Pelline is at it again, political hypocrisy galore!

I was directed to the Pelline blog as a friend said he was endorsing the candidacy of a recent arrival, Jim Firth, for City Council.  I was curious since Pelline rails against any hint of an endorsement by conservatives, Republicans or PAC's of a righty candidate.  How could the man be that phony I thought.  Well, he does his endorsements in the usual weaselly media way by omission.  Omission of the opponents endorsements and the placement of those he favors.  I have seen this many times.  It must be a class taught in those "liberal arts" colleges that churn out all those like-minded liberal media types.

Of course Pelline can do whatever he wants and endorse whomever he wants and I do too.  But I try not to be so delusional as he appears when it comes to "standards" in reporting such things as endorsements of candidates..  We on the right get an earful by the fellow for simply being conservative.  We have some standards that we consider very important and try our best to be ethical and consistent.  Even when no one is looking.  But Pelline has no standards that appear to be fair and balanced in his "reporting".  Usually he is trashing the people on the right and doing so for every "transgression" from what he considers "fair".  Remember the MILLER campaign sign on a private building that also had a tenant called the Chamber of Commerce?  My goodness you would think it gave Pelline hemorrhoids!  Now he criticizes the "casino" night put together for a fundraiser in Grass Valley.

Most of the time we in the community concerned about the important issues just blow by the little things like endorsements because they actually can cut both ways and we know it.  We are concerned that people like Pelline actually harm the reputation of our communities by sitting in the weeds full of nothingness he likes.  He criticizes everyone except those he likes and they always appear to be liberals.  He tosses in  a Nate Beason once in a while to show us all how "purple" he is but we know it is not really heartfelt.  He is more comfortable praising the likes of Reinette Senum and Steve Frisch, both lefty rent seekers in our county.

YUBANET, a local "news" type blog that is considered lefty is constantly cited as are the Sacramento Bee and the SF Chronicle.  All lefty publications.  When he uses something from the right side of media it is usually for criticism and ridicule.  So when we see a story with criticism of a Firth or other liberal we all know what the scoop is.  Pelline is simply a political hypocrite and all his frothing at the mouth about endorsements of local candidates is hot air.  In our county it was the democrats who started the endorsements years ago yet Pelline never says anything negative about them.  They endorse and they bring in PAC money for local democrats and not a peep from Pelline.

When I was the Chairman of the Nevada County Republican Central Committee (1995-99), we had to meet the democrats endorsements with our own or be outplayed.  So we started endorsing as well. Over time our efforts were much more successful since the people we were endorsing actually were qualified to lead.  The democrats usually endorse people like Firth, Martin and Conklin and we see what that usually brings our county.  More government, less freedom and anti property rights and the people reject that most of the time.  Sure, some of the liberals make a term but by the end of their first term the people figure out they were fooled and boot them.  Of course there are always exceptions but for the most part a endorsement by the local democrats is a political death knell.  Opposite for conservatives.

So with a couple of months left till election day, we will see a fawning story and comments from Pelline and his ilk for all that is lefty.  Fortunately for the community, most have figured him and his philosophy out and reject it.  As shown by the low numbers of readers of his blog it appears to me he is whistling in the wind.  Keep whistling Pelline and try to stay in tune.

  1. So true Todd. Thanks for the memories. I even remember the League of Women Voters endorsing Dem candidates etc until they realized they weren't supposed to and stopped doing it. It's interesting that Mr. Pelline goes on and on beating up on those he disagrees with. Pretty obvious what he's aligned with. Anyway, to each his/her own. It's wonderful to enjoy free speech and choice without having someone dictating how we should think. Thanks again Todd. BMW

  2. This is amazing! Does Mr. Pelline notice what he writes? He seems to disconnect regarding the contents of what he writes today compared with what he wrote yesterday. Everyone who doesn't agree with him and the Democrats are "hard right," and bad guys. He's moderate middle of the road, but never says anything bad about the "hard left" Democrats....but applauds them. This double standard is becoming more and more obvious to anyone paying attention who really cares about truth and the well being go America. BMW

  4. How will the FUE address a little history lesson about candidate Jim Firth and his failed 2012 run for Grass valley City Council?

Let's review some of candidates Fiirth's funding for that 2012 campaign, including PAC money!

The FUE rants about PAC money for any candidate that's not a card carrying, designated "progressive lefty". The FUE even tried to sling mud on Grass Valley Council Candidate Jerri Glover for making a campaign statement to NOT take any PAC money:

    http://sierrafoothillsreport.com/2014/08/21/gv-council-candidate-glover-altruistic-or-political-to-shun-pacs/

So who helped fund candidate Firth's failed 2012 Grass Valley City Council campaign? Could that be union PACS?:

    https://2012nevadacounty.wordpress.com/2012/10/26/local-democratic-political-incest/

According to Frith’s Form 460, filed on October 25, it lists a $1,000 contribution to his campaign from the Democratic Party made on October 19, 2012.

Also, Firth’s Form 460, filed on October 5, 2012, lists a $1,000 contribution to his campaign from the Laborers Local 185 PAC. Who is this PAC? It is the Construction and General Laborers Local 185, located at 1320 National Drive, Sacramento, CA, 95834. Union owned?

His Purpleness recently made a big fuss about Measure N having literature printed and mail by firms out side of Nevada County. I wonder if he will make a big deal about Firth spending $1,448.61 at Auburn Printers, 13020 Earhart Avenue, Auburn, CA. While this is a company owned by Nevada County residence, the tax money on these expenditures went “down the hill” to Placer County. Economically insensitive?

  6. Seems Mr. Middle of the Road has failed to blog about this:

Lois Lerner’s BlackBerry was intentionally destroyed after Congress had begun its probe into IRS targeting of conservative groups, a senior IRS lawyer acknowledged in a sworn declaration.

Thomas Kane, Deputy Assistant Chief Counsel for the IRS, wrote in the declaration, part of a lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch against the IRS, that the BlackBerry was "removed or wiped clean of any sensitive or proprietary information and removed as scrap for disposal in June 2012."

That date - June 2012 - is significant because by that time, ex-IRS official Lerner had already been summoned before congressional staffers who interviewed her about reports of the IRS' targeting of conservative groups.

"We had already talked to her. Our personal staff and Oversight Committee staff had sat down with Ms. Lerner and confronted her about information we were getting from conservative groups in the state of Ohio and around the country," Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio stated.

"If you intentionally destroy evidence, that is a crime. If you make a statement in court saying the evidence is not available and it is, that is also a crime," said Jay Sekulow, Chief Counsel for the American Center for Law and Justice.

Regarding Ackerman. Pelline does seem to be obsessed with him. He links to JA's columns in his Oregon paper and then ridicules him. JA does not have to pay rent for being an occupant in Pelline's noggin. Pelline in my view is a marginal character here in Nevada County. We gave him the benefit of the doubt as we do all who come here and he turned on us all. Now we could care less and the three or four commenters on his blog are mirror images of his leftwing ideology so they are unimportant as well. He uses a saying about big fish in little seas all the time, or something like that. I would suggest he moved to the little sea and wants to be the big fish but no one is listening. So, he became a troublesome shark and now all he gets is derision except for his three pals. If he wants to be a happy man all he needs to do is take a 12 step course on "kindness". Then he would see hois world open up and maybe then people might start liking him. Otherwise, he will be the butt of many jokes here in the "little sea".

  23. Ok everyone, this is way overdue. Maybe with this confession and apology we can clear all of this up and start to get along better and be like real neighbors. This is going to be painful for me but here it goes.
I was bullied as a child because I was chubby. This made me insecure and bitter. It got worse as I got older because I ate when I was unhappy, and I started to get really big. Do you have any idea how it feels to be as big as I am? It completely sucks. I haven't seen my feet in years. I moved to Nevada County to get a new start and new friends. Ackerman gave me a job and was so good to me. I can believe how horrible I have been to him. I am embarrassed about my behavior and hope that he will forgive me. He did have to let me go for mostly financial reasons, but also because my behavior towards the employees had become so bad that no one could work with me. After the split I became so angry about the situation that I decided to start a blog to really lash out at everyone who disagreed with me. You all know who those people are, and frankly at this point it is nearly everyone. Even the people who started off as friends have abandoned me because of my horrible behavior. I can't believe what a nasty rotten person I have been, and have become.
So, to everyone in Nevada County, please accept me deepest heartfelt apology for my past behavior. I am, as of this moment, turning over a new leaf and will become a new person. A person that everyone will be proud to call a friend. Thank you for your patience and understanding. The TRUE FUE. No lol on this.

  28. I see that the self righteous hypocrite known as FUE has again declared the people should debate the issues, not resort to personal attacks. Pretty humorous when you read anything he writes is nothing but personal attacks on anyone he disagrees with. He also like to repeat his mantra, "the politics are ugly because the stakes are so small." He is not smart enough to understand that the stakes are only small for him because he has no investment in our community. The rest of us have invested everything, for generations. And he will never win his struggle to remake Nevada into Berkeley East because he is not invested and has nothing to lose. Thousands of us are invested and have everything to lose. He and Jim Firth do not have a fraction of the necessary votes or financial resources to bring about his desired makeover. New neighbors are welcome, and embraced. Dissatisfied agitators are not. And yes, everyone has a right to be, and believe they way they chose. Just don't be so indignant when you meet really stiff resistance to becoming what you demand.

  39. The Massive Narcissistic FUE (MNFUE) rants and attacks The Union newspaper and anything in it that HE does not agree. The MNFUE says he won't subscribe to The Union until they "clean up their act" and do what HE says. Maybe this type of narcissistic childish ranting is why the MNFUE is no longer employed by The Union newspaper.

So the MNFUE hates The Union newspaper, he continually attacks, blogs, rants and stomps his feet like a child about The Union and what they put in their newspaper. So why does the MNFUE read The Union?

Since the MNFUE hates The Union so much why does he read it and why does he post about it endlessly? Seems the MNFUE is obsessed with The Union, his former employer. The MNFUE should simply ignore The Union newspaper vs. blogging about it every 15 seconds.

Bob Crabb's Cartman cartoon is spot on, it exposes what the MNFUE is really about.

  43. Pelline is clueless! The BF-FUE posts:

Editor’s note: Our western county has become much like Calaveras County — in its politics and culture, including its gun culture — so I noted this:

“Two Calaveras High School students were arrested Friday after carrying a loaded gun onto a school bus, the district and the sheriff said Friday,” KCRA is reporting.

If The FUE had any facts he would know the majority of the guns on the street in our community are mostly teens and 20-30 year olds that have stolen guns. The real "gun culture" of this is thieving junkies, gagster wana be's. major 420 and drug users and sellers. The FUE needs to spend some time getting informed on the facts and groups like the Juggalo Family, do some research on Facebook for some insight BF-FUE, get some facts from local law enforcement.

And the FUE that moved here from down south talks BS about what he thinks is "western Nevada County politics and culture, including its gun culture". No BF-FUE it's about southern California inspired thieving junkies, gagster wana be's and major 420 and drug users and sellers, not our historical, multi-generational ranchers, farmers, hunters, red neck 4x4 country good old boys.

Maybe some facts would placate his concerns. Hell, I have never owned a gun so I guess he must be talking aboyt "dirtmover"? LOL!

Won't even waste the time to list all the good and useful reasons to have a K-9, which include a number of safety benefits to Officers, citizens and also to offenders.

The dingle berries talk BS that it's about using the K-9 to make drug busts for the forfeiture money.

A K-9 is about the best, most effective, low cost and time proven law enforcement tool available. K-9's also have a long history of heroic military and combat service. Maybe the BF-FUE and his dingle berry Klingon's will talk with a K-9 Officer and meet his four legged partner and get a clue about what they are talking about.

Here's a news flash for the Super Sized FUE, Truckee's economy is based on well to do second home owners and bay area visitors with money. Truckee is a resort, second home economy, with a lot of low paying service jobs and high housing and high living costs.

Truckee is an artificial town of mostly well off, second home owners. This includes the FUE and his vacation home in Tahoe City.

The economy in Truckee is based on well to do second home owners from the bay area and outdoor recreation tourism. 54. NEWS FLASH SCOOP!

Looks like the FUE missed this one. Will the FUE cover this arrest?

Check out who was just arrested for growing pot and obstructing and resisting a law enforcement officer at 16730 Brewer Road, it's BRADLEY THEODORE PECEIMER!

Isn't this Brad the underground house guy and one the FUE's biggest lefty blog ranters? I think he has even blogged on Rebane's blog too.

    https://www.facebook.com/brad.peceimerglasse?fref=nf

Seems Brad is an ASA pot growing leader:

    http://www.theunion.com/opinion/columns/6607996-113/pot-asa-kids-care

"Then we have Brad Peceimer-Glasse, the guy identified in The Union article as running the ASA’s so-called scientific survey, showing up in Alta Sierra trying to disrupt a meeting and then complaining that a deputy was there to keep a lid on things. If the deputy were not there, things would have gotten out of hand again. They vilify the sheriff; we thank him. I would point out that this individual, when talking about the ASA survey on a possible ballot prop in Nevada County, said they follow scientific procedures, yet then says they show up on a street corner unannounced. Showing up on a street corner in front of a head shop is hardly a “scientific” sampling".

    Check this:

"ASA-NC has conducted a massive phone survey to assess the public's feelings toward cannabis cultivation in Nevada County. Preliminary results indicate support for the group's activities is topping 70%, according to Brad Peceimer-Glass who is tabulating the data. "We are getting support from people who are young and old, Democrats and Republicans, HOA members and renters," according to Peceimer-Glass".

    http://yubanet.com/regional/Medical-Marijuana-Advocate-arrested.php#.VBDp_2d0yMY

ALTA SIERRA, Calif. September 10, 2014 - Nevada County Sheriff's officers served a search warrant on the home of Brad Peceimer-Glasse this morning. Peceimer-Glasse is a well-known medical marijuana activist and involved in the campaign for Measure S - a voter initiative to rewrite the current medical marijuana cultivation ordinance in Nevada County.

According to a statement by Sheriff Royal to KNCO earlier today, narcotics officers discovered 200 clones in an indoor cultivation at the Brewer Road residence and 21 plants outside. Additionally, officers also raided at property belonging to Peceimer in North San Juan where they discovered an additional 48 plants.

Attorney Stephen Munkelt, who is representing Peceimer-Glasse, told YubaNet that "contrary to the charges listed, Mr. Peceimer has a completely lawful cultivation."

Peceimer was arrested at his home on Brewer Road and has been booked at the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility. Munkelt said he Has attempted to contact the District Attorney's office to have Peceimer released on his own recognizance today, but his calls to the DA's office have not been returned.

Added Munkelt,"We certainly hope Mr. Peceimer has not been targeted by Nevada County for his work on Measure S and his outspoken comments in favor of medical marijuana."

Peceimer was booked on charges of marijuana cultivation and for resisting or obstructing a public officer. These are only preliminary charges. As of publication time, the District Attorney's office has not filed any charges.

Pro Measure S signs are being posted on pubic and private property WITHOUT permission from the land and business owners. Maybe this is why some Measure S signs are missing?

The FUE needs to review the campaign sign laws for the County and the Cities and look around town a bit to see the truth.

If the Yes on Measure S folks refuse to follow the campaign sign laws, if they fail to observe the property rights were they are putting up signs without permission how do we expect them to follow the MJ grow laws if changed?

Hey FUE, look into this, review the laws, check the illegally placed Measure S signs all over the place, talk to the Measure S folks and then do a story about the TRUTH!

  62. Pelline is posting that the MJ growers in our County should be a low priority. Pelline posts it's harmless, no big deal. Pelline directs the NCSO to stop busting grows and focus on closing down homeless camps and busting meth. Pelline is clueless.

Pelline forgot to tell NCSO to focus on the real, big and growing problem we have with heroin use. It has taken over here and across the USA. The reasons for this is the crack down on meth and opiate based prescription drugs and the ingredients. Pelline needs to get informed. The grows being busted are non-compliant, large, commercial grows. Hard drugs, guns, violence and convicted felons are a big part of these grows.

A big part of all the "medicine" being grown here is headed south and east, all the way to the east coast. It's mostly commercial grows and illegal transportation across state lines. It's multi-State and Federal felonies for big bucks, a second home in Costa Rica for the winter and rolls of $100.00 bills to spend in Briar Patch for $10.00 a pound organic produce and groovy vegan takeout meals after yoga class. The issue isn't about some sickly little old lady that is restricted from growing her own medicine.

Here's a great example of what the Sheriff and NCSO is going after. The link takes you to the NCSO Jail booking website. Read it each day, check out who is getting arrested for what and where. It makes the reality clear about our community drug culture. If you read the daily jail/arrest each day for a month you will gain a lot of data, information and insight. The daily arrest/booking info is worth reading and sharing. It's not opinion, it's public record, it paints the picture.

    Check this:

Read the arrest and charges for a NSJ "medicine" grower, his name is DAVID ALLEN ROPER. A grower, a convicted felon, on probation, with a firearm and hard drugs.

Oh, it gets even better, way better. The unemployed one, who is so envious of anyone who works for his former employer that he is obsessed with every move, is now claiming that newspapers and the publishing business, are a dying industry. This is after he crows about a nearby small publication that gained an award from his butt buddy Frisch. A classic case of "newspapers suck and are dying, except for the ones that print what I like." The very best part of this is the very passionate editorial that His Immenseness wrote detailing the incredible future of newspapers in general, and The Union in particular. This fairly well written piece was published in The Union on January 10, 2009, approximately 30 days before he "resigned" as the editor. His attitude did an abrupt about face driven by his employment status. A link to the past is at http://www.theunion.com-editorials-columns-columns-opinionivg. I agree that a leopard doesn't change its spots but after seeing Izzy Martin win by portraying herslf as a property rights advocate even though she was anything but, I am always nervous about the vote. I would suggest you get out there and help the people running who are your candidates so that the voters know what you know.

  75. Wake up fools, I'm the might FUE! I always need to have the last word, if you dare post a comment that doesn't agree with me 100% I need to post and respond how wrong you are for not being in 100% agreement with my dictates.

And as you know I HATE The Union newspaper, my former employer. But for some reason I keep reading The Union and posting their stories on my super duper blog site.

I'm The FUE and I have spoken!

    1. Are you trying to FUEl me? Stop it now! I do see that he is obsessed on a daily basis with his criticizing the Union. His blog's five readers will tire soon and he will be talking to himself again. Too funny!

    2. Here we go again. There is only one FUE, and it is I, the TRUE FUE. Only I wear 5XL shirts, hate good old boys, and poop purple. We all know why I no longer work at The Union, but because I am such a punk, I will whine and threaten to call the Sheriff if you are mean to me and talk about why I am unemployed. I am...The Most Despised Man... Anywhere. Now go away so I can finish my chili fries and stare in the mirror at my awesome self! LOL
