56% oppose and 41% in favor, CNN Poll on Obamacare

Just saw this on RCP.  Not a person who agrees with many polls, check this one out and read the underlying questions.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/obama_and_democrats_health_care_plan-1130.html

Here is the underlying poll results, 13 pages.

If you read the whole poll you will get treated to the bias against Republicans.  The question on ObamaCare was not skewed left but all the rest are.  The poll asks if the House or Obama are doing a better job (guess).  No question if the democrat Senate is.  Same for a question on should Boehner go as Speaker but nothing on Reid.  So, they cherry pick their way and I will cherry pick my way.  The people don't want ObamaCare and the House will stay Republican.  Maybe we will gain the Senate and then the people will have the last word.

  1. Your analysis of polls continues to amuse us. So, the single, solitary poll you like is not skewed, but all the rest are. What a coincidence!

    2. Conservatives are always whining and crying about the polls and bias. Wa wa wa. Ironic since they fancy themselves the embodiment of Reagan, the cowboy on horseback.

Unfortunately, they can't perform on the big, national stage and cannot attract the majority of Americans- the great Center, because they're being led around by insane zealots like Ted Cruz.
As Messrs. McCain, Graham and King would say- you boys are on a perpetual suicide mission.

    3. Pete you have it backwards. We hold the House, we are within 4 of the Senate and we have the majority of Governors and legislatures. Try harder.

  2. Skewed polls are nothing new. I suspect that disapproving polls concerning Obamacare are on the rise. Obamacare, like other entitlements, are debt drivers that need to be reformed. A balanced budget requires addressing entitlements and debt. Obama will resist this until the end. The only way to get true fiscal reform is to elect conservatives at all levels of government.

    1. Or the country could do what the California legislators and Governor do and that is make it up. They just say we have a balanced budget here and move on to pass and spend the imaginary money.

  3. Following CA's lead in debt reduction would actually be a great start. A combination of revenues (yes, taxes) and cutting spending on wasteful/duplicate programs. All for it.

    1. And how do you suggest we pay for the 150 billion in unfunded mandates in California?

    2. Topic=Federal budget.

Cutting debt in Washington requires a combo of taxes and cuts. Cannot do it with cuts only, as everyone with a brain who has seen the numbers realizes. Impossible to do without revenues.
I have no problem with means testing SS and MC for example. Should have been done years ago.

    3. So 286 billion a month is not enough t run the enumerated Constitutionalists government. Wow. What a voracious monster.

    4. Great, lets chop the military budget by about 40% or so, then we're talking. Tax increases and means testing for the wealthiest among us: done. The nation is simply not going to support massive entitlement cuts to the elderly, poor, and our veterans.

    5. Well I think I would start with the many billions in government grants to all kinds of things. Look at the Ag Budget and dig deep and you will see the billions in welfare to eco groups and "so-called" scientists. That waste is in every budget category. Then root out the fraud and corruption. Hire ten thousand new IG's and give them subpoena power. Medicare/Medicaud alone is reportedly 50-70 billion in fraud. We can cut some of the military waste and bring our troops home from Germany etal.

Then, overhaul civil service so we can fire the deadwood and get rid of public unions. Those two things alone would save hundreds of billions. See, no tax increases, and we have a balanced budget. That does not stop you from voluntarily sending in as much money as you wish to Uncle Sam.

    6. Why should the wealthy escape the sacrifice that would be made by people of much lesser means? A sacrifice as you outline in many cases that would be devastating to families.
What, that tremendous trickle-down effect would cease? LOL. Yeah.

    7. Actually trickle dopwn worked very well.

Wealthy, now, let me get this straight. A wealthy person may be a business owner who starts out poor, but through hard work, 16 plus hour days and the use/risk of their own capital, succeed. Then you want to come in a take their money and give it to others through the use of force by the government. OK, I think I get your philosophy. Also, as you confiscate their money and they have to lay off employees to survive, what do you do with those employees?

    8. Anyone who buys into trickle-down is a verifiable idiot. Trickle down is a laughing stock, its a joke.

Reaganomics and subsequent wars created our deficits and economic bubbles.

    9. Trickledown led to the greatest and longest lasting economic growth in the last century. Your ignorance is transparent. You just did not like Reagan. Too bad you are so myopic you can't accept success.

  4. Trickle down is the only way we should be going down the trickle for the economic means of trickling. The LIBS don't seem to understand the trickle or the complexity and prosperity gained by trickling. We can only pray that the trickle results in a more extreme trickle to the GOP of voters that praise the strong trickling of the trickle.

  5. Trickle down did work. What's going on now is self-destruct. Any political scientist who isn't brain dead will tell you that when the number of people in government becomes too large the imbalance will destroy freedom and the economy. While government employees pay taxes they do so with taxes they collect from the private sector. More gov employees means more taxes collected to pay them

It's too bad more people don't know how it works. I've noticed that people who never had the experience of how much effort and expense goes into having your own business really don't have any idea about the economy. Most employees (paid by business owners) may realize that if they over spend on their credit cards they'll have a problem. Too many people are swallowing the war mongers stirring up race and class hatred. Unfortunately, those doing it don't realize that as the cost of living rises, and there are fewer good paying jobs there will be a tendency to look at how well off our public servants have become at our expense. It's an old story...Remember the French princess who said, "let them eat cake?" All those people who produced the grain wanted was to have enough bread to eat. She was pretty young and dumb, and didn't know where her wealth came from....but it testified against her when the slaves got fed up. Yeah...she lost her head.
