The country's voters are jumping on board the bandwagons of their favorites for President and it looks like a TIE! America may see a very close election one way or the other or it might be a blowout for O or for Romney. There, I have covered the possibilities and I will be called a soothsayer the night of the election results. This is why all this "wishing and hoping" is so amazing.
Millions of dollars is being spent at all levels of our political system to get out the message of "vote for me". This is truly the price of freedom in my view. Every singe candidate raises and spends a gazillion bucks to tell us how wonderful they are and what a scofflaw their opponent is. I have been through this myself a few times and I have some fervent opinions about all this electioneering.
The polls apparently show a "dead heat" with Romney and Obama. All tied among likely and registered voters.America is headed for a long election night perhaps. I would say the election of 2000 may not have anything over this one. Then,. maybe not. Historically the independent voters surge at the end for the challenger. This would be Romney. I would not expect them to vote in very large numbers for Gary Johnson or other third party candidates. They will go to Romney in my estimation.
This could lead to a six or seven point Romney margin and a change at the top. The Senate and House should be Republican majorities too as I read the polls. Even if Romney does not win, we will see a split government and a screeching halt to government overreach at the federal level. I would say the House will not fund some of the programs and Obama will have to sign Executive Orders to implement his policies. That would be a "extra-Constitutional" set of acts that could toss our country into a crisis of governance.
But all this guessing about who will win and by how much will be played out on Tuesday, November 6. Early voting stats say the R's have a 52-45 edge and the "battleground" states are too close to call. The momentum seems to be going in Romney's favor though. With the devastation of hurricane Sandy across the Northeast, we may see some impacts to the voter totals of the liberal bastions for Obama. With the Tea Party playing out voter GOTV efforts across the land, we may see a large surge going to the polls (2010 again?) all day Tuesday and casting for R and R. Romney picking Ryan was a smart move to energize the Tea Party and we may see the numbers uptick for them since Ryan is a Tea Party favorite.
Voter fraud across the country will hopefully be ata minimum but the democrats do like to cheat, especially in Illinois. After watching the numerous recounts in Minnesota which finally found enough votes to elect Al Franken and in Washington State to elect the democrat as Governor, we on the right are well aware of the tactics the democrats use to steal the franchise.
Voter ID's should be implemented all across the land and we should no longer tolerate the voting by the dead democrats of the local cemetery. Of course, Obama and his minions count on the 10 to 20 dead people voting in every precinct across America. That is how John F. Kennedy won in 1960. He won by one vote per precinct in the end and most of them were dead people thanks to the Daly machine in Chicago and other machines across the land..
America will survive no matter who gets elected in my view. We are a strong and optimistic people. We will not allow our country to become France or Zimbabwe. We are a unique country in the history of the planet. We prize the rights of the individual. We protect the rights of the individual. We are each important. No longer allowing ourselves to be just "cannon fodder" for the "leaders". The very fact we have as a people said the government is our servant, not the other way around, has been a monumental break form the earths history. America will survive no matter what happens on Tuesday, it is up to all of us to do our duty and vote to ensure we survive.
I bet there is a lot of people in N.Y. and surrounding arias that are rethinking their anti 2ND Amendment stance. There is many a Progressive that wishes he/she had a gun right now. Since the only ones that have them are thugs and cops. ( and the cops are nowhere to be found.)
ReplyDeleteWalt, don't you know those libs have a secret gun? They just don't want you to have one.
DeleteDear Red States:
ReplyDeleteWe're ticked off at your Neanderthal attitudes and politics and we've
decided we're leaving.
We in Massachusetts intend to form our own country and we're taking the other Blue States with us.
In case you aren't aware that includes California , Hawaii , Oregon ,
Washington , Minnesota , Wisconsin , Michigan , Illinois, New York and the rest of the Northeast. Out of the kindness of our heart we’ll give you New Jersey.
We believe this split will be beneficial to the nation and especially
to the people of the new country of The Enlightened States of America (E.S.A).
To sum up briefly:
You get Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma and all the slave states.
We get stem cell research and the best beaches.
We get Andrew Cuomo and Elizabeth Warren. You get Bobby Jindal,
Todd Akin and Newt Gingrich.
We get the Statue of Liberty. You get OpryLand.
We get Intel, Apple and Microsoft. You get WorldCom.
We get Harvard, Princeton, Penn, Haverford, Berkley, Colgate and Michigan). You get Ole' Miss.
We get 85 percent of America 's venture capital and entrepreneurs.
You get Alabama.
We get two-thirds of the tax revenue. You get to make the red states pay their fair share.
Since our aggregate divorce rate is 22 percent lower than the Christian Coalition's, we get a bunch of happy families. You get a bunch of single moms.
With the Blue States in hand we will have firm control of 80% of the
country's fresh water, more than 90% of the pineapple and lettuce, 92% of the nation's fresh fruit, 95% of America 's quality wines (you can serve French wines at state dinners) 90% of all cheese, 90 percent of the high tech industry, most of the US low sulfur coal, all living redwoods, sequoias and condors, all the Ivy and Seven Sister schools plus Stanford, Cal Tech and MIT.
With the Red States you will have to cope with 88% of all obese
Americans and their projected health care costs, 92% of all US
mosquitoes, nearly 100% of the tornadoes, 90% of the hurricanes, 99% of all Southern Baptists, virtually 100% of all televangelists, Rush
Limbaugh, Bob Jones University, Clemson and the University of Georgia.
We get Hollywood, Yosemite and Yellowstone. Thank you.
38% of those in the Red states believe Jonah was actually swallowed by a whale, 62% believe life is sacred unless we're discussing the death penalty or gun laws, 44% say that evolution is only a theory, 53% that Saddam was involved in 9/11 and 61% of you crazy ba*stards believe you are people with higher morals then we lefties.
We're taking the good weed too. You can have that crap they grow in Mexico.
Sincerely,
Citizen of the Enlightened States of America
So how soon will you be surrendering and asking for aid? Every "Blue state" is broke and doesn't know how to survive without other people's money. Every "blue state" that has turned " Tea Party red" has dug themselves out and are now prosperous.
DeleteGood luck... Your going to need it.
BTW,, Have you seen how well CA. is doing? You can have it, right along with the dementia patient, Gov. Moonbeam.
Dear Red States- that was perfect, spot on. Beautifully summarized.
DeleteTough for the Walts of the world to swallow. Truth is nice though.
LOL Jenny... ALL "Blue" states are in the fiscal crapper. Unlike " Red" states that were once in the Blue, are now fiscally sound under Conservative leadership. All the sappy back patting isn't going to change that fact.
DeleteLets take the coal mining states. Over 16,000 jobs in that line of work are gone in the last two months. Good luck keeping them in the "blue" column. They may have been Union Leftys a few weeks back, but they know who snuffed their jobs.( and it wasn't Mitt)
Think they will vote for the guy that kicked them to the curb?
So take the 16,000 and multiply that by at least five ( just for a conservative guess) to add friends and family members that may have voted Dem. Then add the lost business to the equation. Higher costs for the lack of coal power. Yup,, those Dems are feeling the bite of OWE's grand plan too.
The prosperity of the RED states will not be forked over to the welfare Blue states anymore.
If Romny wins today Walt, I will go man a suicide hotline for liberals too!
DeleteLOL!!! So will you put our favorite " Anonymous" on hold as he's contemplating between grabbing the Scotch and taking HY49 to
Deletethe ridge with the headlights off, or a match and lighter fluid?
Yes,,,, it's going to be a rough night.
See, I have a backup plan if Owebummer wins.( the margin is well within the usual LIB monkey business in the dead of night)
IF Dear Leader pulls a Putin and/or Chavez out of his..... hat,
I'm not going to fret. I will just become another burden on society.
File for 100% disability ( which I damned near qualify for anyway)
Quit making my house payments and find that GOV program that makes them for me. Denounce my citizenship, sneak back across the boarder and get all those other freebies that us citizens don't get.
Leach off the system.. Why the Hell not??
Well, it sounded good anyway,,, I'm one that has some self respect
and a conscience.
I found one hell of a comment post. It was in answer to some N.Y. LIB that thought their power grid was just too complex for " rednecks" to comprehend.
ReplyDelete@LaQuan Jackson, I hope your power stays on so you have the means to continue to prove your ignorance in print. You have obviously never been assisted with a flat tire on the side of the road after dark by a redneck with a hi-lift jack or been welcomed into a home and given a glass of sweet tea, or been prayed for by a congregation of people - black, white, orange, pink, purple, male, female, old or young because you have troubles, or been aware of the fact that these same rednecks cried and were ready to take up arms (which we all have) and stand side-by-side to defend y'all when the towers fell, or have witnessed these same rednecks come to your rescue when a tornado/hurricane has torn your life apart. We rednecks don't WAIT for assistance, we are assistance - we don't care who you vote for or what your religion is or what your values are - we help in any way we are capable of - down here it's called Southern Hospitality. You see, down south, we cut the trees that storms lay down in our yards and on our houses in November and burn it for firewood to keep warm, we help ourselves and we are good at it. I pray that your lack of education and understanding of some really good, honest, educated, caring, hard-working, don't need a union, christian people in this country will be clarified and you will see you were wrong. And, I pray, that the next time you are stranded, a good old redneck is the one to stop and offer you aid and not a drugged up thug that sees you as an opportunity.
Turns out this was from a "redneck" lady.
Ah yes, must be the fact that rednecks are god fearing Evangelical Christians. LOL. The same voters that Romney has attracted- low intellect white holy rollers! Now I see. NY/NJ is a bunch of pagan city folk who had it coming...
DeleteJen thanks for the bigory you have expressed. We always knew that you were.
DeleteJust a response to a nasty, bigoted rant against the good people of the NE. It is a fact that Romney's core constituent group is what I described. Look it up. No respect given by me for the Todd Akin/Murdoch types of the world. Nope.
DeleteJen you are the bigot honey, not I. Look in the mirror if you dare.
DeleteUneducated holy-rollers who refuse to move into the 21st century do not deserve respect. Simple as that.
DeleteSO you are a bigot Jen. Are you a racist homphobe as well?
DeleteWill continue to call out religious clingers, hypocrites and phonies. You cannot cite anywhere in the Bible where it refers to free market capitalism or the nebulous values of "Western Civilization," whatever that might be. The attainment of wealth and the plundering and acquisition of land are not biblical values. You're a bible scholar apparently, so show me where I am wrong.
DeleteJen you are the one alleging the Christians say there is "free enterprise" in the Bible. If you allege it then you must think it is so. I have never said anything of the sort. The Bible and the teachings discuss "free will" all through the book. I would suggest you are simply a religious bigot and afraid to admit you lack the courage to believe. Gos will give you grace anyway.
DeleteTodd,
DeleteWhy do you refer to Jen as "honey"? You obviously do not think she is a "honey", so one must conclude that you use it as a belittling tactic, a put down using a sexist slam to keep her in her "place". Eh? Stop it please. It is offensive to women and men.
Oh lase, you PC nuts are just too sensitive. She calls us Christians vile names and you complain about "honey". If you could only see how silly you are.
DeleteSilly? Hardly. You can't see the subtle harm you create every time you address a woman that way. Saying that people are too sensitive is just an excuse for your quite harmful sexism. You and Walt continue, on a daily basis, insult and hurt people and then cover yourselves by saying folks are too sensitive. Yet - when you are personally challenged about this you simply don't allow the post. Your use of "honey" is a not so subtle hostility.
DeleteYou really don;t see how ridiculous you are? Wow! No wonder we say liberalism is a mental disorder. I bet calling that babe "honey" is more harmful to your self esteem than being called a liberal. What a hoot!
DeleteMy self esteem is quite intact. In fact, I guide/teach others to stand up for themselves and others in self respect. Much harm has occurred to woman over centuries of verbal abuse, spoken by men who use derogatory terms to describe and control them. Your remarks are a hurtful, old way of relating to women. No matter how you spin your words - what you do by calling a woman you don't know "honey" is completely disrespectful and hurtful. I am respectfully asking you to stop doing that.
DeleteYou can stay PC anon but I will use the term "honey" as I please. Go back to sleep now.
DeleteIf the use of "honey" isn't at all sexist or meant to be degrading, why don't you refer to the men who have posted on this insufferable blog as "honey"? I'd love to see you post on one of Walt's comments referring to him as your dear old honey boy.
DeleteThis is why, fellow anonymous poster, people should never vote republican. There are many more self-righteously sexist men (like Todd) who vote republican than there are democrat. I.e. Obama passed equal pay for women, but Romney didn't know what to say when he was asked if he'd do the same.
DeleteYou two anonymous nuts are the poster kiddies for PC foolishness. You trash conservatives and name call then cry like little babies when someone calls the babe "honey". Too funny.
DeleteAh, here's the voice of logic from story today:
ReplyDeletePaul Ryan squeezed in time on a four-stop, five-state day for a conference call with evangelical voters Sunday evening, issuing a warning about a second Obama term saying the president is putting the country on a "dangerous path" that compromises "Judeo-Christian, Western civilization values."
Can you cite where in the bible we may find those Western Civilization values? Is he referring to the pursuit of money through capitalism and Ayn Randish civilizations? Where's that in the good book again? :)
You should attend some evangelical churches Jen and study the Bible as well. Perhaps then you can be saved from your secular abyss.
DeleteI know its tough to find, but where, oh where, are those values in the bible?
DeleteSo it appears you have no religious background Jen? Why don't you attend a church or synagogue? Are you afraid?
DeleteNot personally into mythology after growing up with religion like the other millions of minions and coming to my senses through education. Have at your faith, but I will call out any Faux-Christianity when its appropriate. Evangelical holy-rollers in America do not reflect any of the main tenets of the Bible which I read.
DeleteWatch Florida, folks. Florida is moving Obama slowly, slowly, but surely over the last 2 weeks. Peaking now for the President into a very tiny lead! After being down by 8 or 9 a month agao. Mark this down, this will be the surprise state of the election!
ReplyDeleteI've been watching the polls there all week. I think part of it is the relief action on Sandy that has moved many Floridians.
FLORIDA. :)
Well we will see honey. America is a great place and I know it can survive Obama or Romney depending on who we are supporting. Florida will give those electorals to Romney.
DeleteGuards will need to be posted at the Forest hill bridge for the next 72 hours.
ReplyDeleteWe need to help those LIBS that can't handle the lose, and want to end it it all, since their dream of a Socialistic empire has come crashing down.
Todd, still have the man-love for Chris Christie that you had several months back? :) lol...
ReplyDeleteMan-lpve? Now that is funny! Why would I be concerned about Christie?
Deletehe said that obama did a great job with the hurricane response
DeleteWalt,
ReplyDeleteDo you ever eat your words?
Every poll in the nation is predicting an Obama win.
Thats: "...handle the loss", not "lose".
Our dearest Jenny chick... Us guys do use "like" terminology.
ReplyDeleteYou must be a real youngster. Even back in the gold rush days
men called women "honey" Same for the roaring 20's and so on.
So somehow your "better" than the women that came before you?
They didn't have a problem with it...
Now for us guys. I could consider Todd, a " brother from another Mother".
Pal. Buddy. Etc.
Yup, I have even called ya' honey,, myself.( Heck... I think I'm the one that started it.) Funny how some things take hold.
So we can always give you a choice... How bout Sweet cheeks? Babs?
Darling?( that's always a good one)
Hell I've been called just about everything one can get away with. You don't see
me whining about it. I laugh it off, wear it like a badge of honor.( it just wee's them off even more.)
Yes, Jenny,, your a Darling,.... but your OUR darling.
congrats, obama won
DeleteYou boys care to amend your projections tonight....? Its 6:46 and the path is closing fast on Mittens. he he he he.....:)
ReplyDeleteWatch Florida boys!
More imporantly,
Welcome to the Second Term! Howza bout dat Walt?
Jen
Hey Todd, meethinks Chris Christie is the smartest man in the Republican Party...:)
ReplyDeleteChristi knew what was coming and *no pun intended)..BAILED at the opportune time. He will be a front runner in 2016. And won't be a dinner guest of Willard and Anne. :)
...funny how the moderator is holding everything longer tonight...
ReplyDeletegee, I wonder why :)
Wa wa wa...Can't face reality and the happiness of liberals and smart women? :)

Yikes, the R's got spanked hard across the U.S. The Tea Party R's got spamked the hardest. President Obama for 4 more years.
Walt, don't jump!
