Job Fair Yesterday at the Veteran's Building in Grass Valley

I stopped by to see how all was going and was a bit disappointed with what I viewed as a anemic turnout.  There were about twenty vendors there and I did not see any SBC booth.  I guess they can't help.  I wandered around a bit and said hello to our State Senator Doug LaMalfa (I would like to see him as our governor), Terry Lamphier, Ed Scofield, Keoni Allen (the last working contractor in our community, LOL) and Greg Marks.  Greg is Assemblyman Dan Logue's county rep and one of the dynamo's of the Republican party here.  I took this picture with my phone of a trio of apparent job seekers.

  1. They do not look like real job candidates to me. One should come to a job fair in business garb, not shorts and pajamas.

  3. LaMalfa runs a 2000 acre rice farming operation, he probably would'nt run anyway.

  4. Doesn't Senator Doug also get USDA crop subsidies? Like $4, 694,840 between 1995-2010?

  5. Yep, he has no choice. That is how screwed up the system is. Hey, he needs a driver for one of his harvesters, you interested?

  6. I'm curious how you are going to make the case that LaMalfa farms 'has no choice'. Is he devoid of free will? Hmmm...seems like hypocrisy to me.

  7. It s obvious you know nothing about the law and farms apparently. Call him up and ask him. You libs need to spend your time on Solyndra.
