Liberal Des Moines Register Endorses Romney

Well I guess hell has frozen over.  Iowa, the land of farmers, many still democrats because their moms and dads were democrats, has become a "battleground" state apparently.  All one has to do is read the endorsement and digest the reasoning to see why America in general will be electing Romney and Republicans next week.

HERE is the endorsement.

Obama was their man last time but, as we all have seen over the  last four years, the only promise kept by Obama is raising our taxes.  The Register thinks Romney will be better for the economy and in Iowa, that trumps all other promises.

Across America, the "makers" of our country are doing their best to take back the reins of power and responsibility from the "takers".  23 million out of work, many giving up totally, millions graduating from college with no hope for a job in their field.  Millions living with mom and dad (liberals do this mainly by choice until age 35) and the threat by the democrats for higher and higher taxes.  Everywhere the left has been in charge in our land we see them threatening to raise taxes and toss the citizens in the klink for refusing to pay the extortion.

All over our country we see democrats refusing to do the cuts necessary to balance the yearly budget.  California is the poster child for legislative democrat dysfunction.  With the legislative districts locked in to partisan hegemony maintained by the left, we have no chance to fix the mess here.  It almost happened in Washington DC but the Tea Party stopped that and brought some sanity back to the federal system.  Unfortunately the Tea Party fell a bit short and the Senate was left in charge by the liberals in 2010.  We see thirty plus bills passed by the House sent to the Senate and tossed in the round file by Harry Reid, democrat leader and resident scofflaw. Tose bills went a long way to fix the mess.

Perhaps next Tuesday, November 6, the people of America will regain their senses and boot the left out of power and put some adults in charge.  Democrat operatives have been doing their best to upset the political tsunami I see coming next week.  From stealing signs, tweeting lies galore and "keying" Obama's name in the paint jobs of Chevy's the leftwingnuts are in desperate mode.  The adults, those "conservatives" are maintaining their efforts to get out the vote instead of flooding the streets with criminal activists like the democrats.  The GOTV efforts are paying off as we see a rise in the polling numbers for the Romney/Ryan campaign.

Here at the end of the campaign we get to see the warts of the process of electing people in America.  Having been through a few elections myself I know the people that feel they are behind will be the desperate ones.  Obama and the democrats are desperate in my view.  All the trash talk, all the Leno and Letterman and "the view" visits will not save Obama and the left.  All the fibs they tell us about tax returns, Bain Capital and Mormonism will not work in my opinion.  America is hurting, hurting economically and to a great degree hurting morally and ethically.  We need adults in charge.

So, the Des Moines Register agrees with me and I am happy to see them finally get smart.  I think America will be smart next week too.  Romney/Ryan, the team to bring back people who know what the hell America is really all about.  They will protect the little guy/gal from the tentacles Obama/Reid/Pelosi have tossed out there to ensnare freedom from us. All this campaigning will end and peace may be restored again, well at least for a little while.

  1. Now this is a great story. We know have an official name for our rabid LIBS when it comes to "O"'s true believers. " Bed wetters" HAY! don't blame me,,,
Get the whole story right here, right from the heart of LIBVILLE.

  3. Who reads and follows newspaper endorsements anymore? If nothing else, Iowans are a very independent lot. Stubborn and independent as hell. Effect? ZERO.

Obama could lose Iowa, VA, CO and get to 270 via OH, WI,and NV where he has been consistently ahead for months. Obama is up 4 in VA today, however, so its likely looking like 290+.

  4. Uhhh,,, Mitt's ahead in OH. As for WI.,,, Forget how that worked out "poll wise"
in the special election? Libbys were supposed to win that night too. How did that work out? LOL!!
Then there is that little fact that even with the over sampling of LIBS by about 8% ( to make "O" look a little better in the polls) Mitt is still leading.

The way things are going, there is going to be a waiting line at the Forest hill bridge. Please pay the "mop up the mess" fee at the Auburn Cal Fire office just up the street from the bridge. Don't have the taxpayers pay once again for a Liberal's mistake. The first one was putting Oloser in office.

  8. Not a mention of this hurricane being blamed on the mighty "O". Wasn't he touted
as being one that could move the heavens and the Earth? He should have stopped this disaster. As I recall,, Katrina was the work of Bush. He made it hit New Orleans.
    Remember that?
Once again the Messiah will be held blameless. But this is the motive..... His little soldiers against capitalism ( OWS) just couldn't get the job done. So now "O" has done the next best thing.... FLOOD IT!! He ( "O" ) has done what no mortal man has done. Shut down Wall St. and destroy those evil rich people.
Now the big payoff to his union buddy's. Just think of the out of this world special union contracts that will be specific to storm damage and "union only" gets the FED money that will be piling in.
He couldn't have planned it for a better time. Now he can contest his loss till the cows come home. Maybe even demand a who new " do over".
Oh no... "O" will not go quietly.

  12. Leave it to MSNBC and some high profile LIBS to try and trash Mitt for holding a relief effort and donation drive. And for some reason the Red Cross didn't like it one bit either. The Red Cross just wanted you to send them money. NOT supplies.

Think that attitude will go over well when the people effected hear about it?
Mitt is sending in the needed goods as I speak, and the Red Cross is still pandering for money.

  14. A group of new polls have come in from Ohio. Also, spoke with some folks in Ohio tonight to confirm it.

It appears that the last 4 polls show Obama +3 to +4 in Ohio.

  15. Clearly Ohio polling for Obama. Romney is in full desperation mode with his flat out lies about the auto industry. Ohio undecideds are not stupid. And the Republican CEO of GM is not happy about the lies, nor the CEO of Chrysler/Jeep.

Hey Willard, would you fund FEMA? Answer the question. Or lose by a greater margin. Your choice Willard.

  17. Thanks Todd for taking out the trash. I see you have a "civil" Annon joining in.
    GREAT!
As to these "polls", I have noticed that there is an extra number of Dems being polled. Then they brag about "O" leading or tied. I even saw one "poll" that oversampled Dems by 8% just to make "O" look better in the outcome of that poll.
So how many other pollsters are needing to "handicap" O'loser just to keep him even relevant? Let me guess.... They don't want him to look even worse than Carter.(which he is actually)

  18. New polls out 10/31. Two new polls have O up in Virginia now.
One poll has romney up 1 in Colorado.
