Democrats cleaned out of the South

Who would have thought that the so-called "southern strategy" of Richard Nixon would come to pass?  It appears it has.  With defeat of Mary Landrieu in Louisiana yesterday democrats have been banished from most offices south of the Mason Dixon line.  For me this is a real victory for race relations in our country.

As we all remember, the democrats had a lock on the South since the Civil War.  They were in charge at all levels of government and policing in the old South.  I remember the democrats had "poll" taxes, KKK and all other forms of intimidation of the blacks.  It was not until President Dwight Eisenhower sent in the National Guard to escort black high school kids to class that we finally saw a rip in the seams of democrat racial hegemony.

The Republican Party was formed to get rid of slavery and Abraham Lincoln was the first Republican President in 1861.  Of course the democrats seceded from the Union and the Civil War began but the Republicans held strong to keep the Union together.  A half million men died during the war to "free the slaves".  Lincoln passed the Emancipation Proclamation during the War which freed the slaves from "legal" bondage.  After the war was over the democrats formed the KKK to kill and intimidate blacks and their supporters.

In the 1960's America was rocked by more democrats in the South trying to maintain their power over the blacks and as a result, people like the great Martin Luther King Jr., a Republican, traveled throughout the South preaching equality and non violence.  The white democrats though would not agree and for many years in the 60's a lot of violence was perpetrated by these white democrats.  They even banded together to support the Presidential candidate George Wallace. He was a white segregationist democrat who decided he would take his message of hate to the White House. He failed.

Richard Nixon's campaign came to the South to try and get people top boot out those racist democrats and vote for a Republican.  Many did and he was elected twice.  Over the years I have watched as more and more Republicans defeated the racist democrats at all levels of government in the South.  Yesterday was the "cherry on the top"!  Now the party that freed the slaves and has fought for the equality of all Americans has control of those once, democrat racist" states.  I am proud of the people of the South for finally ridding themselves of the vermin racists.  Now we must do our best to teach the people of the country that Republicans are all about individual freedom and equal opportunity.  It is a message all Americans will understand as time goes by.  Hopefully the democrats will be relegated to the back bench for many years to come.

  1. Scoop! Angry crowd beats local blogger with frying pans! When asked why, one of the participants answered, "I washed my pan and was trying to dry it and he got in the way. Plus, he is such a dick, it seemed like it would be good for everybody." The blogger had no comment, but threatened to expose any typographical errors he found in the story. See NC Scooper for complete details on this story.

  3. Supper scoop!

FUE rants about The Union making any type of typo or mistake. He's obsessed and it's petty, small and childish. His ultra lib posters on his blog know it but don't raise the FUE's childish obsession ranting against The Union.

Seems the FUE makes mistakes too. Here's one posted on his blog. How long before he corrects it?

"Christmas came early in our household. After my wife woke up and complained about a showering in frigid water on Tuesday morning, we discovered our hot water heater had failed"

OOOOPS! "complained about a showering in frigid water" you say?

The FUE's a real "award winning" guy! LOL. LOL. LOL

    1. On another blog the FUE claims his magazine is doing fine and he defends the technique of charging people to do articles about their buz. He says that is the same way the Union does it. Now I find that interesting for the hypocrisy alone.

Word on the street is the magazine is in deep trouble.

    2. FUE update:

"Christmas came early in our household. After my wife woke up and complained about showering in frigid water on Tuesday morning, we discovered our hot water heater had failed".

The FUE's first story contained the writing error provided in the above post, it's now corrected AFTER it was reported here!. Now the FUE's post is corrected, but the FUE failed to note his mistake and his after the fact correction. Sorry big boy, you made a mistake and corrected it after it was noted here.

This super sized FUE child looks for any misspelling or the smallest mistake in The Union's writing makes mistakes too. But the FUE ignores this truth. The FUE tosses endless childish rants about The Union but he lives in a class house, I only hope he has good curtains so no one has to look at him headed for the shower. LOL, LOL, LOL!

    3. Goodness the visual you provided about the shower gives my a feeling of throwup. LOL! Only his alter ego Annie Fannie appreciates that visual. Anyway, regarding spelling errors. I am the last person to be anal about them since I am a crummy spell checker myself. So I don't point them out even when an award winning journalist makes them.

  5. Todd, that was either Annie, Windy, or Gloria Zane, the multiple personality, gender confused blogger who must have awakened from her frying pan beating to pay you a visit. How nice that he/she is recovering and back to their old selves. If you think the rag mag is going down hard, wait until the website deal is over. They will be back to Berkeley by this time next year! LOL!

    3. Man it's creepy when he has conversations with his sock puppets. Sounds like my four year old when she used to talk to her dolls.....and then talk back for them. Of course she was four, and eventually outgrew it. Maybe there is still hope for our little jeffy!

    4. fish, I am not optimistic he will outgrow his little "tea parties" on the back porch with his "friends". It is truly showing how odd some people really are. Maybe city life required a "invisible" friend to maje the days pass? Anyway, he and Annie Fannie are a match! And as always, LOL!

    1. It appears Pelline is getting chastised by his one regular commenter that he and Annis need to take a break from talking about me. I don't think there would be any traffic on his blog if he did that though. Then the bigboy responds by telling his one commenter that I was educated in schools of the western county. My goodness, the man is a loon! What a hoot!

I’m not going to Todd’s blog so I really don’t care what he posts. This thread seems to take away from the intellectual discussion I admire of this blog. Let those guy’s go.

I want to listen in and see what qualifies!

  16. OMG! You just can't make this stuff up! ROFLMBFAO! I will, from time to time, when the notion strikes me, include a subtle typographical error carefully woven into my award winning journalism writing. I do this on purpose to help educate my readers and provide another intellectual challenge for them. I am certain that SFGate.com has adopted this educational tool of mine in their own stories.

    1. Simple, the FUE is a stalker.

The FUE "researches" those he doesn't like and then tries to bully them on line. Add this to the FUE's endless, childish attacks on The Union newspaper. This FUE behavior is not supported by his blog readers, but they seldom comment on this childish behavior because the FUE attacks them within minutes of posting any comment that he doesn't agree with.

    4. Barry, absolutely I am obsessed with you! I am obsessed with everyone who has a real life, a real family, and real friends who really like and support them. All I have is a pathetic little blog, Bruiser, Mini Me, Annie, Windy and Gloria. How do you think that feels? I have no commenters on my blog except for my transgender sock puppets. Bruiser and Mini Me really despise me because I am such a pathetic loser, and I hate myself and the life I have made because no one likes me or respects me. You are everything I am not, and have everything I wish for, so I stalk you to see what you are doing so I can live through your success. Same with Todd. I envy everything about him so I stalk him and insult him, all the while wishing I was him! I don't know if I can take it much longer. I am thinking about taking a case of 40's, a shitload of chili fries, and scarfin' til I pop! Is it OK if I call a 40 a pint? It sounds so much more cosmopolitan. I am such a cosmo kind of guy! ROFLMBFDAO!

  19. OT - But since every time I attempt to post using Full Name and correct e-mail address...the only stated requirement for posting in your catbox you moderate....I'll post it here since I know you lurk.

It must have been Todd, “fish” and Barry! BTW, I notice they’ve been awfully quiet about The Union moving its printing “off the hill,” potentially impacting local jobs. Facebook, however, is all “lit up.”

What would you have me say? Other than to express sympathies for those who will lose their jobs. The Union made a business decision to attempt to stay viable....they'll probably fail! There I said something!

Facebook....See I knew that under all that skin beat the heart of a fifteen year old girl!
