Updated:Why Our Local Left is Irrelevant

The loons on the left are at it again.  They pick fights with us on the right then cry a river to their mama's.  Here is an attack by Steve Frisch, the whiny rent seeker from Truckee, on me on the leftwingnut blog he slinks around constantly.

"stevenfrisch
Todd is just the local version of Donald Trump; an arrogant, self important, misogynist, attention obsessed, womanizing, failure.
That’s why no one comments on his blog!"

So is it any wonder no one cares what these people say?  They just don't get it.  Pick a fight, call us names, and like any real men, we defend ourselves from these effeminate posters. Actually Donald Trump is not a bad correlation.  Why attack success? Oh, because the liberals are not, I forgot.

I love this technology!

Updated 5-02-11 at 6:44 PM.

Here is a post from the above fellow in response to a whiny post by Mike Thornton who I asked if he was ever arrested.  Steve Frisch I want to thank you for your honesty.

"stevenfrisch
I am damn proud of two of the three times I got arrested. One was for protesting at Rocky Flats, one for protesting at Seabrook, and one for a DUI (.09!), the one I am not proud of but feel lucky that I did not hurt anyone.
I figure you are not even living if you don’t get arrested at least once or twice."

Steve, so does  selling meth or committing murder make your gleeful acceptance?

  1. Perhaps the three strikes law should be expanded?

Okay, I jest. But in all my years of living I've never been arrested.

  2. Me either. It is really interesting the scofflaws are proud of being arrested and in this fellows case, being a drunk driver. But hey, they are good at judging others.

  3. I read very good thank you very much. You?

  4. I protest Steve's need for our tax dollars while pretending to be qualified to be a business consultant.

    ...it is really quite laughable.

    Woodsy 2.1

    ReplyDelete
  5. It truly is. The left are missing a DNA strand Woodsy.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Who is Woodsy and why does he get to post on your blog anonymously?

By the way, I never claimed myself as a business consultant, I am a non-profit manager, who manages a staff of 21, 6 volunteers, and 5 Interns, for a total of 32 people, running an annual budget of over $3.5 million now with pass throughs. I did work in the private sector for 23 years before that managing hundreds of employees, and annual budgets in the tens of millions of dollars at times. One learns a lot in the private sector; making payrolls, management style, operations policies, insurance policies, etc. What about you guys?

I could protest Woodsy sucking tax dollars by working in subsidized industries, but I can't know what work he does, because he is anonymous, and he has never shared that with us here, on The Union site, etc. I hear he is a bike racer, in which case my guess is he is the beneficiary of quite a bit of tax subsidies.

I would ask what is wrong with taking tax dollars if you can provide services more efficiently than government does (which is a major reason governments uses non-profits) or provides services government does not want to build capacity for for a one-time use (another major reason)? Isn't this the very privatization of government services conservatives have wanted all along? The only problem with it is that the only define "private' as for profit. But why should taxpayers create profit for 'for profit' entities. When they fund non-profits at least they know that any excess funds will go to their intended purposes.

The whole taxpayer funding thing is a canard, a red herring. The bottom line is your non-profits are just fine (NRA, Churches, Tea Party Groups, etc)

  10. Any one who says you're wrong, regardless of the person's name, is not considered legitimate. You post a blog and only want people who agree with you. What a dull man you are.

  11. No, I jst remove profanity and personal attacks. You are certainly duller than dull old me. LOL

  12. Well, Todd. Dull people don't like anything that might take them away from ideology b/c then they would have to rethink everything. Too much work for a dullard. It has become very clear to the community that all you really enjoy is fighting as evidenced in The Union, and here. If someone agrees with you up puffs the chest, anyone disagrees with you - you attack.

  13. No, I have a pot belly so I can't puff up my chest. I do defend myself however when attacked. You want to get along in life then you should be nice. Try it, it works.

  14. So who is Woodsy? Right here it says "Real name required" so who is Woodsy? And why does he get special treatment? What is he afraid of that I am not afraid of?

  17. This is exciting!

Steve, though your arrests are very tame...why the heck did you volunteer this fodder?

You said "I am damn proud of two of the three times I got arrested." So just go with it. Be who you are...but recognize that most of Todd's readers don't think as highly of your arrests. It's not the sort of experience we'd look for in a community business development role.

I'm not saying it disqualifies you, I'm just saying it's not something to brag about.

  18. John, (I really wish you would use your real name) I think it is important to put the comments in context, a practice that few posters on the right side of the blogosphere seem willing to do. I offered this information as a response to Todd goading Mike about a potential past arrest.

The point I was making was that in America we should be proud to stand up for what we believe in. In America we also accept the idea that people can be redeemed. It is one of the things that make us exceptional. We can achieve great things, and we can be flawed and overcome diversity.

I think I was pretty clear, although Todd chooses to twist it; I am proud of standing up for what I believe in, even though today I have a more nuanced position on nuclear power, and not proud of risking someone else's life for my own folly. But I do not seek to hide that or deny It. I take full responsibility and move on to try to do good in some other way.

The difference is that Todd and his ilk seek to use human frailty and weakness and a bludgeon to hurt people an suppress their involvement in the community. Todd did not ask Mike that question to give him an opportunity at redemption, he asked the question to discredit his point of view. That is a very mean thing to do. If Todd is truly a Christian as he claims in his bio on this page, he would recognize that the faith is about redemption, forgiveness and love, not about blame, retribution and anger.

For Todd to equate a DUI with supporting meth use or committing murder, as he did in my case, just shows how far he will go to be disrespectful to people around him. This is not an isolated incident, it is a pattern of behavior on his part.

Eventually this pattern of behavior will spill over to people he agrees with, as I suspect it has over the years, because it is emblematic of a disrespect for other PEOPLE not just other IDEAS.

  19. I do think your psycho babble is pretty indicative of liberals in denial of their own faults. You people place yourselves on a pedestal and claim some sort of moral superiority and when found out (as is usually the case) cry a river you are being mistreated. Please, get some cojones.

    ReplyDelete
  20. You are free to characterize it as psycho babble---I think readers see the truth. I go back to what I said originally, you and The Donald, separated at birth. Only difference is the Donald was a successful developer.

  22. Steve I actually think your point has some merit. And your "experiences" are certainly no where nearly as significant as forging one's birth certificate to illegally obtain an elected office.

While I know Todd's rhetoric can't be very welcome to you..you must admit that you kind of set the table for this one.

Let's move on. I encourage you to focus on helping to improve our local economy.

  26. John,

    Let me understand this....

40 years ago a woman had a baby in Hawaii, and the Hawaiian newspapers (2 of them), the hospital, the 2 doctors and the 2 nurses, then now the Hawaiian attorney general's office have all "conspired" to let a poor black child into the highest office in our land?

There was a birth announcement in the Honolulu Advertiser, which would be very difficult to invent or plant 47 years in advance of becoming President.

Is that it, or am I missing something?

My feeling is that you shouldn't start drinking until dinner time as those early morning shooters are not working too well!

  31. Keith,

I don't believe in stories either.

Don't take my word for it. Download the Adobe PDF version of the Obaman's purported Birth Certificate off the official blog on the WhiteHouse.gov website (if it's still there).

View the file in Adobe Illustrator. If you don't have it, take the file to one of your liberal graphic artist.

As you're viewing the multiple layers to the certificate, ask yourselves how a scanned original could have multiple layers.

If you understand the mechanics of scanning, you will understand that it's not possible to have multiple layers to a scanned original.

Thus, the purported birth certificate is manufactured (which in this case means forged--with the intention of deceiving the world into believing it was a copy of the genuine article.

This evidence of forgery is hard, tangible, and conclusive...and it trumps the fragile and emotionally based reasons touted by "the believe anythingers."

Regarding the other matter, thank you for your advice, but my Dr. advises me to drink after breakfast and before dinner--8oz each time. That's water of course. (I presume you wouldn't be insensitive enough to insinuate that alcohol influences my commentary here.)

    --John Galt

  32. Steve Frisch,

In response to your May 5 2:32pm post:

Clearly you and Todd have a history of blog warfare. I really don't know who started it. I don't really care for it...but occasionally I get a chuckle from it.

In general, if partisans used less adjectives and stuck to the facts we could actually have a conversation.

Take for example Keith Harris' comment above. He made some points that included something resembling of fact...but then he suggest that my commentary is affected by drinking (water I presume--everyone knows John Galt isn't an indulger of alcohol.)

I re-read Todd's opening quote (attributed to you) of this blog:

"Todd is just the local version of Donald Trump; an arrogant, self important, misogynist, attention obsessed, womanizing, failure.
That’s why no one comments on his blog!"

    So you asked me:
"Why is it that rules of civilized behavior never apply to Todd? "

    Here's my reply:
Todd is fully entitled to reply to verbal assaults as has. He's not restricted to polite rebuttals.

I would love to see a truce. But it truce involves both parties.

But until there is a truce, Todd is willing and capable of saber rattle with all. And until there is a truce, I think it's necessary to for Todd and others to respond as they do.

My personal approach approach to blogging is to stick the facts and keep avoid personal inflammatory assaults. I think Paul Emery and RL Crabb are fairly good examples of this on your side (so to speak).

    Onward to the truce.

    --John Galt

    ReplyDelete
  33. John, the warfare started when they started attacking me personally. They call us names and when we respond they cry and whine. They are relentless, just like a two year old wanting the candy at the checkout line. My personality is that I don't take their crap. I dealt with these kinds of people for 25 years and maintained my composure at all times. That started changing when they came after me and my family personally and with malice just because they didn't agree with my politics. I have no interest in a truce unless these people get down on their knees and ask me for forgiveness for their crap they dealt me and my kids over the years. I actually had one leftwing sap attorney from Nevada City going door to door telling people I was personally going to make money on the widening of Highway 174 when Caltrans was going to do their safety project. The lawyer was of course a helper to my opponent. But that is just one. I won the election and my opponent and I did bury the hatchet to this day. I still see the scumbag attorney and have no use for him however.

  34. So John you're basing you're comments upon the fact that a technology, that did not even exist 20+ years ago, now is being used to "create" a document that all experts in the Digital arts area have said it appears to be real with no type of digital "enhancement"....

I wonder what about the documentation in the Newspapers, the doctors, the nurses, the Attorney General's independent investigation, and even most recently Donald Trump's "investigation" that all have shown that this birth did happen, and was documented.

I just find it hard to believe the proposed conspiracy that 48+ years ago a poor black baby, born to a white mother, would have done all of this "skull-dagery" (48+ years ago) because she knew her black son would be the President one day....

If you believe this, well then I guess then I should go and make a Aluminum Pointy hat as the Aliens are coming and I don't want them reading my mind.

I'm sorry John, the "facts" of this case just don't support your contention, and the sheer number of details that would have needed to be done (again 48 years ago), by a poor white woman because she knew her black baby would be President, even though the technology didn't exist.

It doesn't matter how many "layers" there are, as you seem to not understand that the Attorney General of Hawaii has stated this this is the same document that was ordered from the State, and that he (and Mr. Trump's investigators) inspected

    Keith Harris

    ReplyDelete
  35. Keith, do you own a scanner that creates PDF files? If not perhaps you have a friend that does.

Scan a document into a PDF file.

Open it with Adobe Illustrator (or have one of your trusted liberal graphic artist open the file.)

The file that you scanned will have one layer.

That's all that's possible when a file is scanned.

However, if one is manufacturing/altering (i.e. forging) a document you will have multiple layers. These are layers of images (pixels) to produce a document.

As you state Adobe Illustrator and related technologies did not exist 20+ years ago. Thank you for helping to prove my point! It's impossible for the original file to have multiple layers. Since Obama's birth certificate posted on the whitehouse.gov website has multiple layers, it's impossible that certificate is the original.

I realize you may not be comfortable making this analysis on your own. You may feel it's necessary to rely on the opinions of other politicians. In this case, I feel that the average citizen can sort the truth from fiction themselves.

It's okay if you don't feel comfortable doing this, but others who read this blog may feel more equipped to do so.

For other readers, I care not about the race or wealth of Obama's parents. It is irrelevant to the fact that it is impossible for a scanned original document to be comprised of multiple layers. By definition it's not an original. By definition it's manufactured/altered (i.e. forged).

    --John Galt

  36. John, thanks for your input, but what about the FACT that this birth was documented by 2 newspapers as well as the FACT that it has been substantiated by "on ground personnel" that were there?

This is a very shallow stream that you're basing this conclusion upon, especially when people such as Donald Trump, the Attorney General's Office, John McCain's staff have all investigated the theories such as you say, but yet they all have substantiated this document.

The reason why I brought up the FACT that his parents were poor brings up a interesting point that to do this type of "distortion" of the truth would have taken million's of dollars, and even then, you'd have to have other technologies (such as being able to travel 45+ years into the future) to see that a black child would become President.

As much as I respect your tenacity, I just don't believe your premise when looking at the other FACT's in this case.

  41. Keith,

I believe it's technically still possible that Obama meets the citizenship requirements to be President.

However, this does not diminish the conclusive fact that the birth certificate that Mr. Obama has presented is not genuine. That is to say, it's impossible for that birth certificate to be an exact replica of the original birth certificate. It is undeniably a manufactured document.

One can only guess why Obama would allow a birth certificate to be presented that wasn't authentic.

It's reasonable to conclude that this was Obama's desparate attempt to thwart the momentum that Trump was gaining through his inquiry. And it seems it worked.

There remains some doubt that Obama is a natural born US Citizen. For millions of Americans, proving they are a Natural Born Citizen is an easy feat. For some inexplicable reason, Obama has strenously avoiding doing so.

Inquiring minds would like to know why?
