I am 62 years old and have a couple of sons. I have made the mistake a few times that a father does with his sons when I thought I knew more about something, eve if I didn't. My sons would grouse when I talked over them because I thought what I had to say was more important. Well, all that did was cause a problem for me. Over time I learned to not treat them that way. Tonight, Joe Biden appears not to have learned the best way to treat someone younger.
The split screen allowed us all to see the facial expressions and body language of the Veep and wannabe Veep, Paul Ryan. Biden appeared to be the petulant know-it-all man we all try to avoid when we see him coming our way ay a cocktail party (like the Steve Frisch's of the world). Ryan stayed calm, his facial expressions were never outrageous and he tried to defend against Biden's constant interruptions with grace. Of course, the moderator, a female journalist, allowed Biden to be disruptive and looking back maybe that was OK. Let the world see what a arrogant know-it-all Biden is. Let him butt-in and overtalk. Let the younger voters see what he is and he is their DAD!
The issues were discussed and Ryan is what we know he is, a wonk. Biden is a politician. A big mouth but well dressed. I loved his tie. But he tossed the CIA and the other intelligence operatives right under the bus tonight regarding Libya and the murder of our Ambassador and fellow Americans. While Joe and Obama were at fundraisers for their campaign, the Ambassador was trying to secure Marines to protect them. I guess Joe and Barack were too busy glad handing Hollywood fat cats to pay any mind to those men.
Obamacare and Medicare were discussed so much I had to mute. (not really). But Obamacare swiping 716 Billion Medicare dolars was denied by Biden time and again. We all know it is true so save it for the liberal democrat morons Joe. I did yell at the TV once though. When Joe claimed Ryan cut 300 million from the budget for security. I was yelling at Paul saying "Paul, there has been no budget for four years and Obama's budget was voted down UNANIMOUSLY!" But alas Paul said not.
Anyway, I endured Joe Biden who to me typifies what a liberal really is all about in the political system. Blame others for your own failures and have no compunction about spending the hard earned money of the makers so you can give it to your takers. And Joe, you did not disappoint tonight.
In the toto of the race, Joe and Paul's skirmish will not go down in history as anything momentous. But it will have left a lasting impression on many independent young voters. Joe-Daddy! Piss off!

Once again, I am really not excited about either candidate or either VP. This has got to be the least enthusiastic I have ever been about an election.
