Last Thursday President Obama threw out only true Allie in the Middle East, Israel, under the bus. There is no room left under the bus for all the fauxpas he is making. HERE is short article that sums up the "learning as I go" President's foreign policies. It is really embarrassing that each time he makes a grandiose statement, he has to backtrack and clarify. The planet is a complex place but this is ridiculous.
The AP had a story on Obama.s AIPAC appearance this weekend that was simply total propaganda. I call the AP, lackeys of the Administration. (the AP actually said AIPAC's name contained "political action committee" when in fact it is "public affairs committee"). They (AP) are simply stenographers because they never give Americans a unbiased report on Obama. The trust we have for the press is diminished so much it pains me to even point out AP's butt kissing.
Jennifer Rubin's column in the Washington Post is actually the most unbiased one I have seen so far. She actually talked to participants of the AIPAC Conference. She does have a final paragraph that everyone should read. Liberals, especially Jewish liberals, will still vote at the 60% rate for Obama, she says, even if Israel gets nuked. I thought that was a good aside to show the koolaid drinkers on the left are simply nuts.
The Palestinians will not relinquish their desire to wipe Israel off the planet, and along with Iran, if they have the chance they will. The pre 1967 borders are indefensible and to give up Jerusalem, the holy city to three great religions is unworkable. So, as far as I can tell, Obama just stirred a pot to make gruel for Israel and steak for the Palestinians. The speech was a rookie's idea of a complex and long lasting problem faced by a small group of people surrounded by a billion people who want them gone. Obama simply needs to remember who his friends are.
President talks about the "1967 borders"... can anyone here also tell us where President GW Bush said the borders should be?... ooops, looks like they both held the same position!
ReplyDeleteAs I recall, Gaza was forked over to the Palestinians in the name of "peace", and that was supposed to bring love and harmony. So,,, Just how'd that work out? It took less than a week for the rockets and mortars to start raining down, fired from Gaza.
ReplyDelete"O",,,the new Arafat.
Just a note to Steve,,,, Palestinians don't want peace. They want Israel Gone. Dead. Wiped off the map. Did CNN forget to say that?
Steve you have mischaracterized Bush' policy speech on the 67 borders. Here is the Bush policy. Perhaps you should do a better job of research.
ReplyDelete"he formulation goes beyond principles outlined by President George W. Bush, who stated during his first term that “it is unrealistic to expect” Israel to pull back to the 1967 boundaries, which were based on cease-fire lines established in 1949."
Some one needs to do more research...
ReplyDeleteIn 2005 President Bush endorsed a two-state solution with negotiations based on the post-1949 Armistice, pre-1967 borders:
"Any final status agreement must be reached between the two parties, and changes to the 1949 Armistice lines must be mutually agreed to. A viable two-state solution must ensure contiguity of the West Bank, and a state of scattered territories will not work".
Also the 1967 borders were the basis for the two future states in negotiations during the Clinton administration. Then-Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, now Israel’s Defense Minister, signed a document “understanding that the negotiations on the Permanent Status will lead to the implementation of Security Council Resolutions 242 and 338.” UNSR 242, passed in November 1967, calls for the “withdrawal of Israeli armed forces from territories occupied in the recent conflict.”
Watch and listen to Bush at the end of this clip... oh my, Bush and Obama are on the same page!

I love how liberals use Bush as validation of Obama. As imperfect as Bush was, Bush makes Obama look like an infantile joke.
ReplyDelete...which he is. Obama governs like a rookie senator that has never run a business or created even ONE job...oh wait, that's exactly what he is.

So who got Osama?... that would be President Obama... not George "mission accomplished" Bush
ReplyDeleteWe do appreciate Obama continuing Bush's policies. I have credited Obama and thanked him for being the "Go" guy to kill Osama.
ReplyDeleteSince Steve seems to be on the side of Hezbollah and Hamas when it comes to so-called "taken land",,, so along that same line of thinking, we should fork over California, Arizona, and Texas to Mexico. You know Steve,, there is a big group El South A' that wants that to happen too. So you on the Mexifornia Mariachi wagon too?
ReplyDeleteWalt poast... "Since Steve seems to be on the side of Hezbollah and Hamas"... say what?
ReplyDeleteShow where I ever stated that... sure would be nice if you stopped making stuff up.
Key word..."SEEMS".. Need to look that up? Are you,, or are you not,, siding with "O" on the screwing over of Israel?
ReplyDeleteBack when Israel got suckered into handing over Gaza, I knew full well that was going to backfire.
Get a clue Steve, the Palestinians and Arabs don't want peace with Israel. They want them dead and gone. What part of that don't you understand?
I also see that you didn't take issue with the "Mexifornia" question. HHmmmmm ( maybe I got that right? just a guess,,,,)
Walt psots... "just a guess". Seems Walt does a lot of guessing and trying to put words into other peoples mouths.
ReplyDeleteIn your own words... Get a clue Walt. If I haven't made a posted statement here on an issue stop claiming what you "guess" I think about anything.
So Walt.. it seems you still beat your wife and dog... is that true?
Key word..."SEEMS".. Need to look that up?
LOL,, I expected nothing less.
ReplyDeleteIt really gets to ya' when bested by a common ditch digger. I can tell. That's when you go into attack mode.
"O" is no friend of Israel, and they know it.(so do I)you have backed "O" on any given issue. So why should this one be any differant?
So where am I wrong?? ( goood luck with that one...LOL)
But your real good at dodging issues at hand.
Sorry, but once again Walt makes false claims... "you have backed "O" on any given issue". Nope, not true, there are a numner of issues, positions and actions of President Obama I have not supported... and some of GW Bush's that I have.
ReplyDelete"So where am I wrong??" asked Waly. Statrt with this... as it "seems" someone didn't attend english class as someone clearly doesn't know the differance between "your" and "you're".
Walt... I put some typos in my last post for you to find... how many can you find?
ReplyDeleteEnos, typos and spelling errors or not, Walter has more class in his pinky than you'll ever have sir.
ReplyDelete...that's real.
The 1967 borders comment by Obama was reckless, arrogant and not advisable. Obfuscate all you want Enos, but like Netanyahu said, "I ain't gonna happen."
Obama is one the worst presidents this nation has ever had and anybody that would vote for him again should be slapped.

Woodsy, lets not talk about "Class" at that is something you have none of!
ReplyDeleteWhen they were handing out "brains," I bet you heard "trains," and took one out of town!
Rich
(since Walt uses his first name I thought I'd give it a try)
Gosh Rich, do you always sound like a 5th grader or do you just sound like one here.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I had an unfavorable thing to say about your hero Obama. I know how this upsets the garden variety kool-aid drinker.
Woodsy
Woodsy,
ReplyDeleteSometimes it's better to not say anything and not let everyone know what a doofus you really are.
Rich
It appears that you speak from personal experience Rich.
ReplyDeleteSomeday your delayed maturation process will finally blossom...but it is highly likely that you will be on Social Security before that occurs. lol
I suggest putting the pipe down once in a while sir.
