Power of Darkness on "free speech"

Now why would I say that you might ask?  Well it appears we have a group of people that don't like free speech or even telling the truth.  I characterize them as "dark ages" who belong in a Duchy in 9th century France.  No one but the "master" can speak (or his designated representative).  Anyone breaking that rule is an "extremist" right wing fanatic!  I read these people all the time in the blogs and in our local publications.  Shut up and do as I say and all will be fine.  If not, you will be relegated to a level only those wascally Tea Party, Republicans or State of Jefferson people occupy.

If you protest the government overreach (on almost everything) or support some schlub in Nevada who wants to graze his cattle, or mine gold or build a home, you are not worthy to be called an American these lefty nuts scream.  If you call your self a patriot or want to salute the flag or say the Pledge of Allegiance, these lefty nuts call you an extremist!  If you say dropping the bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was the right thing to do in ending WW2 you are a war monger!  These lefty nuts are everywhere!

But unlike the lefty nuts, we on the "right" side of the political spectrum say HEY!  Let's debate the issues.  We want more speech to counter speech.  We enjoy pitting our ideas up against the lefts.  But alas, here in America where we have the right of free speech ingrained in our Constitution, the left wants you to shut up and go away.  They say it is better to lock you away, lock your words and deeds away, rather than expose people to those thoughts and deeds of freedom.  Even today UC Irvine student council voted to ban the American flag from the common area at their school.  Can't have the flag there, it might piss off the illegals! Students of good patriotic fervor though are fighting back today.

The left here in our little county is constantly whining about just about everything.  Hell they have the State Legislature by an almost a "super-majority" and every statewide elected office yet they want it all.  Nevada County is home to people who like to debate, to argue, to speak their truths, yet that does not seem to work for the nutty leftwingers.  Those people want you to shut your pie holes!  Don't say anything that we don't agree with.  Just fall into "jack boot left" and all will be good.

But nope, those people spewing "free speech" just won't listen!  My goodness, they must be Patriots?  That is not good.  Those patriots might want a strong America.  Maybe a strong military to protect us.  Perhaps those patriots would actually own a gun!  You know that piece of metal protected under the Second Amendment?  Jeeze, what a pack of patriots do we have here? 

The discussion about Terry Lamphier and his fall from grace over alleged "child porn" charges on the county computer have been a real insight into how the left thinks.  I have decided long ago to allow the system to work its wonders and I have kept from judging Lamphier.  I'll let a real judge do that.  But people are people and when there is something like Lamphier's troubles, people will talk and most people will "judge".  This leads to spirited debate on did he or didn't he.  Sometimes the debate leads to action like a new law or regulation.  But mainly these things are seen through eyes of morality and ethics.  These topics and the people involved will always be talked about.  Here in Nevada County, the Democrat Party apparatus has decided to support the case for Mr. Lamphier.

That is just fine with me.  He is their friend and confidant and they feel compelled to help him raise money for his defense.  That activity is being questioned by others and today Union columnist Georg Boardman wrote about it.  Apparently the leading democrats here are withholding the true information from those they want to get donations from.  What does this say about these democrats?  It appears to me they have made a conscious effort to withhold the reasons for the arrest because it may scare off donors.  If that is not the reason then why did they not state the charges are for "child porn"?

But the local lefty blog, Sierra Foothills Report, will have none of it.  It is worse to have an anonymous author telling the truth about the democrats fundraising than it is for the withholding of the truth by the democrat fundraisers.  Is that screwed up or what?  Boardman asked the same questions and as usual the lefty nuts of the community go ballistic and whine and complain.  I think their world is all backwards.  These lefty nuts did the same thing when Rush Limbaugh mentioned Sandra Fluke back in the 2012 election cycle.  He mentioned Fluke was testifying in Congress that it was her right to have the taxpayers pay for her contraceptives while she was going to college.

Rush said HEY!  Why should the taxpayers pay for your condoms etc. If you like to have lots of sex, you pay for your equipment. Well of course the left did not want to debate the Rush comments, they did their best to get him off the air!  Rather than debate should we pay for Sandra Flukes sexcapades, it was more important to boot the guy that asked the question.  That is what they do.  The lefty nuts can't win the debates, that is clear to me.  So, shut off the opposition.

Same with the hearing the Board of Supervisors is affording the people pushing for the State of Jefferson.  One local leftwing blogger says his objections are not the substance of the presentation but the actual presentation!  Rather than allow our elected officials the right to hear this proposal, the liberal blogger says don't even allow them in on the agenda!  Gosh, it may be taking up the valuable time of the Board he says!  Yeah, so what?  The Board represents all of us and all of us have the right to be heard.  We can petition to be heard.  My goodness do these local liberal bloggers even know what the Constitution says?  Apparently not!

I call these kinds of liberals and democrats the "power of darkness".  They want no opposition to their words, ideas and policies.  They want total control.  Even our local newspaper is attacked constantly by these liberals.  They call it the "Tea Party Gazette"!  I say that works for me.  The Union allows all comers to write.  The local bloggers from the left, especially Sierra Foothills Report, do not allow dissent.  Only left wing gibberish.  At least the right of center blogs allow all comers and that alone tells me and others who the people touting fairness really are.  You want censorship and complaints about free speech?  Then lefty blogs and publications are here for you.  You want openness and freedom of speech?  We are here for you too.  Pick your favorite!
