"Cruz praised God – "To Him be the glory" – and Martin Luther King Jr., and thanked a long list that included Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Ron and Rand Paul, Martin Luther King Jr. and even Dewhurst."
That will frost the cookies of the Beck and Hannity haters. Of course, this is also another victory for the anti-establishment Sarah Palin too. She is having quite the affect on many primaries across the country. She makes liberals, RINOs and the lamestream press run to the oxygen tanks because she is so effective the air leaves the room when she is around. The ;lamestreams still don't understand her appeal to conservatives, and I hope they never do.
Texas, for the most part has become a bastion of conservatives. I believe the Tea Party folks there are winning because the many people in the Republican Party have been fed up with the so-called _"establishment" Republicans. We call them "country club" Republicans. Since I am a simple middle class Republican, I never related very well to those folks. I see a sea change happening.
It also appears to me that all those "independents" out there have to make a choice and it has to be toward these Tea Party candidates. All we hear from the Indies is how alike the two party's are, the republicrats and the demicans as they say. Well, when there is a whole passel of Republican candidates, Tea Party folks, the mainstream R's are being whipped by, the Indies have to take notice and get on board. The Tea Party is a threat to the establishment members of both major parties.
With a simple strategy to balance the budget, follow the Constitution and get government interference under control, I suspect the message is very tempting to an Indie and even conservative democrats, those "Reagan" Republicans. With Obama trying to divide our people into segments by race and income, I think the Indie voter will do the right thing and vote for true American fairness. That is, for equal opportunity for all, not equal outcomes as proposed by Obama and the democrats.
Texas is just the latest state to field people with a simple, all American message and it is beginning to take hold. Look out America, November could put our country back on track and away from the cliff Obama and the liberals have placed it. Good ob Texas! Dan Logue is smiling tonight.
Yup, understand that you and many others in Repub circles have gone far, far right and reject those country-club member Republicans.
ReplyDelete..excepting of course the Quintessential Country Club Republican, the very Patrician Mr. Willard Mitt Romney!
You cannot make this stuff up..
Or is he (and Sheldon Adelson, Koch types) considered the Country Club Owner class?
You have no clue Robert, but keep it going. You make my point about the left with every post you make. The gift that keeps on giving.
DeleteAh, cannot refute the reality, ha Todd?
DeleteSo the Mittster is NOT a Country Club Republican or a member of the Country Club Owner Class?
So what the hell is he- a grass roots good-ole boy from humble roots? LOL.
You confuse the issue. A person can be a member of a CC but may not have the ideology of the CC R's.
DeleteSo your contention is that Mitt Romney rejects the ideology of the monied CC Member/Owner Republicans?
DeleteWith apologies to John McEnroe,
you cannot be serious.. Come on now Todd.
Country clubs? LOL!!! Have you seen the ones big union owns?
DeleteOnly the officers of those unions get to go to those places. NOT the workers who pay the dues that pay for those places, and the union officials paychecks.
Next time look into your own side's dirty laundry before trying to run ours up the flag pole.
But then again, its another case of distract and "hay.. look over here. Nothing to see over there", as ya' try and sweep your refuse under the rug and not get caught.(too late)
Robert...I've been around a long time and notice there's nothing extreme about Republicans. I was raised a Democrat, but life showed me the Republicans had more common sense and were nicer to their fellow human beings. Democrats today are extreme, and seem to follow the doctrine that "the end justifys the means." Do whatever it takes to get what they want. Unfortunately, they don't understand the simple math of Cause and Effect...what goes around comes around.

DeleteNo, there is plenty of dirty laundry for the Repubs to deal with. PLENTY. Starting with hiding the details of taxes and financial interests. Willard Mitt Romney remains an uber-wealthy patrician, backed by the wealthiest donors in political history. Yes, an etch-a-sketch Country Club type, times 1000.
ReplyDeleteRomney is successful, earned i himself. Libs usually get their money from mommy and daddy. Still living at home eh? LOL! Crying towel for you yet?

DeleteWouldn't you love to see and hear more about where Obama gets his donations. Lot's of stimulating green stuff floating around for those that get on board.
