The Snippiness of a Liberal

Like many conservatives I get into some heated discussions on the blogs, mostly with liberals or the non-aligned, leaning left folks.  What I have discovered is they can't take the heat.  When a conservative places those darn facts in play, a lefty gets snippy.  I think it is funny.

I have debated lefty's ever since high school.  When the Vietnam War was raging there was a split even in our community, if we should be there.  Our Social Studies teacher was offered a little time on the local cable channel which was located up on Ridge Road across from the present day mini storage.  Well, the teacher had a bunch of young people who were opposed to the war and they picked a spokesmen to speak for them.  Well, the teacher couldn't find anyone who would take the pro side, mainly because they were afraid of the blowback from the anti kids.  Well, he came to me and asked if I would take it and I said "heck yeah".  I liked the underdog position even then. The fellow I debated was from my class and a well spoken young man.  He was a total hippie lefty and virulently against the war and why we were there.

I was not sa proponent or opponent before I started my research preparation.  By the time I was ready for the debate, I became a supporter of the war and the troops.  I felt we had to live up to our treaties and America's word was important.  Stopping communism from spreading was also necessary.  It was the USSR and China's attempt to spread their terror.  America had to stop them.  On to the debate.

There was a moderator of course, and I have no idea how many people watched it, but we actually had a call in too.  We did the back and forth like any debate but when it became evident my opponent could not debunk the facts he went personal and interjected "feelings".  That was my first experience with the debating techniques of a liberal.  I carried that knowledge all through my life.  I have yet to see any liberal behave differently then my high school opponent in 1967.  A young liberal has the same personality as an old liberal.  They cannot debate or carry on a conversation without resorting to getting personal and namecalling.  Since I learned how to defeat them in high school, I have been forearmed an am able to defeat them in adulthood.

The local liberal bloggers are  no different than that high school hippie I defeated in 1967.  They think we should all just roll over and take what they say as the truth.  Sorry, we on the right like facts to back up the truth.  Liberals can't handle the facts so they make them up.  I was at the Town Hall at Hennessey the other night.  I heard all the questions.  Then I read Ben Emery's comments on a blog stating he was there and asked some question.  Either I am deaf and blind or he wasn't there and made it up.  I just don't recall him being there.  Then I read where the local bloggers are so afraid of us big bad conservative bloggers that they made a pact not come over and comment on our blogs.  They can't take it when confronted with the truth and the facts.  That just cracks me up.

The left moderated all of us ff their blogs while we on the right encourage the exchange of ideas.  Yes, we can be like a barnyard dog in our beliefs and  when we don't give in to the liberals, they put their tales between the legs and bolt for cover.  Too bad.

  1. I think he is just a fibber. I don't think that is a good quality for someone who wants to be a our Congressman.

  2. No secret pact, like Nixon had with Mao on the resolution of the war. We just stopped coming because you guys are too stupid, isolated and irrelevant to bother with. We are just using Sun Tzu and applying the principles of asymmetrical warfare to modern communications.

My guess is this comment will generate more traffic than you had in the last week. See if your cohorts can resist!

  3. You have tarnished yourself and SBC by being such a radical lefty. You give all of us such great fodder. Like the 70's song. More More More.

  6. The Chef has spoken. I wonder how in the hell a guy with a culinary certificate thinks he has anything legitimate to offer in the area of Leadership Studies.

Maybe Steve would like to comment on the ell-eff-ess model of leadership; or maybe he'd like to comment on the spectrum of authority...without using google. lmao.

  7. Woodsy, the rent seeker is a little loose around the edges. How a cook can get to be in charge of our tax money and then spend it on trips to DC to smooze with those people he says he hates is quite a trick. Maybe we need to see his books?

  8. Jerry Brown should grow a pair and cut off ALL funding to special interest groups.

If they want to pretend they know what they're talking about while engaged in areas they have no formal education in, they can do it on donations from their supporters.
