  3. Todd’s blog is increasingly pollinated with anonymous comments and personal attacks, lies and innuendo that go unmoderated. Here’s what Todd posted on his blog on Saturday afternoon, while many of us were out Christmas shopping or doing chores:

What's that....? In the distance......? The sound of a man calling his attorney. Only to be told that he's made himself a public figure! OH NOES!

Jeez jeffy.....have a little self respect.....if you want to dish it out learn to take it too!

  4. Are you "preaching the message" taught by Jesus? Or hate? Seeing the "Ghost of the Award Winning Journalist's Future" side by side with the Gospel according to Todd and the depiction of Jesus………incongruous. Search your soul, Todd.

  5. I am not surprised at the negativity of the local ‘crazy’ blogs. Their message form the beginning has been that this is “the last great century of man.”

It is a worldview that believes our best days are behind us, science is lying to us, the government is engaged in a conspiracy to enslave the people, our children are ignorant, illiterate and innumerate, ‘others’ who do not share the traditional white European Christian culture are lazy, shiftless and dangerous, all of Islam is trying to kill us, half of our population are treasonous communists, and machines are going to steal our souls.

If I believed this plethora of nonsensical bat shit crazy tripe I would be a bitter old man too!

Bitter? Who's bitter? As near as I can tell making sport over your guys terrors is the antithesis of bitter and entertaining as hell!

We should bring the economy to a halt by reducing to CO2 emission levels to that of the 5th century or we're ALL GOING TO DIE IN TEN YEARS (NO FOOLIN THIS TIME)! Some old rancher decides to put his foot down over grazing rights, a bunch of the like minded decided to join him in his protest and THEY POINTED GUNS AT GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS SO THEY ARE CRAZY OUT OF CONTROL ANTI-GOVERNMENT ANARCHISTS WHO WANT TO DEFY GOVERNMENT AUTHORITY AND PROBABLY KILL US ALL! A group of people want to carry guns in a local 4th of July parade and THIS IS NONSENSE, IN YOUR FACE, INTENTIONALLY INFLAMMATORY ACTIVISM. IT IS DESIGNED TO CREATE DISSENSION AND ALIENATION RATHER THAN CELEBRATE THE UNITY OF PURPOSE OF OUR COUNTRY IT IS ALSO A PROTEST BEGGING FOR AN UNREASONABLE REACTION…

The shit that stirs Stevie up.....well that's all completely reasonable and makes perfect sense! Anybody who wasn't concerned about those things is well....bat shit crazy or something!

Your concerns though....those are indicative of a serious and pathological mental illness and the competent authorities should be consulted immediately to respond to this imminent threat!

    Jesus.....lighten up Francis!

Cross posted at Rebanes....the cognitive dissonance in your comment is simply too entertaining not to share!

  6. I see the tax cheat from Truckee chimed in. Does he understand how no one cares what he thinks? It appears he needs to be a little more humble or he will be the laughing stock of the whole region! Keachie is just an oddball but I give him a break since it can't really be all his fault. Pelline must have thought the picture was him. It does bare a bit of resemblance. Honestly, no one in the community likes him and now he has even PO'd his sock puppet "Windy" off. The man has to be responsible for the lack of people wanting to come here. What a sad sack.

  7. The haters don't like it when they are mocked. It is easy to make fun of a thought process that would identify many of society's greatest challenges, and seemingly ignore that in fact, some of those challenges are presently occurring on some level. If Mr. Frisch would simply substitute a more honest adjective, the word SOME perhaps, his rant would be somewhat factually accurate. SOME of our children are illiterate. SOME of Islam is trying to kill us. SOME of our population are treasonous communists. For Mr. Frisch to claim that anyone believes in his extreme depiction of the situation is simply dishonest. He appears to be intelligent enough to know that what he is representing is incorrect, which simply makes him a dishonest person in this instance. One would have to wonder what he hopes to gain by being dishonest. I wonder if he has the integrity to challenge these facts, or clarify his statements?

Todd recently posted that he thought Dick Cheney was a hero. Cheney recently stated that he would torture people again (knowing that torture produces unreliable information) and that the torture of innocent people was acceptable. If this was WWII Germany, Todd would probably have been right up front pushing folks into the gas chambers and calling Adolph a hero.

    1. Well gosh. I heard the same interview and Dick Cheney never said what you just said. So you are just a liar. He did say that the "enhanced interrogation" techniques used did return info that kept America from being hit again. Those techniques, such as making the terrorist drink "Ensure" and listening to rock music did help. To my recollection not one terrorist was killed in all those terrible days after 9/11. Of course I am guessing you are a fan of Obama and his use of drones. Well so am I. But those drones have killed many people as opposed to none by Bush/Cheney. You lack of smarts is obvious.

  9. The truth is based on fact not BSDecember 21, 2014 at 9:44 AM

Let's be honest here. We have never tortured anyone in the true sense of the word. We have not physically maimed anyone. No red hot pokers, no eyes gouged out, none of that. We are simply emotionally torturing people with sleep deprivation and water boarding. We are doing these same things to many of our own troops as training. There are no permanent after effects from these techniques. And most importantly, we are doing this to a very small number of combatants we have captured who have been directly involved in killing American citizens and are plotting to kill more. We are not going to get the information we need to prevent these attacks by asking nicely. If we can prevent one American death by keeping some radical jihadist awake for 72 hours, that is a trade off we should make every time. To compare this situation to gassing Jews is simply dishonest, a tactic that some seem to use on a very regular basis. Dishonest dialogue gets us no where and is a detriment to everyone.

    1. We are not going to get the information we need to prevent these attacks by asking nicely,,,There are no permanent after effects from these techniques." -- Apparently you know very little about torture. It is common knowledge among the military/spy types that information gleaned from torture is unreliable as the victim will say anything to end the torture.
Many people who have been tortured (including John McCain) have stated that the physical pain of hot pokers etc. is far less damaging than the "torture light" techniques now in use. You can blame the enemy for the pain.. but the structure of torture light is such that the individual is led to blame themselves for their "discomfort/pain" which is far more destructive to a person's mind than their body. And while some people will say that's OK because they are the bad guys, what does torture say about our nations level of civility and humanity? We are being pulled into the gutter by propaganda, just like the Germans were. Where does it end?

      Delete
    2. Well Mr. expert on torture and confident of military/spy types, let us all hope that it does not end with any more dead Americans because we are too pussified and politically correct to do whatever it takes to prevent it. Let's make sure we are not mean to the barbarians that are cutting the heads off of our fellow citizens.

    3. Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator John McCain (R-AZ) today delivered the following statement on the floor of the U.S. Senate on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence report on CIA interrogation methods:

“Mr. President, I rise in support of the release – the long-delayed release – of the Senate Intelligence Committee’s summarized, unclassified review of the so-called ‘enhanced interrogation techniques’ that were employed by the previous administration to extract information from captured terrorists. It is a thorough and thoughtful study of practices that I believe not only failed their purpose – to secure actionable intelligence to prevent further attacks on the U.S. and our allies – but actually damaged our security interests, as well as our reputation as a force for good in the world.

“I believe the American people have a right – indeed, a responsibility – to know what was done in their name; how these practices did or did not serve our interests; and how they comported with our most important values.

“I commend Chairman Feinstein and her staff for their diligence in seeking a truthful accounting of policies I hope we will never resort to again. I thank them for persevering against persistent opposition from many members of the intelligence community, from officials in two administrations, and from some of our colleagues.

“The truth is sometimes a hard pill to swallow. It sometimes causes us difficulties at home and abroad. It is sometimes used by our enemies in attempts to hurt us. But the American people are entitled to it, nonetheless.

“They must know when the values that define our nation are intentionally disregarded by our security policies, even those policies that are conducted in secret. They must be able to make informed judgments about whether those policies and the personnel who supported them were justified in compromising our values; whether they served a greater good; or whether, as I believe, they stained our national honor, did much harm and little practical good.

    4. I am going to respectfully disagree with you and McCain. The heads of our agencies have universally said that witnesses who were interogated with these coercive methods (not torture) gave up information that directly led us to Bin Laden. So they obviously worked.

Of course, "The heads of our agencies have universally said that witnesses who were interogated with these coercive methods (not torture) gave up information that directly led us to Bin Laden. So they obviously worked." They have to not only justify their inhumanity to themselves, but they need an argument to try and keep from being tried in at the world court for crimes against humanity.

    11. Here we have the essence of the divide in our country. "Anonymous" above, would allow the barbarians who have beheaded our fellow citizens, and sworn to fly their flag above the White House, apparent freedom to continue their reign of terror against us, because we don't want to hurt their feelings. I, and fortunately a significant percentage of our fellow citizens, would advocate killing every last one of the barbarians first, if it would save the life of "Anonymous" or his family. Thank God the pussification of America only affects the weak and timid. When your "negotiations" with the barbarians fails, your family will have an alternative that is better than the fate that is currently visited on the women and children falling prey to the scourge of terrorism worldwide.

      Delete
    12. Wake Up Dude, you have it right. But hey the ISIL fellows will give the wimps a alternative. Change to Islam. Or, watch us chop your head off. I think they will cave and become a Muslim.

    13. Terrorist attacks aren't about warfare, they are about fear. Based on what I read here, the terrorists have already won. They have us so afraid that we will stoop to their level of barbarism to combat them. That was their goal in the first place. The 911 attacks have been widely successful at changing our way of life from a democracy to a virtual police state. Do you seriously think Isil or someone similar is going to invade the US? How many millions of troops is that going to take? Are they going to parachute into America, arrive via submarine, come over in droves of fishing boats? Get a grip.

I'm sorry Anon, but I simply have to call out a dumbass when I see one. They are already here, flooding across our Southern border every day so you and your fellow dumbass libs can get a few extra votes. Get a grip indeed! Ever hear of 9/11? Ever hear of Ft Hood massacre? The shoe bomber? Are you seriously so foolish that you don't think terrorism can't happen again under your silly nose? Will it take a car bomb in San Francisco while your wife is there shopping to wake you up? Do you not believe that these people are killing women and children every day, and will keep attempting to do it to us? You are a fool if you believe it cannot happen AGAIN right here in the good old USA. The pussification of America is affecting our brains as well as our guts.

    15. Anon, do you seriously think the 9/11 terrorists came here on a submarine? Your suggestion that the terrorists who have sworn to fly their flag over the White House, have no ability to inflict more terror on American citizens is naive at best.

    16. "They are already here, flooding across our Southern border every day" -- just like the commies in the fifties. Remember the McCarthy hearings, a commie under every leaf.

"Your suggestion that the terrorists who have sworn to fly their flag over the White House, have no ability to inflict more terror on American citizens is naive at best."

No that is not the suggestion. We all know that groups of crazies are out there, however, the idea that islamic terrorists will "fly their flag over the White House" is the same lame argument put forth in the 50's about the commies but is even more absurd. You people are scared to death of a minimal risk. More people die from prescription pain killers or auto accidents in America every year than die from terrorism. Get real!

Dear Anon, just how many of your fellow American citizens should die of terrorist attacks before it becomes unacceptable to you?

    18. You are correct Anon, the terrorists have already won by making people like Todd spout this stuff. The thing they want us to do is overreact, destroy our Constitution and freedoms, sew strife in our own country, and live in fear. Todd and his ilk are the ultimate fear mongers, and as such they are the cowardly tools of Al Qaeda, ISIL and radical Islamic terrorists.

    22. Wondering if We Can Agree on SomethingDecember 21, 2014 at 6:50 PM

Anon, that is not true and I think you know it. Could we find some common ground in this statement? "There is still a very real threat of terrorism in America. Yes, that has changed our lives for the worst. Yes, that has lessened our freedom, but a continuing threat of varying degrees does exist. The price of freedom is vigilance, and sticking our heads in the sand, or blaming our fellow Americans, is not going to prevent an attack." Could we agree on this?

      Delete
    23. Anon, your 6:44. None. I am not willing to give up a single right. That is why I want to use every tool at our disposal to put an end to all of this, while you will let terrorism continue so we don't hurt their feelings.

      Delete
    24. I am not willing to give up a single right.-- Too late. Every phone call you make and every webpage you visit is already being monitored. Every person who flies has to go through x-rays (which is annoying except for Todd who stuffs a salami in his pants before flying to impress the TSA chicks) because one person one time had a shoe bomb. If our security agencies would cease their stupid turf wars and do (or in the case of 911 done) their jobs like our tax dollars pay for, none of this would have happened.

  10. Windy says:

    December 21, 2014 at 8:37 am

The right’s SF values argument intrigues me. The right never says what those are and why they are bad. They use the Reagan strategy to say something in a way that implies bad. It works on ignorant people for sure. San Francisco is a stellar example of free market capitalism and social responsibility and sustainability, community planning and advancement of the arts. California was made because of San Francisco. There are several books and documentaries on the history and contributions of San Francisco. Grass Valley Nevada City wouldn’t be what they are without influences through and from San Francisco.
If Nevada County took a census on where folks came from they’d be surprised how often San Francisco and the Bay Area will come up.
My grandparents left Chicago and settled in San Francisco. Grandpa was the manager at Bernstein’s Fish Grotto and Grandma settled the family in Santa Rosa where she bought land at Todd and Stony Point Rd and ran a chicken ranch and took in boarders. Their generation built the Golden Gate Bridge, grew marijuana in the garden with the tomatoes, and brought in the 20th century! OPPPS. That’s why the right hates SF so much. They prefer fantasies of the Dark Ages.

Well “Windy”…the right didn’t make the argument…..jeffy did! Since he never defines what they are and only uses the term when something vaguely good happens that is associated with San Francisco no real discussion is possible! We don’t claim that they are “bad” only that until you properly define them they don’t exist. You at least have attempted to define what you think these values are….. San Francisco is a stellar example of free market capitalism and social responsibility and sustainability, community planning and advancement of the arts. jeffy thought that Travis Ishikawa hitting the game winning home run against the Cardinals was an example of San Francisco Values….this was indeed laudable achievement but hardly an example of a “value”.

But then again since jeffy is a simpering idiot this mis-characterization isn’t surprising.
