Alito and Roberts May Skip Obama's SOTU Address

Always looking for something to whine and complain about regarding anything conservative, the left wing nuts are trying to make hay out of Justice Alito teaching law students in Hawaii rather than sitting on the House floor listening to political BS by President Obama.  Oh golly, how could he?

Justice Scalia says this, "It is a juvenile spectacle, and I resent being called upon to give it dignity, Justice Scalia told the Federalist Society in November. “It's really not appropriate for the justices to be there."

  I agree. Why should the Supreme Court Justices, a non political body of people, sit there and listen to political  mumbo-jumbo for an hour.  The full article is HERE. Clarence Thomas never attends, and none attended in 2000.  It is strictly a individual call and Justice Breyer, one of the leftwing Justices and a former Senate staffer, attends and loves it.  Last year when Obama was misrepresenting the Court's decision on campaign finance, Justice Alito mouthed, "not true" to the Obama fibs and the lamestream media took Obama's cause up and denigrated Alito.  When you you hear someone lying to the American people in the people's house are you supposed to be quiet?  Well, Alito was correct in his decision allowing free speech to prevail.  Besides, the decision came after Obama raised a BILLION bucks in the Presidential election.

So, if they want to go, go.  If not, do something else.  Besides the new seating arrangement is going to be a hilarious comedy.

So I say nobody in flyover country cares that the Washington DC elite think the Supreme Court should attend these political events.  It is more important for our President to tell the truth when he speaks to America and I would suggest the press spend its time and effort to hold the truth up rather than worry about some ridiculous phony protocol.
