Diversity is not a strength, America proves that!

What is all this mumbo-jumbo about diversity we hear all the time?  I am amazed people in America trumpet the differences as some sort of cement that makes our country strong.  In fact, it does the opposite.  This view stating the differences of all those making up our America are just backward.  America, the idea and the reality are about commonality and sameness.  Sameness in the belief that our Founding documents are something of value and work for all.

The left in America and now all those race hustlers too, are trying their best to shove this fable down the throats of our country's people.  In my view,  we should all work for a similar goal.  Making the country ONE.  Not many.  But the "Balkanization" caused by interest groups is keeping America split up and at each other's throats.  Yes, we all know and most of us are saddened that we had slavery of others in our past.  We also had indentured servitude.  And over time we did away with both.  But you would think slavery is still going on according to those race hustlers like Tyson and others.  The media gives these charlatans exposure to preaching their hateful divisive words and then the mainstream media calls those critics of these race hustlers, "bigots" for speaking up against them.

We see the narrative all the time.  The NFL "kneelers" are the latest nationally.  And when people said wait a minute you guys, you are disrespecting the flag, the National Anthem and the troops, they decided to change their focus to other things.  They got spanked as did their owners.  Listening to Greg Popovich, coach os the San Antonio Spurs NBA team,  a white man, spew his "white man's guilt" the other day almost made me puke.  American fans pay him and hs players millions and yet he whined about "white privilege".  What is it about these white people making that bogus attack?  I don't understand how a colorblind set of laws has become construed as some sort of "privilege".

In my opinion,  Americans of all colors should stop the race baiting and start getting along.  And to do that,  people have to stop the finger pointing and whining.  Let's start making hay of our similarities rather than our differences.  Change the rhetoric to stop blaming others for your problems.  Accept personal responsibility.  America has morphed into the greatest place on the planet for fairness and enforcement of the LAW!  All Americans benefit.  But of course, race hustlers and gender hustlers keep the division going.  We should celebrate our luck of the draw to be born here and not in Albania or Zimbabwe.  But no, there is money to be made by the Jesse Jacksons and Al Sharptons and the George Soros types.

Education in America has been dumbed down to the lowest common denominator which then shows up in these debates about America.  The kids don't get the history or even the context of our country and it evolution.  Though the Constitution was created with some flaws, it had provisions to  fix them.  And in the Civil War, a half million Americans died to fix the last great sore of slavery.  Yet 150 years later we see these old wounds constantly reopened to allow people to claim America is somehow a bad place.  I beg to differ.  If people think they cannot live here under such a terrible set of laws and rules then try other places.  We Americans have that freedom to leave.

Locally in our little town, we saw some of the antics of fools this last week.  A young man who is black was harassed by some white men in a car on Mill Street.  He and his father and mother were rightly outraged.  So am I.  But to me, it is the action of some crumbums and not the community as a whole.  This county is 95% white and many marched in support of the family and against the antics of the fools.  To me we need to isolate the bigots and racists and kick their asses out.  There is no place for that behavior here or anywhere.  But it will happen when people have those prejudices.

I recall a trip to the State Fair back in my high school days.  I traveled there with my friend Hal.   We were walking around the grounds at  the Fair and suddenly we were surrounded by a bunch of young black males.  They were taunting us and calling us all kinds of denigrating names.  They took a stance that we took as readying themselves to pummel us.  Thankfully a Fair cop came up and he disbursed them.  We dodged a bullet.  But it remains with me what can happen when people have those "diverse" views of others.  They can be one of coming together in "sameness" or they can be a mob looking for trouble.  America needs to stop calling each other by group names.  Sure we can personally feel good about be a certain race or ethnicity or gender or whatever subgroup you want.  But in the end, for America, our strength is we are Americans first.

  1. I work for a large multi-national company. Our senior leadership is constantly advocating greater diversity as a competitive advantage. We even have a senior VP assigned to do nothing but set goals and objectives to promote greater diversity in the work force. I once asked them why we only have diversity goals in the USA (a country that already has the most diverse works force on the planet). Why aren't we setting goals for Japan, India, China, etc.... If a diverse work force is really key to winning in the market, we suck outside the USA. His response was classic "I only have responsibility for the US".

    1. It is amazing that we have people from all over the planet and therefore by default we are "diverse". The glue we all share, or did, was the Constitution and capitalism. All under attack. I wonder if there is diversity in Indonesia?

I agree with you. Unfortunately, Friday's "love walk" could have started to change some attitudes in Nevada County, but it was not very politically diverse. It would have been better if more people in the center and right had been there. From my viewpoint thee were very few of those of us on that side present.

    1. Conservatives have never been much of a marching protest group. So that would not surprise me. Did you ask all the participants their political bent? If not how do you know?

    2. A Friday "Love Walk to protest?" In my opinion "Love Walks" are useless and a waste of time, just a bunch of old freeze dried hippies of the Haight Ashburry era in the mid sixties. The black family that was harassed should have got the vehicle licence plate number, taken a picture with their cell phone and went directly to the Grass Valley Police department and filed a report. GVPD would I hope have run the plates.
It certainly is the right time of year for riff-raff to be in town as it's Pickin-Time and white trash or other colors of trash are here.
Doubt it was locals. Get rid of the "Mary Jane" farms and it lessens these problems. I'm not afraid to take punks like this to task. Obviously there people that witnessed this altercation that should have contacted the GVPD but apparently they were too busy planning their "Love March".
Send the "Love Marcher's" to North Korea for a march for "Rocket Man".

  3. Cynics want to label any gathering a political gathering as an excuse to start spouting their beliefs. I agree on the scumbag punk bullying by using racial slurs. We have so few people of color in this area I thought the gathering was more a show of support for the boy, father, and anyone else who has been harassed by local punk asses (for whatever reason). It was just as much an anti bullying rally as some sort of Black lives matter gettogether.

    3. I attended a gathering of folks last night to meet Smethers and his wife. Nice people. And some of us got into a discussion about this incident with the black kid and the rats calling hium names. It was a vivid memory of a couple of past NU footballer players about their travels to Grant. Some were afraid to exit the bus as they were surrounded and called names. Hmmm. I guess it goes both ways.

    4. Are you people up here for real? NU players were scared to get off the bus? They were surrounded and called names? Was this occurrence prior to the game?
Perhaps NU players should get off the bus and grow balls and tell the asshole's "Fuck You" we are going to kick your asses 49 to 7.
I played defensive and offensive end for Orange Coast College 1961 to 1964 and we played both ways offence and defense, no breaks and these pussies could not do that today.
We would not stand for that bullshit back then and I will not stand for it today at 74 years old today, did not take shit then or today.
These youngsters need to understand the hard asses survive and the limp dicks are walked over and that has the way it has been for thousands of years.

  5. Chris Bishop does not know how to read. I guess his comprehension levels are very low. I mentioned I met Mr. Smethers but I never said he was the one mentioning a Grant students issue. Bishop also has a bad memory as there were reported confrontations there a few years ago. Liberals only hear what they want to hear and they make up the rest. And that racist from Truckee chimed in too. What a hoot!

    1. I know Bill Smethers and he is one of the best or the best law enforcement officers I have ever met.
I personally would campaign and volunteer for free as Mr. Smethers is head and shoulders above the other candidates.
Pelline's choice is one of diversity and not the most qualified. You can tell a liberal but you cant tell them much.
I would love to debate Mr. Pelline personally, as he is assuredly a Haughty Toad.

    2. What I find most interesting about him and his three posters is they make stuff up and try and peddle it as "news". I try to weed them out and make sure the truth is written. But you can't fix stupid and now this Bishop fellow has joined the stud crew.

    3. Pelline's favorite music is the North Korean Anthem. Now why would that be? LOL!

      Delete
    4. Why would that be? Because he practices diversity or he is a communist sympathizer and wishes our country were more like North Korea or perhaps both.

    5. Well we will be occupied for the next three to four months or more by the liberals whining for gun control.
The shooting or shootings at Mandalay Bay.
A single shooter that was a nutcase, I doubt it as I don't trust the FBI and I also don't believe in the Easter Bunny either but did when I was five years old.

    6. Too true. Heidi Hall is glad that the news cycles are dominated. You would think she would take the plea and go away quietly. But no, her leach lawyer is pretending. Challenge the evidence and so on and so on. Could it be the fix is in? The DA should disclose the full blood test report for all substances. No personal responsibility makes an elected official an elitist.

    7. I actually met her a week ago at Friar Tucks. I was leaving and she was coming in. My friend introduced me to her. She looked like she saw a ghost! LOL! And she is really short! Not a big person so it would not take many shots to get giddy.

    8. Interesting the Nevada County Probation Department is in the same building. It's weight and not height that determines BAL.
I am 6'4" and 170 what is her weight, 200 lbs plus.
I guess weight can be determined by how many bar stools she was squatting on.
I am sure she was not drinking adult drinks but made up for the lack the lack there of when she got home.

Definitely a cheap date but then what, a 250 pound drunk woman? Call a cab and leave a $100 bill with the bartender for her cab fare would be an honorable way to pass the buck. The only thing worse than a drunk woman is two drunk women. Sorry I prefer to deal with neither.

    1. worked for me just fine, Todd, you must have an antiquated router and or modem or it's time to get a new computer. A new Dell laptop worked great for me but you don't need more than 4 GB Ram if you spend the $$$ for an Intel Core i7 processor your computer will fly at the speed of light and get AVAST and get the clean up tool that deletes all kinds of stuff.
Terry would be mayor today and Hillary president if they had AVAST.

    2. I learned MSDOS in the early 90's and got Window 3.1, Windows 95, 98, XL. Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and Windows 10.
If you are running XL there are no updates, 8 is junk 8.1 also is and Windows 10 is great if your processor is an Intel Core i7 7th Generation on a new computer.
My first desk top was the Packard Bell Pentium in 1996 and a Toshiba Satellite laptop both had floppy drives the Toshiba had 12 mb ram and 24 mb additional added $800 to the price of $2800 for a total price of $3600.
My laptop now a new Dell is 4 GB ram not mb not 24 mb like the old Toshiba.

Looks like you got sticky keys. Your processor needs to be an Intel i7 seventh generation as there is a big difference in performance and cost.
I don't buy HP anything as the broad that runs HP hates trump.
Dell is my first choice and an Intel Core i7 7th gen processor makes it happen. Most people scrimp on the possessor, but do not understand that's the brains of the computer. RAM only allows you to run multiple programs but the processor speed accesses your hard drive.
Doesn't matter what age your computer is and if its new with a first generation processor it's brain is not new.
