Someone is watering the Trump signs and making them big! And they are showing up all over the roads entering Nevada County. Looks like we have some very enthusiastic supporters here. I think there may be a couple of more entrances to cover so getum out there. Maybe the Nevada/California border and Highway 20 at the Yuba county line!

This is a hoot! Todd Juvinall appears to have stole this exact photo for his own blog, without giving credit. (It is identical, right down to the hood of the car, visible at the bottom of the photo). Todd is too stupid to understand copyright law.

We don't want a tourism based economy based on the backs of low paying service workers that clean up after and serve the bay area elitists. We don't want folks to live in Nevada and commute in to work because of sky high housing prices like what has happened in the bay area. we don't want to be like Truckee where the billionaires are squeezing out the millionaires and the service workers live in tents.

DeleteTruckee is mostly second homes and vacation rentals for bay area folks with money. It's low paying service jobs at the resorts and hotels. Few families, half empty neighborhoods of vacation rental houses and supported by low paid workers living in Nevada that commute to Truckee.
ReplyDeleteIt has been that way for a long time. I recall a 5-0 vote to allow a Kmart in next to the freeway and the cemetery back in 1990 or so. The merchants downtown sued and won with a decision by a chicken-shit judge. The regular folks (working poor) wanted the K-Mart for prices and convenience. Well the hoity toity won and the poor had to drive to Reno for a shirt they could afford. Frisch is all about the rich not the poor working people.
