Liberals and democrats are all the same. Jeff Pelline, man what a piece of work, a true hypocrite and "bad ol' boy"!!

We all recognize intolerance don't we?  Well Mr. Pelline apparently does not
I did a post on the people I consider the new fascists in our country, the homosexual activist community.  They are shoving their lifestyle and sexuality down everyone's throats and we are just supposed to accept It according to Mr. Pelline. All of us, a huge majority here in America, just has to accept his view and his style of telling us.  We must agree and be quiet.  Sorry Charlie! The following is from Mr. Pelline's own mouth on his blog. (http://sierrafoothillsreport.com/2014/04/08/the-union-publishes-same-sex-union-not-a-true-marriage/#comments)

"jeffpelline says:
Todd Juvinall, once a county supervisor supposedly charged with leading all of us, not just his like-minded friends, has had enough of the “hoimosexual” (sic) activists! http://sierradragonsbreathe.blogspot.com/2014/04/hoimosexual-activists-are-new-fascists.html#comment-form
This is a market-driven issue, not a First Amendment issue. The Union’s subscribers include the aging, highly conservative demographic (Todd and George Rebane), so it caters to them with homophobic editorials like this. What would prompt you to write such a letter for publication in the local newspaper? Our family will never subscribe, because we live and work in the 21st century with a wide diversity of people. We’ve moved onto other issues and would rather discuss those. And our son is being raised to accept the LGBT community, so he probably won’t subscribe either. It will be irrelevant content. I happily recall how Obama’s children influenced his stance on same-sex marriage:"

When I returned from being away (I left my computer at home), there were some comments from bloggers on the topic and they were including mention of a couple of kids by some local people.  I got a number of emails from Mr. Pelline chewing me out and demanding I remove those comments.  I was under the impression that kids were off limits (that is actually my policy) and I removed those comments and asked the people to stop that.  Then I was told Mr. Pelline had actually made the above comment on his blog and included his kid.  Pelline actually called the Sheriff !  Well, no law was broken but etiquette demands I do the right thing and I did.  Today I was told about Mr. Pelline's comments on his own son and now I am pretty pissed at the hypocrite.

So there you have it.  Pelline tells the world he is teaching his son and mentions him on his own blog and chastises others for doing the same thing.  Liberals always do this don't they?  Yep.  Anyway, I would have removed the comments anyway and now that I read Pelline's comment and then his "thanks" to the Sheriff, (for dramatic inpact I suppose and/or imtimidation), we can all rest easier.  But this just cements my view of the person we all call the FUE (former Union Editor) as the hypocrite we have come to know.  Thank you Jeff Ackerman for getting this fellow out of the newsroom of our prized and cherished Union Newspaper.  We are sooo grateful.

  1. Todd, it appears that the topic of this post is one that should concern me, being the TRUE FUE. All seriousness aside, don't you find it revealing that the person in question wanted you to delete the posts because they addressed his complete lack of character, not his child? "Don't write anything about me that says I am a shallow narcissistic hypocrite because that hits too close to home".
I think I need some therapy. I'll bet they have some good shrinks in Berkeley. Did I tell you I'm moving back to get away from all you good old boys? LOL!

  3. Conservatives don't hate gays. They don't want laws in place to prevent them from "loving" each other (although that has been attempted and is still technically illegal in some states). Civil unions, legal contracts, hospital visitations, wills, trust, financial agreements, etc. etc. can all be accomplished without the need for "marriage" in the sense that America recognizes it to be. Like you said Todd, most of the laws allowing homosexual marriage were created administratively and not by a majority vote. I believe the objections are spiritual in nature, and the problem the gay community must struggle with is the term itself...."marriage". Therein lies the issue, because "marriage" by decree, proclamation and public policy in the state and federal rules, mandates, etc. is that America support 'marriage'. Sorta becomes legal. So, if a school wants to teach a course that includes the issue of gay unions, it can be inclusive to the course requirements for graduation. Wanna pull your kids from class because of the "pro-gay agenda" fostered by the government? Sorry....no graduation unless you complete the course. And that course is going to try and convenience you that the gay lifestyle is just as valid as hetrosexual lifestyle. At a minimum, your child will be taught to just shut up and accept it, and if you don't accept it, STILL keep your mouth shut about it.

The only problem with this agenda is the fact that kids are smart. They KNOW the law of physics (perhaps I should say physical) won't jive when it comes to their own experience, because they are in the majority. But they are being forced to be silent on the subject and folks end up never talking about it.

For example.....does it not seem self-centered that a gay couple want to adopt a child, then force the poor kid into an environment that he/she will not universally be accepted? "Johnny has two mommies" is not a rant that ANY child should be subjected to, and in my humble opinion, is a form of outright child abuse.

Kids are brutal because they are honest to their emotions, unchecked by maturity. Children of homosexual unions are set upon like so many others.....fat kids, shy kids....we see it in the news all the time....kids picking on other kids in person, on facebook, etc. etc. Cops get called. Lawsuits get filed. School administrators pulling their hair out trying to figure out how to deal with it.

What about the military? "Don't ask, don't tell". In other words, 'shut up' seemed to work, at least when I was in Vietnam in 1969. I can't recall anyone of the guys being "gay' but perhaps I had my head in the sand but I doubt it, because back then, the closet was home-sweet-home. Now it's in-you-face yelling, and actually trying to destroy any person who fails to shut up when talking about the matter. Give a donation to pro-marriage agendas years ago? Look out! You might be unemployed.

Why should a guy in the Navy get sexually-loving emotional satisfaction while at sea for months when the rest of the ship is 'serving their time'? What commander wants to have to deal with THAT kind of issue on his vessel knowing it will be another 6 months before shore leave is possible?

I guess what I'm saying is the closet was perhaps a better place because many in the guy community don't like the radicals within their ranks causing a lot of uproar that only feeds into the problem that is out there today. Remember the movie "Victor Victoria"? How about "Tootsie" starring Dustin Hoffman? Did they not teach us heterolsexuals some compasion, or a little understanding? Of course the did.

However, to try and equate homosexuality issues to any economical factor in any community (even San Francisco) as advocated by this Pelline fellow, is, without a doubt, completely absurd.

  4. Every time I come to this blog and read the posts and comments, it feels like someone is injecting cement into my brain. Perhaps I should stop coming here.

    2. So Michael other than the regular sport made of Jeffy and his constant moral preening (the FUE Bros....TRUE & REAL as well as my own personal brand of venomous mockery) how has this thread failed to uphold your decidedly high blog commenting standards?

    5. Michael, we know why you come here. You are der FUEherer's chief political handler -- fulfilling the equivalent role that Dietrich Eckart used to fill. You visit this site and report to der FUEherer so that he doesn't have to. I'm not sure what the reward is for you. Perhaps it's the leftovers from der FUEherer's fancy dinners.--JG

    7. It's hard to have a decent conversation with you guys when the crazy host is removing 3/4 of my responses.

Yeah I remember the good old days when you removed 3/4 of your own posts. Good times.

You can drag topics over to Rebanes.....that's what I do sometimes when I want to address topics that Jeffy wants to censor.

You get to talk about your own kid so I don't see any real hypocrisy in this!

If however you elected to employ your kid as a "prop" in another of your endless tiresome displays of your goodthinkfulness.....don't be surprised if someone refers to the kid in a follow on comment. I suspect that this was Jeffys intent all along.....mention the kid knowing someone will return serve, someone obliges Jeffy and mentions the kid in response, then very publicly work yourself into high moral dudgeon...(extra indignance points awarded for involving law enforcement in the whole sordid affair).

We should cut Jeffy a break on this one......getting worked up appears to be the only physical activity he gets.

    1. LOL fish! Actually, my understanding the FUE's position on kids is he wants none, wnywhere by anyone including himself. That he mentioned his goes against that deeply held, and non-compromising position.

    2. Well I'm sure that a hypocritical position taken by an individual who is so vastly morally superior to mere mortals like us is just one of the perks of his "office"!

  7. Well, it seems that this is all above the comprehension level of those without a degree in rhetoric so I will explain it to you.
I am good, smart, politically correct, and you are not! I support the correct political candidates, and you don't. I have a keen sense of moral perfection and you do not.
I am a political moderate, and you are hard right extremists.
I was dumped as the editor of The Union for being a shallow narcissistic hypocrite, and you were not!
Since I am clearly superior in every way, I am able to discern all of the despicable conflicts of interest that all of you good old boys have established through decades of working together to support your families and build this community. I hate that you do this and like this community, and I intend to stop it.
The problem is, there are thousands of you, and you are not giving up easily. I am going to get my candidates elected and then we are going to fundamentally change Nevada County.

  10. Here is a question that I believe is worth some discussion. Why is it that a spineless hypocritical blogger thinks that he gets to draw the lines on free speech and what is not acceptable commentary. He has made an art out of sliming everybody and everything that he doesn't like about the community that he moved into, yet runs to the sheriff like a little punk if he doesn't like what someone says to him. The legal lines are pretty clear on this, but the moral lines are really only contained by good taste and restraint by everyone involved. I believe that our dear Associate Bob has exhibited none of either. And furthermore, I believe that he should expect that things will only get much, much uglier if he continues on his current path, because, after all, the First Amendment works both ways. In my opinion, Associate Bob should either learn how to be more open minded and tolerant of those he disagrees with, or start growing a really thick skin. LOL!

    2. You'd think that with his girth, der FUEherer would be very thick-skinned all round, but if you've seen him recently his skin isn't so thick in other places. I'm trying to be somewhat delicate here (in case you're reading this during meal time), but there's a reason why 10 mega-pixel photos of der FUEherer's countenance are not found on any of his sites. But soon our local Paparazzi will have some good pics for us. --JG

  11. Hi Todd, When I made my earlier post about Jeff Pelline stating "And our son is being raised to accept the LGBT community.." I thought you knew that he had posted that comment on his own blog. I agree that in principle kids should be kept out of these forums. But it really peeved me that Jeff used his own child as a political debate tool. Jeff Pelline is THE biggest hypocrite in this county. Hopefully the dialog will discourage the FUEhrer from using trying to school Nevada County us on how to raise our children--JG
