseball game... it's that simple.

It's wrong and the lame cover spin is BS. The taxpayers paid for the ride for him and his wife.

Can you agree that it was wrong for Christie to do this? It was also very stupid for so many reasons.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I do agree he should pay it back. I have also been waiting for President Obama to pay the taxpayers back for his wife' s trip to Spain. Do you agree? How abut Pelosi and her use of Air Force 2? We may have some agreement about taxpayers money.

Did you read the quote I placed by the cop? How do you explain that?

    ReplyDelete
  8. After getting hammered on this Christie has now changed his mind. In addition more info is out about his past spending of taxpayers money.

Also as a federal prosecutor, Christie stayed at luxury hotels using taxpayer money and time and time again spent a lot more over the designated limit set for hotel stays. Seems he really liked the luxury hotels.

Also interesting that the New Jersey Republican State Committee is paying half the taxpayers money Christie and his wife "spent" flying to his sons baseball game.

Also interesting that since a review of his helo use was called for he is also now paying for a May 27 trip to another game of his son's.

So it seems he says one thing about the use of taxpayers money but he does another. Do as I say, not as I do... how nice.

No one elected to public office should use taxpayers money for personal uses, trips, etc, not Christie, not Pelosi... none of them:

This week, ahead of a meeting with Republican donors hoping to woo him as a presidential candidate with fiscal conservative credentials, Christie and his wife Mary Pat flew by helicopter to St. Joseph Regional High School in Montvale.

Democratic lawmakers, enmeshed in tough budget negotiations with the Republican governor, called the trip an irresponsible waste of state resources.

A Christie spokesman said the governor chose to refund the money although the trips do not cost taxpayers extra money.

The head of the state police said the flights were used for training purposes and the hours would have been logged regardless.

"Though the Superintendent of the State Police noted yesterday the travel does not cost taxpayers additional dollars, the Governor understands the sensitivity about this kind of thing and believes he owes it to the public to ensure that this is not a distraction," spokesman Michael Drewniak said in a statement.

He said Christie has used state police helicopters 33 times, the lieutenant governor took one trip and staff flew to back-to-back news conferences in southern and northern New Jersey.

As a refund, Christie has paid $1,232.30 to the state treasurer for Tuesday's trip to the game, while the New Jersey Republican State Committee paid $1,232.29 for the trip back to Princeton, said party spokesman Rick Gorka.

Christie also reimbursed the state $919.20 for a May 27 trip to another game of his son's, Gorka said.

This is not the first time Christie has been criticized over spending. Last year, the website Politico reported that as a federal prosecutor, Christie stayed at luxury hotels using taxpayer money.

Citing a Justice Department report, it said Christie exceeded the federal government's set lodging rates by as much as $242 per night on 15 occasions between 2007 and 2009.

Over the course of 23 trips, only eight of his stays were booked in compliance with federally allotted rates, it said

  9. "Did you read the quote I placed by the cop? How do you explain that?"

It's simple... it was just ass covering for the cops and their boss.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I have no love for Christie so your protestations are not affecring me as you are trying to do. I thought you said you were a cop. Does that mean you are a liar too?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Oh please Todd, act like an adult and have an adult conversation on this can you?

My posts on this were not an attempt to predestinate you... I'm posting about the issues. Boy you sure seem to think everything is about you.

As all can see above I did not post that the cops were telling a lie now did I Todd? I posted the cops said what they said to cover their ass and Christies ass too.

So Todd... does your post mean you still beat your girlfriend?... You see my pointless, stupid and unfair "question" is just like your pointless, stupid, unfair "Does that mean you are a liar too?" "question.

Come on Todd, try to act like an adult.

    ReplyDelete
  12. "Act like an adult?" You're "posting about the issues?" Good one Steve, I needed a good belly laugh sir.

Steve you go from the serious discussion of the Nation's 14.5 Trillion dollar debt to crying about Chris Christie?

Are you serious? The same old deflections and denial of what is important and real Does it every get old being a petty partisan spoon fed your opinion for you?

You seem to have no problem with the 200 billion per month in deficit spending and instead choose to focus on a 2,500 helicopter ride by the governor of a state you don't live in. How "adult" of you.

I'm sorry Steve but your ilk are about as "adult" as a diaper filled with dogmatic liberalism.

  14. Then why did you spend your entire post(s) taking about Christie (who is of NO consequence to you) while asserting a good man like Todd should act like an adult.

Then you end a post responding to me with "got it" ??

You need to get real. You're not a very smart man are you...

    ReplyDelete
  17. It is people like you that will boycott anybody they disagree with that motivates me to stay anonymous. I'm not on the government dole the way you have been your whole life. My business requires me to have customers of all political leanings.

Face Steve, folks like you are childish, vindictive and cannot be trusted to have a debate. That is why I don't even try.

I would submit that need to look into your delayed maturation and stop feeding your inner child.

    W

    ReplyDelete
  18. Sorry "W" but I have not been on the "government dole"... ever. Post all the BS claims you want, it doesn't make them true.

You also make another false claim... "It is people like you that will boycott anybody they disagree"... sorry, wrong again!

Here's one example... B&C Hardware. While I don't agree with a lot of the owners politics I have great respect for these hard working folks. I shop A LOT and B&C and I say very publically that they are a top notch business, they care about our community and they have earned my business and support time and time again. I really like B&C and I spend my money there vs. Home depo or other options.

But you just keep hiding in the bushes and keep making personal attacks and insults while you hide... no spine, no stones... at least Todd and I put our names on what we post here and what we stand for... you on the other hand... hide.

    Got it?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Not on the government dole?...name one job you've had not paid for by the government. I'm all ears.

You deny that liberal babies like to boycott when they get their fragile panties in a bunch? Deny all you want but it doesn't change the facts.

....as usual, a thread about this nations problems gets run off course by a retarded (literally) liberal. Nice work Steve.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Let's see, lets apply your above stated standards to some of your buddies:

John Spencer?... former county employee and former county supervisor. He's a double dipping, "government dole" taker. What about his long term, taxpayer funded benefits being paid to him?

Todd Juvinall, also a former county supervisor, paid by the taxpayers, got his governemnt funded benefits, just like Spencer. Todd is also a "government dole" taker under your standards.

Just keep hiding in the bushes and keep making personal attacks and insults while you hide... no spine, no stones. At least Todd and I put our names on what we post here and what we stand for... you on the other hand... just hide.

No name, no value... "Real name required thank you"

    Got it?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Steve, under your standards you were on the dole when you were on the City payroll and a Park cop then.

I know who Woodsy is so as I have said many times, he can post using his moniker. Besides, you lefties even call the FBI on people who comment as well as the IRS. Steve, how do you derive your income? Your business is kaput (if you ever really had one, where is a copy of your business license?) and you have claimed to be a cop, a planner and some other things. So, pony up, give yourself some true credibility since your claims are not provable so far. Also, do you own property here in Nevada County or the cities?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Todd.. read the above, it's Woody's stated standard, not mine. Duh!

    Got it?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Steve, you're a retarded old liberal (sorry I call it as I see it). I know many of you, many of which are my friends regardless. However, They have no knowldge of basic economics, seem to dislike this nation and therefore have a totally perverted world view.

If you had half the style and grace that Todd does you wouldn't be so pathetic sir.

    W

    ReplyDelete
  24. Style and grace? Todd? Are we talking about the same guy as Todd has the same style and grace as a bunch of baboons at a food throwing party.

"W" you seem to be verrrrrry lost!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Hey I like baboons. The reason Enos is so mad at the world is obvious, he is a liberal.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Let me see: I can use my own judgement and personal experience with Mr. Juvinall or I can take the opinion of a mentally-challenged liberal dork with no credibility.

You may disagree with Todd's politics, but to assert that he is not a good man only further serves to make virtually any opinion you have worthless.

...and you continue to avoid and divert from the main topic which seems to be a habitual problem with most retarded liberal baby boomers.

To much acid in the 60's and cocaine in the 70's maybe??

I repeat, if you had even a small amount of the same fabric that makes up Todd, you'd be well on your way to being a better person sir. You might not be a complete tool, but I'd submit that you are about 70% full-blown ass-clown.

    W

    ReplyDelete
  27. Let's see, if we apply Woody's and Todd's above stated standards and their own statements that working a government job and being paid by the government/taxpayers means one is on the "government dole"... then cops and firefighters and even those that serve in the armed forces are on the "government dole".

How sad of Todd and Woody's to make that claim.

So I was a firefighter, deputy sheriff and a federal drug enforcement officer. I put my life at risk to protect and serve others. I saved lives, I was responsible for the lives of others in some very nasty and dangerous situations.

Yes, you two are right, my pay checks did come from the government, I was paid by the taxpayers. You say that means I was on the "government dole"... fine.

Where's your respect for those that serve? Seems you have none.

    Got it?

  28. Too bad Steve that really no one in the community cares as MOST PEOPLE THINK YOU'RE A HORSES ASS!

When I spoke with my neighbors last week asking them if they knew you, they all has a look like they just bit into a lemon.

It I were you, I wouldn't be lecturing anyone in this community about anything, as across the board people don't like you - from the homeless to anyone in our community who has had to deal with you on anything.

  29. What's really comical is that Todd Juvinall and Steve Enos are probably the TWO most detested and despicable people in Nevada County. You both just proved my point in this really stupid and childish exchange. Woodsy is just a coward and a snot nosed brat raised by liberals and has a mommy and daddy problem. What a waste of time reading this drivel.

Let's see how much you're respected?

In the last 15 postings you've put on this blog site you've had how many people who actually post?

This say's everything about how much people want to be "involved" with anything you say...

Maybe it's because they know that you're a moron and don't want anything to do with you!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Hey Jenny... why not use you full, real name to post... why hide? Use your real name if you have the guts to stand behind your insults.

PS: Most all my neighbors love me, the ones that don't are the junkie drug users and drug dealers we are working to get out of our neighborhood. Are these your friends you are talking about?

    ReplyDelete
  33. The idea that Todd is one of the "most despised" people in Nevada County is complete BS.

I realize folks like EJ only know what they are told and have their opinions given to them which is sad.

In terms of Steve's post: You're right Steve, I DONT respect people that work for the government their whole lives. I find government workers to be bratty, entitled, egotistical and ignorant. I'm glad you spent your whole life bouncing from one government agency to the other. Instead of taking risk and CONTRIBUTING you chose to work for the government hegemony machine. NO I don't respect you. Take an Econ 103 class and get back to me.

    W

  34. "working to get out of the neighborhood" ??

You are a full blown ass-clown aren't you...

You would have done well in 1933 Germany Steve.

  35. So "W" posts...

"You're right Steve, I DONT respect people that work for the government their whole lives. I find government workers to be bratty, entitled, egotistical and ignorant".

Hey "W"... In the last few days two firefighters in San Francisco were killed fighting a house fire. These two were government paid, public employees you seem to hate.

"W" is proud to post he doesn't "respect people that work for the government". This is a shameful statement.

Many law enforcement officers and firefighters have giving their lives protecting others and they have my respect... too bad "W" insults them.

These two brave and selfless "government" employees died in the line of DUTY, trying to protect lives and property.

Maybe "W" should visit the family’s of these fallen hero's and the fallen police and firefighters that also gave their lives at 9/11 in service to others.

"W" posted... "I'm glad you spent your whole life bouncing from one government agency to the other. Instead of taking risk and CONTRIBUTING"

Hey "W"... I'm proud that I was a "government" firefighter, deputy sheriff and federal drug enforcement officer.

I served my community and put my life at "RISK" many times doing so. If saving lives and protecting property isn't "CONTRIBUTING" what is?

"W"... Time for you to say you are sorry to all the fallen firefighters and law enforcement officers, to the two most recent in San Francisco and those "government" employees that gave their lives in the service to others on 9/11.

May God bless and protect those that serve to protect others!

  36. BOY!!!,,this has been a fun read.As I recall, "someone" claimed to be a lot of things.
"CDF dozer boss" was one of them.( Hmmmm,, fact or fiction?)
I also have to agree with the "sour lemon" reference. I did a search of the Unions archives a while back of "you know who",, and that was quite telling. The first sentence of one story started out as " I got my first taste of ( you know who) when......well, you get the idea.
It sure has been fun rattling his chain over the past few years.
But one thing is certain. He is no friend to business around here.
Now that there is a new attack on local contractors, I can't help but wonder just which side he will be on. But I do have a good guess.

  37. Steve, spare me the running narrative about how great you and other government workers are. Most firefighters and cops choose those professions because they want job security with some added excitement. Don't try and bullshit me, my sister was a cop (now a unionized nurse)and my good friend is a firefighter. I know what motivates the majority of government workers. Your little sales pitch is pathetic sir.

The mentality of folks like you is that being a sheriff or firefighter is somehow more noble than being a business person. Your ego is bigger than your brain Steve...no wonder this nation is crumbling, we have a bunch of Steve Enos' running around thinking government workers are the bees knees and private business folks couldn't possibly understand how it really is.

    ...what a joke.

    ReplyDelete
  38. W"... Time for you to say you are sorry to all the fallen firefighters and law enforcement officers, Say sorry to the two firefighters just killed in San Francisco and those "government" employees that gave their lives in the service to others on 9/11.

It was the law enforcement officers and the firefighters that ran INTO those buildings that day as everyone else was trying to RUN OUT... that is what firefighters and law enforcement officers do... thye put the lives and safety of others before themselves and they give their lives doing so.

So cery sad that you insult and disparage these hero's, folks that gave their lives to serve and protect others.

Law enforcement officers and firefighters take the risks and contribute much to our country... sad to see you make BS claims that they don't.

May God bless and protect those that serve to protect others!

May those that have given their lives in service to others rest in peace knowning most of us respect them... unlike "W".

    Got it?

  39. Its time for me to say I'm sorry?? lol.

    You're a funny guy Steve.

I see you're convinced that I "hate" firefighters. I don't hate firefighters, I just don't put them on a pedestal in the manner that you need them to be placed as a means to deflect my legitimate criticism of folks like you that know nothing about private sector business demands. You have taken tax payer money to feed your family and have a retirement funded by tax payers; thus I don't respect you. Get a job in the private sector and then report back to me all the wonderful tenets of runaway liberalism.

I happen to have a FDNY beanie that I wear and as I stated my sister was an officer as was my uncle...so spare me the fabulous dramatics.

Maybe if I had been a sheriff and Drug enforcement officer I could have soaked the tax payers enough to fund land development and spec houses.
