Is a "gun runners" Legislative Assistant a good fit for Grass Valley's City Council?

Do you all remember the phrase "lipstick on a pig"?  I think Obama used it too insult Sarah Palin back in the Presidential race of 2008 and it worked its way into the common vernacular.  I have read today's Union column by council wannabee Jim Firth and the phrase seems to fit really well for him.

HERE is the column in today's Union.

I think anyone who wants to run for any elective office has every right to do so in our great country.  So as far a Firth's attempt I have no problem if he tries.  But I and anyone else who disagrees with him has every right to try and defeat him if we believe he is unqualified.  I believe he is unqualified.  He is in my view a partisan hack.  He represents the local democrat party in their leadership and is apparently a retired union organizer/leader/activist.  Reading his writings I conclude he is a ultra liberal, perhaps even with "socialist" beliefs.  He represents political philosophies I have opposed all my life.  I am a free market capitalist conservative who likes  smaller government and less regulation and taxes.  Firth is 180 degrees off of my beliefs it appears.

Somehow he is trying to convince himself he is a "regular" citizen and that his trait of "regularity" is lacking on the present City Council.  He is delusional.  He is no more a "regular" citizen than I am.  I have an agenda and would suggest if he he says he doesn't he is a bald faced fibber.  Being a partisan hack, Firth will expose himself to the slings and arrows of us who know what a "activist" is all about (did he support Occupy Wall Street?).  I have taken my share from the left over the years and have placed my opinions and views out into the world for all to see.  I would expect the liberals to come after me if I ran for office again.  Well, Firth has told us all a  about himself and in my view he is not a good fit for the city council.

Firth says this in his column today

"Regular Grass Valley citizens need a voice on the city council."

It is my opinion he is not a "regular" citizen but a political activist from the left and anything but a regular citizen  He even claims to have been a Legislative Assistant to Leland Yee, the infamous alleged gun running State Senator from San Francisco (who claimed he was anti-firearms).  What Yee and Firth have in common is "big city and big government" views of running things.  Our little town doesn't need a "big government", "big city" philosophy in charge of anything.

HERE is a column Firth wrote back in 2013 on YubaNet.  If anyone thinks I am being too harsh about his activism for the ultra left read it closely.  We don't need a "partisan hack" running Grass Valley.  We need people that actually know something about the place.

HERE is a really good critique by local attorney Barry Pruett on his blog.  He says it better than I do about Firth.

Grass Valley is still a small town and I have been a Grass Valley guy all my life.  The citizens have always been very careful about electing good people with good small town values to the council.  You voters will soundly reject this fellow Firth when you read all about him and mostly from his own writings.

  1. In the Yubanet editorial penned by Firth (a former union representative himself), he states, "Big money in the United States controls elections." As such, I am sure that he will forego big government union PAC money in his campaign, as he would not want "big money" controlling our local elections. Your thoughts?

    2. Terry Lamphier's Supervisor campaign was mostly funded by union money and a $10,000 contribution from a developer in south county. Lamphier got his big campaign donation from the developer a short time after voting to approve the project.

Lamphier and Firth bash what they call big money, corporate money, PAC money and conservative money that goes to their opponents campaigns. Will Firth and Lamphier take union money for their campaigns this time too?

Good question…..! Probably would be better and more accurate to put; "Is a 'hypocritical progressive soon to be Federal felon for engaging in behavior that he happily wrote legislation against and that would make his constituents subject to criminal prosecution if they engaged in vaguely similar behavior not a thousandth as egregious' Legislative Assistant a good fit for Grass Valley's City Council?

      But that's so wordy…...

What makes them think the Terry can win in Grass Valley by attacking the current council that is doing a good job after he was soundly rejected just two short months ago by the same voters. Sounds like sourgrapes. "You supported Miller over me...wannna wannna boo whoo."

  5. Instead of "gun runner" to help describe Leland Yee "automatic weapon and arms trafficker" is a better fit.

Leland Yee, Jim Firth's close friend and former boss was arrested for setting up a deal to buy automatic firearms and shoulder-launched missiles from the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, an Islamist extremist group located in the southern Philippines and attempting to re-sell those weapons to an undercover FBI agent.

Considering what Lee was trying to buy and who he was trying to buy them from, isn't this treason against the USA? isn't arm deals with an Islamist extremist group, one that would use the money to further their terrorist activities considered treason?

Leland Yee was a major, anti gun, award winning supporter and sponsor of legislative bills in California to increase gun control laws, stop the California use of "bullet button" systems on guns like the AR15 and ban and take away guns in San Francisco and all of California.

Leland Lee did this while at the same time working to make deals to buy automatic firearms and shoulder-launched missiles from the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, an Islamist extremist group located in the southern Philippines.

Leland Yee, Jim Fiirth's friend, Jim Fiirth's former employer, Jim Firth's mentor and Jim Forth even boasts "My additional work as Chief of Staff (Leland Yee) to a now discredited politician and former member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors provided me with a working knowledge of the legislative process.".

Does any one on the left grasp that Jim Firth is not a person to hold elected office based on this alone? Why has not one person on the left or "in the middle" of Pelline's blog posted a comment on Firth's post about this?

    1. The reason there is no outrage about Firth's history is he is not a conservative. The left will lemmingly support anyone but a conservative. We see this all the time. The left will support terrosits who would shoot them first if the gained power rathyer than a conservative who would save their sorry asses and souls. Liberalism is truly a "mental disorder".

  6. Lamphier said this in his press release, “People deserve respectful, thoughtful and fair treatment by their elected leaders”

Firth says the Grass Valley City Council needs to be "exposed".

So these two candidate are basing the entire Grass Valley City Council, they must be stopped is their main reason for running. Maybe Firth can pack up and move back to San Francisco and take Lamphier with him.

So how much union money and developer money went into Lamphier's failed re-election campaign? Could Lamphier be a bigger hypocrite?

    1. I actually agree with your Lamphier quote as I practiced that very thing when I was an elected official. It is really a generic statement and quite logical and non-offensive. I have no personal animus towards Terry so I am glad you did not print something offensive about him.

Firth though is a danger to freedom loving people in my opinion. I have no use for unions and no use for liberals like his old boss, Leland Yee so right out of the chute he and I will clash politically.

  7. Todd, do you not see Lamphier as both dumb and dishonest? Please look at his words and actions. He has actually asserted that the Dorsey Drive interchange has been a conspiracy for the past 25 years to secretly build a shopping center on the northbound off ramp, by a developer who has owned the land for the past three years. Have you watched video of the Supervisors meetings where he consistently has no clue as to what is being discussed? Being dumb deserves our empathy. Being dishonest deserves our scorn. Terry Lamphier is both. He is seeking to be elected to office in Grass Valley where he can bring his predominate character traits to a more dangerous forum. Can you imagine his logic about Dorsey Drive being applied to the decision making process for the economic hub of Nevada County. He was fired from the Grass Valley Planning Commission for being a complete idiot. Please help to make sure that Terry Lamphier is never elected to any office, ever. This is really important.

Chapter 2 Affected Environment, Environmental Consequences,
and Avoidance, Minimization, and/or Mitigation Measures
      42 Dorsey Drive Interchange
      Improvement Project
      Growth
In Grass Valley, questions of growth are frequently tied to proposed developments’ impacts
on traffic congestion. As a project intended to relieve
congestion, the Dorsey Drive interchange may be seen as creating opportunities for new development. In fact, this interchange is included in a list of capital improvement projects intended to provide capacity
for all new development in the area (see
Loma Rica Ranch Annexation Final EIR
      , October
      1998).
The proposed development with the greatest
likelihood of benefiting from the proposed
project (particularly in conjunction with the planned extension
      of Dorsey Drive beyond Sutton
Way) is the Loma Rica Ranch Special Development Area. Loma Rica Ranch is not
“unplanned” development. A Specific Plan has
been developed for the area, and will be
subject to environmental review under CEQA. The cumulative effect of the proposed project
in conjunction with other past, present, and plan
ned projects would be to further the City’s
land use goals, objectives, and policies.

    3. It should be noted that the California State Department of Finance ruled in 2014 that the City of Grass Valley Redevelopment Agency's transfer of the nearly $6 million bond issued to fix streets, water and sewer in Grass Valley was not allowed but chose not to force the City to recall the bonds.

    4. Are you trying to make a point here? I was on the Transportation Commission in 1985 when we designed the interchange and t was estimated to cost 5 million dollars. Also, every project proposed in the state of California and especially here in our county is attacked on the issue of traffic. So there is a requirement in the EIR's to deal with that. I heard a thousand times from the no growth people that if you build a road, put in a water or sewer line, or any infrastructure that you are fostering new growth pressures. It is as old an argument as there is for attacking any progress.

A new Tea Party plot has been discovered at the Nevada County Fair!

Friday night the Monster Truck race was won by local Andrew Peckham of Penn Valley. Peckham's Monster Truck is named "The Patriot", it features a red, white and blue paint job, an eagle and "The Patriot" along its side. Considering the name of the truck and considering the owner/driver is from Penn Valley it must be a Tea Party plot to brain wash the crowd at the Fair and take over Nevada County.

And of course anyone attending Monster Trucks show or owning and driving a Monster Truck must be a Tea Party, Rush Limbaugh, Ronald Reagan loving, inbred, clueless, red neck, Republican, gun loving, conservative that must be stopped.

  15. Will Jeff Pelline admit he was completely wrong? Will Jeff Pelline apologize to Grass Valley Vice Mayor Jason Fouyer? Will Jeff Pelline apologize to The Union Publisher Jim Hemig?

Here the truth, here's the facts, here's why Jeff Pelline needs to post a retraction and provide an apology.

Pelline saw the Vice Mayor at the Fair and decided to counsel him how he should conduct himself. Would have been nice if Pelline left Jason Fouyer alone to enjoy the fair, but no, Pelline couldn't do that.

So after that counseling session, on July 9, Pelline posted this on his blog:

“Let’s be clear: Firth didn’t start the “old boy/girl” debate. It was The Union’s Publisher Hemig who did that, when he wrote an earlier column “Are you a good old boy”? It was a thinly veiled support of the “GOB network,” a long-running “power that be” in our towns that is being challenged by more political diversity on the voter roles. Hemig was taking sides”.

Let's be clear Mr. Pelline, YOU are 100% WRONG! It was candidate Jim Firth that first publicity started the “Good old boy/girl” debate!

Fact, this started JULY 15, 2014 in The Union in the story “Two declare for GV City Council” where candidate Firth stated his reason for running for City Council again. Firth stated the following:

“It's time to end the reign of the good old boy/girl network”.

AFTER candidate Firth made this statement Union Publisher Hemig ran his AUGUST 1, 2014 piece titled “Are you a good ol' boy?”

Hemig started his Opinion piece by reprinting candidate Firth's “good old boy/girl” comment:

“It’s time to end the reign of the good old boy/girl network”, Jim Firth. This quote ran JULY 15, 2014 in The Union in a story about candidates Jim Firth and Jerri Glover putting their names on the November ballot for Grass Valley City Council”.

Grass Valley Vice Mayor and candidate Fouyer's Union “Other Voices” response to candidate Jim Firth ran AUGUST 9, 2014.

Facts don”t lie, check the dates, facts are meaningless to Jeff Pelline. Firth announced his“It’s time to end the reign of the good old boy/girl network” reason for running for Grass Valley City Council on the front page of The Union JULY 15, 2014. Publisher Heming's RESPONSE to candidate Firth ran AUGUST 1, 2014. Vice Mayor and Grass Valley candidate responded to candidate Jim Forth in The Union AUGUST 9, 2014.

On July 9, 2014, after "counseling" Vice Mayor Fouyer at the Fair Jeff Pelline posted his 100% wrong “Let’s be clear: Firth didn’t start the “old boy/girl” debate" rant.

Then we also have candidate Firth's insulting, personal “us regular citizens” attack posted directly to Jeff Pelline on Pelline's blog on AUGUST 1, 2014:

“Welcome home Jeff. My campaign for Grass Valley City Council will begin soon. I do appreciate that you wouldn’t have advised me to use the language I selected in the July 15th article in The Union. However, I firmly believe that us regular citizens, not business owners, or the Contractor’s Association or the Chamber of Commerce need and deserve at least one, and frankly several voices on the City Council. One way to achieve this is by continually exposing how the current Council doesn’t represent us. It’s going to be an interesting 3 months".

It's candidate Jim Firth making the personal, insulting attacks. Why hasn't Pelline posted one word about that?

Jim Hemig and Jason Fouyer RESPONDED to Firth's attacks. Jeff Pelline can try to rewrite history all he wants, but he is WRONG!

When will Pelline post about candidate Firth's insulting, personal attacks? Will Pelline admit he was completely wrong, will Pelline post a retraction and apologize to Grass Valley Vice Mayor Jason Fouyer and The Union Publisher Jim Hemig?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Correction, should have read "On August 9, 2014, instead of "July 9, 2014" after "counseling" Vice Mayor Fouyer at the Fair Jeff Pelline posted his 100% wrong “Let’s be clear: Firth didn’t start the “old boy/girl” debate" rant.

  17. I don't understand why you [Mr. Anonymous, which seems to be the new standard here, so I will follow the standard] would consider a comment about the 'good old boys' a personal attack? Mr. Firth did not name or attack anyone personally. Mr. Fouyer is a sitting elected official, referred to him as such is totally acceptable.

    He named interest groups.

By DEFINITION that is not a personal attack.

You are turning it into a personal attack so you can attack Mr. Firth personally. Which is really par for the course both on this piece of dirt blog and in county politics.

Why can't you guys talk about the issues?

The issues Mr. Firth identified are that the City of GV is going to be $2 million in the red under the current management, that not enough is being done regarding economic development and job creation, that growth based on past land use patterns may not be beneficial to the city, and that the leadership in place, who can be named because they are the current city council members, where present at the creation.

Really you people are so mean and nasty I can't believe that any intelligent or informed voter in Nevada County would listen to anything you say here.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Steve Frisch also posted a WRONG rant on Pelline's blog about the "Good old boy" comments.

Fact, this started JULY 15, 2014 in The Union in the story “Two declare for GV City Council” where candidate Firth clearly stated his reason for running for City Council again. Firth stated the following:

“It's time to end the reign of the good old boy/girl network”.

Steve Frisch posted this on Pelline's blog:

" I read Jim’s original comments in The Union and it is pretty clear that, in context, what Jim Firth was saying was that the city faces real challenges, that new ideas are needed, and that electing new people without new ideas is not the answer. He never ‘called out the good old boys’, he called out the failed old ideas".

Sorry Frisch, you are WRONG, candidate Firth clearly stated his reason for running in the July 15 Union story. It's Firth's own statement!

The one taking sides on this is Pelline. The one wrong about who started this is Pelline.

Pelline needs to re-read The Union's July 15 story “Two declare for GV City Council”. On the front page of the Union Candidate Firth clearly stated his reason for running for City Council, that being, “It's time to end the reign of the good old boy/girl network”.

These are Firth's own words, printed in The Union July 15, weeks before Hemig published his "Good Ol boy" response to Firth.

  20. Jim Firth rants but has no idea what he is talking about. Jim Firth rants and attacks but doesn't know the facts. Firth is greatly uninformed or he's lying to the public, here's a recent example from Firth's rant in the Union.

"Revenue generated by that sales tax Measure N is being used to fund paid positions in the city’s police and fire departments, buy a fire engine and repair city streets, but Firth said there’s an important element missing from the list".

Firth stated “The way that Measure N was promoted at the time was to have monies to hire a drug enforcement liaison for the police department, to bring up the staffing levels and to repair the streets and sidewalks in Grass Valley,” he said. “The one that they haven’t hired (drug enforcement) is the one they promoted as the necessary officer.”

News flash to Jim Firth, GVPD added a number of Officers with Measure N funds. GVPD also refill the previously cut, designated Drug Enforcement Officer and also rejoined the Nevada County Drug Task Force, all done with Measure N funds! The City is also spending drug forfeiture money to buy an undercover car for the Measure N funded GVPD Drug Enforcement Officer.

Firth rants, attacks and accuses but has no clue what he's talking about, or is Firth purposely stating false information as part of his campaign efforts?

It's not over,'' said Jim Firth, who managed the campaign against the ballpark. "They waged a battle, and we waged a skirmish and they won. But this is going to be a long-range war.' "Firth, 49, lives on Potrero Hill and would look down on the waterfront ballpark if it is built. "This is a land use issue, and it's the wrong location," he says". This statement alone says volumes about Jim Firth.

  26. Does Firth even remember what he says, writes and posts?

Jim Firth says on Pelline"s blog, "While enjoying my morning coffee I too came across The Union OpEd. My campaign will be truthful, positive and allow me to focus on our community’s future".

"My campaign will be truthful and positive", add this to Pelline's statement "I am not active in politics".

And the Pope is Jewish and Elvis is alive and well and living in Arizona.

    1. I don't think Pelline does because he never recants any of the myriad errors he commits with the facts and his "friends". I think it has to be some sort of mental issue.

On another front, I am shocked that there has been NO recantation by Steve Frisch on the Ferguson brouhaha. It appears the man killed was stopped right after he committed a strong arm robbery of a convenience store and slapped the proprietor around. His pal who was telling the world about him after his death was his perp pal in the robbery. Come on Frisch, tell us all how wrong you were to judge others before all the facts came out. Oh, that's right, it doesn't matter what the facts are for a liberal does it? Just that your view fits a pre-supposed template of American racism. Too funny.

  27. Are you mocking me? Are you making fun of my appearance again? Are you pointing out that I am a slimy hypocrite with zero integrity? Well I will have you know that I AM NOT active in politics. In fact, I'm not active in anything. Well, I was going to be active in Over Eaters Anonymous but that takes too much work. OK, in reality I haven't even seen my feet in 15 years, but I know they are still there because Brutus puts my slippers on for me every morning. And you are all just jealous because I have a boat. I call it The Purple Peter Beater! Now go away and let me finish my chili fries. LOL! The TRUE FUE.

  28. Todd you must really have a serious reading comprehension problem. No where in my comments on Mr. Pelline's blog did I speculate on the guilt or innocence of Mr. Brown. Here is what I said:

"I can’t help but notice the hundreds of posts over at the blogs of our esteemed friends protesting the militarized police in suburban St, Louis [Ferguson] using excessive force to control public roads and disperse protesters and journalists who are exercising their constitutional right of free assembly and speech.

Oh, I’m sorry, I must have be dreaming, because there are no such posts on our local heroes blogs. The people protesting the death by multiple gunshot wound of a unarmed man attempting to surrender to police don’t really look quite like our local heroes who stood up for Cliven Bundy.

3 days and no protest for the rights of residents of Ferguson from our ‘conservatarian’ buddies."

My comments referenced the militarized police in Ferguson and the lack of comment from those protesting the militarization of the police at Bundy Ranch when faced with an even more aggressive action.

I went on to ask what you thought would happen if on day one the residents of Ferguson had responded with open carry of fire arms while protesting the police. You know what would have happened, and so do the residents of Ferguson, they would have been shot.

My main point is that your 'conservatarians' stand up for a white ranchers buddies but not a black teenagers, which really just shows what total bullshyte your 'constitutionalist' argument really is.

    1. I suggest you re-read the tripe you just wrote Frisch. If ever there was a bunch of BS it is that. You were making a childish attempt to make some sort of point only you seem to get and we are all supposed to understand it? Nope, it is totally without logic and the point you made is moot anyway. We wait for the facts and you shoot from the lip. We have the high road you are down in the weeds and yesterday's lettuce. Besides, I have always been a conservative so you also made up a name I never claimed.

Regarding Cliven. That is a totally different issue and you apparently are not bright enough to figure that out. I would suggest you try a lot harder making your points relevant to the topic. No one was killed in Nevada. There was no rioting and the cops from BLM (I can't believe they have cops) withdrew. In Ferguson a store video showed a robbery by the dead man and it has thrown everything into a tizzy. When the facts are complete I will decide if I will write anything. Also, the Missouri Governor sent a Captain to take over from the dopey Chief and bring order back into the town. And golly Frisch, he is BLACK! And I support him. So, go back in your bedroom and close the door and when you get some smarts come out to play.

....just like a session on the heavy bag. The perfect start to any morning!

Interesting and oh so on topic.....I recall that after the "political phase" of l'affaire Bundy wound down Cliven and his "Band of Rustlers and Cutthroats™ didn't feel any compulsion too ride into town and give them an "Old Number 6" like the inhabitants of Ferguson did last night?

Taggart: I got it, I got it!

      Hedley Lamarr: You do?

Taggart: We'll work up a "Number 6" on 'em!

Hedley Lamarr: "Number 6?" I'm afraid I'm not familiar with that one...

Taggart: Well, that's where we go a-ridin' into town, a-whompin' and whoopin' every livin' thing that moves within an inch of its life. Except the womenfolks, of course.

Hedley Lamarr: You spare the women?

Taggart: Naw, we rape the shit out of them at the Number 6 Dance later on!

      Hedley Lamarr: Marvelous!

Perhaps Fergusons Urban Olympians could learn something from Mr. Bundys brand of "low key" political action.

  29. You are forgetting who this is about. This isn't about Firth, of Frisch, or any of those other F words. This is about ME! Me, Me, Me, Me, Me. I am the only one who matters here. You are all just a bunch of good old boy wannabes, and I hate all of you. Just like my best buddy Firth, who hates all of you too. Just wait until I get him elected as Head Hater In Charge Of Everything in Grass Valley. We will stamp all of you business owners out! We will own you then! Firth and I will control everything, and we will make Terry Lamphier...Dog Catcher or something. Hard to find a job for a guy like that. LOL!

  34. NEWS FLASH SCOOP!

As you might know Dollar General is building a new store in Glenbrook Basin. Here's a "scoop" not covered in local blogs, Dollar General just offered to buy Family Dollar Stores!

And here's another "scoop", Howard Levine is Chairman of Family Dollar’s Board of Directors!

Here's the Forbes story with all the info:

Monday morning Dollar General announced a bid to acquire competitor Family Dollar Stores $9.7 billion, or $78.50 per share. The proposal includes a $2.26 per share premium over Family Dollar’s closing price on Friday. More significantly the all cash offer is $4 higher per share than the $8.5 billion merger deal with Dollar Tree that Family Dollar agreed to last month.

“For Family Dollar shareholders, our proposal is financially superior to the current transaction agreement with Dollar Tree and would provide Family Dollar shareholders with a substantial premium and immediate liquidity for their shares,” said Dollar General CEO Rick Dreiling in a statement. “For Dollar General shareholders, the proposed combination of Dollar General and Family Dollar would be a significant strategic opportunity to create immediate and lasting shareholder value. For both Dollar General and Family Dollar customers, we would be able to provide better value and greater selection.”

Following the announcement, shares of Dollar General were up 11.6% in pre-market trading to $64.10. Family Dollar shares were up 4.9% to $79.75. And Dollar Tree shares were down 1.5% to $54.80.

Sterne Agee Analyst Charles Grom updated Dollar General to buy from a neutral rating on the news, noting that if the deal goes through he estimates more than $1.20 in earnings per share benefit. If not, Grom says, Dollar General had the leverage to fund a share buyback.

In a letter to Howard Levine, chairman of Family Dollar’s board, Dreiling wrote, “As you know, we at Dollar General admire your company and its attractive footprint and business prospects. We have respect for Family Dollar, its employees and its leadership, and both Dollar General and Family Dollar share a commitment to serving customers in the communities in which we operate. As such, we were surprised and disappointed to find out you had entered into a merger agreement with Dollar Tree.” Dreiling wrote that he would postpone his previously announced retirement until May 2016 if the deal goes through, noting in a call with Wall Street analysts that he probably wouldn’t have announced his retirement “if I thought this asset was in play.”

The combined company would have close to 20,000 stores in 46 states. Dollar General expects revenue would hit $28 billion and for the deal to generate synergies of $550 million to $600 million on an annual run-rate three years after the deal closes. Dollar General expects the proposal would lead to low double-digit adjusted earnings per share growth in the first full-year following the deal, minus costs associated with the merger. Dollar General said it is prepared to divest up to 700 stores to quell antitrust concerns.

Goldman Sachs and Citigroup Global Markets agreed to finance the deal, covering estimated fees and expenses, including the $305 million fee Family Dollar would owe Dollar Tree for terminating the companies’ current agreement.

  38. So Mr. Middle of the Road posted a rant about Dan Miller taking campaign donations from a conservative PAC for the Supervisors race. He also rants and Grass Valley City Council candidate Glover.

Not one word about Terry Lamphier taking large amounts of campaign funds from unions (which are PACS) and not one word about candidate Lamphier taking and using a $10,000 campaign contribution from a big real estate developer in south county, outside of his supervisor district. Candidate Lamphier took the $10,000 contribution a few short week as after he vote to approve the project and vote to deny the project appeal by adjoining residents that were fighting the development project. If it Looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it's a duck or in this case something that sure smells worse than a rotten pile of fish.

Mr., Middle of the Road, "I am not active in politics" Pelline failed to include any of that in his latest political attack.

Then we have Jim Fiirth and his use of union contributions. Pelline also failed to mention Firth is a long time union organize from san Francisco,

Jim Firth was Leland Yee's right hand man in San Francisco, his Chief of Staff no less, where Firth says he received his "working knowledge of the legislative process". Firth's mentor was Leland Yee and Firth says it prepared him for public office.

Leland Yee is also changed with other crimes like taking brides.

Pelline doesn't cover any of this, but laughingly claims he's Mr. Purple, Mr. Middle of the Road and says "I am not active in politics".
