Death Panels are Back!

I was listening to Mark Belling, who was sitting in for Rush, and was I shocked!  I and many other people were excoriated by the left as nuts for our exposing the death panels to the light of day.  We all said it was the "end of life" advice, mandated in Obamacare which we considered a "death panel" provision.  The left pooh poohed it but removed it from the final legislation.  Of course, no Republicans voted for the socialization of our medical system, so the left, they own this.

Anyway, I went looking for death panels and here is the link.  The link has a video clip from "Logan's Run" a great movie that has a death panel and a death chamber.  The powers in Logan's Run call the death chamber its exact opposite though, which is what a good "1984" lover of Big Brother would be oh so proud of.

We on the right want a change to how regulations are put together.  Instead of a 2,500 page bill which passes on a party line vote and states "all implementing" regulations will come later, we want the regulations to be part of the bill.  No more "we need to pass the bill to know what's in it" crap.  I have always wondered why the Legislative branches gives their power to the Executive when it comes to writing the regulations.  I have believed it was unconstitutional. Sort of like the California Coastal Commission.  A few years back it was sued because it was alleged it was an unconstitutional mix of the two branches.

Anyway, the regulators get to write their own rules!  Wow, if all life was like that, we would be in a dictatorship long ago.  So, hopefully the light of day will shine on these rules and the Republicans will try to change how this stuff is done.  Obamacare needs to be denied money and then repealed.  Leave your hands off my doctor/patient relationship!

  1. Ooops! The Obama administration is trying to quiet talk about so-called “death panels” after The New York Times reported Sunday that a new Medicare regulation includes incentives for end-of-life-care planning.

The Medicare policy will pay doctors for holding end-of-life-care discussions with patients, according to the Times. A similar provision was dropped from the new healthcare reform law after Republicans accused the administration of withholding care from the sick, elderly and disabled.

Reality is not negotiable, these are the facts, the death panels are real and your doctor will be paid for the service. Just be prepared to tell him where to stick his end of life advice. Oh god I hope it hurt when it goes in, after all it a paid government service.

  2. Russ, excellent review, you have it exactly right. The liberals were the touchy feely ones weren't they. Well, I guess death is the exception.

I love the last one which was awarded "Lie of the Year" by several agencies that check into claims by politicians.

The question that I have is how can a group of so called "intelligent people" be sold this pile of horse poop, and then think that their getting gold?

Even if they have been shown that it's horse poop, they still want it to be gold, no matter what documented proof anyone shows them.

Is it because they heard it from "accurate" resources? Maybe it's time to review that "accurate resources" group?

Especially when it's been shown to just be a outright lie that is meant to deceive them...

  4. Take off the blinders. This is being debated on every TV and radio news program as well as editorials across the country. If you don't want to believe this, fine, but as many intelligent people discuss the rule, there must be some smoke, maybe even fire. If you are so convinced this is horse poop, I would suggest you take a big shovel and follow. Americans see the Obama Administration trying to circumvent the Congress on this and many other issues. Today it is the EPA and cap and trade. I am shocked there are people such as you who are sheeple.

  5. The bottom line is that the federal government is creating laws and regulations that are none of their damn business.

Our founders warned us. Here we are.

  6. Sheeple, that's pretty funny as 3 of the 4 sources that I pointed our are groups that look thru what guys keep quoting, but they've never found anything to support your contentions. The 4th on is a site that is managed by Fox, so..?

OK, so we went from Death Panels to Cap and trade....

  7. One thing I appreciate about facts is there are so many choices sheeple can pick which ones they want to use. You cam trust the government all you want, I have no problem with you doing so. We don't trust the government because the proof which confirms our distrust is surrounding us at all times. If you are in private business and pay taxes ans fees you are an anomaly or simply a liberal.

  8. I do pay my taxes, on-time and every-time and my business is doing just fine.

I have been smarter than my competitors and reduced my workforce, thru attrition when the economic times dictated that move. That is part of that being smart, and being smart is paying my taxes!

In my business, it's either be smart or be dead!

  11. First of all Todd, I love your new look. Kudos to your web consultant, if you have one.

Second of all, there are no death panels. None. Nada. Karl Rove myth. Try again.

  13. Sorry guys, Never met Mr. Diaz or Mr. Pelline...

I'm just wondering, do you guys actually have jobs?

  14. Yeah, we have jobs, real private sector jobs. You? Probably a rent seeker aren't you?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Nope, 12 people currently employed with my firm....

Had 18 staff members 2 years ago, but in the next 6 months we are on track for hiring 3 more assemblers, and if grow continues then maybe 2 more in 2012.

What do these private sectors jobs entail? You seem to push the buttons on the keyboard more than accomplish anything productive.
