Propositions. How Did I Do?

Well, nobody can be 100% perfect but I would say I did pretty good on my recommendations for the nine propositions on the statewide California ballot.  I got seven of the nine for a 78% success rate.  I missed the mark on Props 23 and 25.  Those too defeats will have a huge impact on California and I expect many bad things to come out of those votes.  More regulation, higher energy bills and a wipe out of jobs.  But the people have spoken and they have to live with the consequences.

I once played an aide to Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes in the play, "The Magnificent Yankee" and I always remembered him being call the "Great Dissenter".  He was way ahead of his time and many of his minority opinions came true to the country's chagrin.  I feel the same way about the effort to alert people to Props 23 and 25.  California will become a third world economy with a generation and I am truly sorry to have to say that about the state I was born and raised in.

  1. I submit that because you voted for what you believe are the best/correct/appropriate choices that you were 100% perfect. Being less than successful can occur only if voting is viewed as an exercise in predicting election results. I believe our votes are much more than that.

  2. CABPRO missed on three of the six candidates it endorsed (Whitman, Fiorina and Meagher). And two of them (Logue and LaMalfa were "shoe-ins".) A 50 percent success rate, with two "shoe-ins".

  3. I am not a part of CABPRO anymore so you should probably post over there. I thought you were telling us all that our county was purple. Seems you were way off, under 50% I'd say.

  4. Did CABPRO vote you out?

  7. Geee Todd, how come you can't follow that motto on other boards?

I guess things change when you think you're in control.

  8. CABPRO was 5 of 6 in Nevada County...and Dai lost by less than 2 points. That sounds pretty good to me.

  9. Barry, you are correct. CABPRO was much more a victor than the leftwing bloggers. Also, these anonymous trolls are so gutless.

  10. Dai did pretty well!

Again, how badly did you loose by Barry and what was the reason for the 30+ point loss?

Dead people in recent elections got a better turnout, even though they were dead.....

Barry, you need to look at it this way as you only got one direction to go! UP!!!!
